MSI workmanship is exceptionally high quality and it has all the bells and whistles for a home server or main desktop system. Used the AMD A10 - 5800K Processor and it performs at 4.1Ghz easily. Manuals and included items are nicely packaged. Have built systems for twenty plus years. This motherboard was just a joy to build! Cons: No Cons at this time. Easy to mount in my case and configure. The OC Genie works great. Cons: Cannot get 2 channel analog sound to work from either the rear panel or the front panel. Windows 7 shows the device is working using the realtek drivers. However, I cannot get any sound on the device. I have used both headphones and line-out to a receive. The same line out cable works when plug into an ipod. The headphones work when plugged into any other device. The device is not muted. MB is easy to overclock and easy to maintain. I bought this with the A10-5800k so no overclocking is necessary though I could easily squeeze a bit more out of this processor. Windows "NIGHTMARE" 8 Compatible, probably should be a CON because it has no other that I can think of. Cons: NONE, other than being Windows 8 Compatible, none. I will not EVER INSTALL Windows 8, I will wait for the next version. Other Thoughts: Over all the MB is SOLID is so many ways that it is not possible to list all the wonderful features. Other Thoughts: In previous reviews I detailed my successes and failures with this board. One arrived DOA but was replaced by Newegg and is now OK. A second seemed OK at first but memory slots 3 and 4 did not work. I did not want to have my server down for several weeks, so I ordered a third board to use while the second was being replaced under warranty by MSI. Third board arrived the other day -- it booted up fine but again memory slots 3 and 4 did not work. I called MSI and their tech told me to update the BIOS from 1.6 to 1.7 (easy to do with a USB drive and the BIOS's "M-Flash" feature -- kudos, MSI). Update went OK but memory slots still not working, so I called back and got an RMA. I will send the second board back and, when the replacement comes, install that one and send the third board in. Were the memory that you used all identical modules? Please try using a single memory module on each slot individually and see if it works. N/A 5/1/2013 11:28:13 AM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 2/5Decent, but I'm not blown away Pros: everything I needed integrated right there on the board, simple build for a decent price Cons: the RAID functionality was what I was after when I ordered this board, however the utility is not loaded from the factory, and the instructions state you need a windows disk, an ODD, and a FDD. this was for a Linux build so I have none of those things. I should have read the manual before but I assumed that advertised functionality would be there out of the box, I'm a bit disappointing. Other Thoughts: the hardware appears rock solid and I only really have the one complaint. a bootable Flash BIOS update tool would be much more practical than what the instructions suggest. as a linux user I tend to balk at instructions that call for a windows install CD. RAID is an integrated function/feature for this product, you will have to enable RAID in the BIOS first, and then set up disk array, and then load the OS.
