The MSI Military Class series products provide the long lifespan, unparalleled quality, extreme performance and ultimate efficiency. Insisting on the best stability, MSI utilizes Hi-c CAPs on Military Class series. 5 out of 5 eggsGR8 Motherboard, but ...

Pros: Love the motherboard and the multiple expansion slot it has. Works 24/7 as my media server running Windows 7 Pro.

Rosewill Blackhawk - Original Case
Raidmax 730w Power Supply - Modular

AMD FX 8320E 3.2GHz 8-Core / Corsair H60 H20 Cooler
AMD MSI 990FXA-GD65V2 Motherboard

32GB 4x8GB Crucial 1600MHz Memory

25TB 5x5TB WD WD50EZRX Green Drives (GPT Format)

512GB Apotop SSD - OS/Programs

LG 16x Bluray Burner

EVGA GeForce 730 2GB PCIe Video Card

Cons: Not really a con ... but who puts a chipset or south bridge in the way of a PCIe x1 slot just below the on-board sound ?

I would have put my RAID card there but it wouldn't fit. No worries I put my Wireless AC card there instead.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely buy it again to build another system.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes well for a mid range.

Pros: Solid build,

Cons: It can't handle the ram speeds as advertised. I only have one HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 and had to reduce the speed down. Not sure if I even want to add more ram to the board as I'm not getting my money's worth.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend for gaming, or video editing.

5 out of 5 eggsHad it up and running in no time

Pros: Looks great, great chip set, value priced. Nice bang for the buck.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: I got it this yesterday and had it up and running in about an hour with new processor and graphics card. Booted up first with no problem. I've been mainly an MSI guy for the last 15 years and have never had to return a part.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a very cheap MB using a 990FX chipset. Good quality. Working good.

Cons: No front panel USB 3.0. The second PCIE 16x slot is too close to the power supply and you barely can plug your graphic card in. Even if you do so, there is no more room for fan. CF/SLI is impossible.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: It is a 990FX, has two PCIE 2.0x16, 4 PCIEx1, 1 PCI, 6 SATA III, and lots of usb2 incluidng 2 USB 3. Not problem with post and the UEFI is easy to navigate and inlcudes some hints on what the items are, although some are not too useful. It includes a fast boot for the OS and BIOS and the OC genie can be as easy of detail as you want. I have it in auto.

Cons: Considering the price I paid (after rebate -$59) on black friday/week) and that is a 990FX system with 6 SAT III I cannot complain or provide cons.

Other Thoughts: This is my first build and includes:
MSI 990FXA-GD65; AMD FX6300: 8GB G-Skill Ares DDR3 1600: ZOTAC ZT GEForce GT630: Asus XONAR DG 5.1: Generic DVD; Coarsair CXM 600w power: CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 cooler: Rosewill Challenger ATX mid tower w/3 fans: 1 120 GB SSD : 2 750GB RAID 0 WD Black series hard drives: WIN 8.1- 64.
Set-up was easy and straight forward. The only hiccup was setting the raid but it was not the motherboard fault. I loaded windows first as I have read to disconnect other drives if you want to load in the SSD, then set the RAID and go thru the RAID menu to select the draives. Well this did not work and got a" could not find OS" or smething like that. Checking on what happen found some info that I needed to reload windows as it had to load special drives when using raid mode. I did and all went great after that. System is really fast.. So far think that WIN 8.1 is great and easy to install. Althought there is some getting use to it. At least it allows you to switch to the standard destop view with not problem.
