3 out of 5 eggsOk for Budget build

Pros: Cheap, Good for making a portable desktop

Cons: only 2 slots for RAM

Other Thoughts: Do Not update the BIOS, I updated them using "MSI Live Update 6" (MSI's own update tool) and it failed half way through and I had to pay to ship it in for repair and was without a motherboard for over a week. When on the phone with tech support they said that it almost always crashes and you have to send it in, and they recomend not updating BIOS.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid this board!!!!

Pros: None - DOA

Cons: If II had read the many other reviews of problems with this product, I would never have bought it. It was cheap, but all it's good for is a paperweight.

Other Thoughts: I have built quite a few systems, but this is the first completely dead MB I run into, and after reading other reviews its no surprise - DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: Nothing to say...

Cons: Still a bad compatible issue between the CPU and this motherboard that MSI has completely FAILED to update their lists still experience horrible disgusting reboots without any warning, event viewer is useless tried all operating system, swapped the heck out of parts, components POWER SUPPLIES!? nothing! worthless!

Other Thoughts: Even after I got a replacement its still doing the same issue it did since day one, I am never buying MSI, and never buying from this place since I came to realize that because it has no onboard video support its a horrible combination to use an amd APU a series CPU with these disgusting useless motherboards its only gonna result and constant barrage of reboots, system failures and BSODs MSI you really outdid yourself when you regurgitated this useless model, I apologize for the Irate behavior its just I have not been able to properly ENJOY my new system since October of last year when I made the mistake of ever going for going for this particular motherboard, Should of realized when my old one started to fail horribly to just stay away from MSI.

3 out of 5 eggsNo RAID?

Pros: Great design overall for this type of board

Cons: I really needed to get RAID 1 on this board. It sales that you can, but it seems impossible. There is nothing on documentation, could not find it on the MSI website, or any other searching I did. Something this simple should not be that difficult

Other Thoughts: For RAID I have never had trouble or difficulties doing this with Gigabyte. Will probably stick with them in the future.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware Newegg shoppers !! DO NOT BUY THIS MOTHERBOARD

Pros: None, the motherboard worked for one week and then it failed to POST . Sent me another one...dead on arrival .

Cons: I don't write reviews about hardware purchase even if they fail, I always give chance to the manufacturer to make it right . But boy these MSI people are just stupid . I RMA the board and paid the shipping cost, board came back after 3 weeks just to find out that they sent me another BAD board . I called them again...same process they wanted me to pay the shipping again . I spent more money on shipping than the actual cost of this garbage . So I canceled the second RMA, because at this point it's just not worth paying the shipping cost again.

Folks I didn't have luck with this board, be aware when buying. Yes the price is attractive but the hassle..... it's just horrible dealing with them . Please avoid if possible go with Asus or anything else....just NOT MSI !!

Other Thoughts: And this would be the last product that I'll buy from MSI .

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
All our replacement board would be fully tested. Based on the symptom you reported, we suggest you checking following steps below since many reasons can cause the situation like this ,
1. Check and make sure that power are connected correctly and firmly (JPWR1 and JPRW2).
2. Check your other major hardware’s (memory, video card, CPU and power supply) to ensure that they are not the cause of the issue.
3. If you need further assistant, please feel free to contact our technical support department directly at 626.271.1004 from M to F, 6am to 6pm Pacific standard Time.

1 out of 5 eggsNever will do business with newegg or MSI

Pros: None, this motherboard was a dud, never gave out power to screen, keyboard or mouse. all of that was tested on another computer.

Cons: beware, of this motherboard. i will never do business with MSI brands ever again. the guys working there don't know what they are doing. they tell me to take the battery out.
this motherboard was bad. i call the MSI guy he says i gotta pay shipping, and it iwll take like 7 days for them to do process the RMA, and on top they will fix it and send it back, so they gave me a bad motherboard and on top wanted to give it to me back after several weeks of no computer.
I called new egg they gave me free shipping to send it back for a refund.
beware of MSI guys, newegg is good in customerservice. will not say the same for MSI.
i will never buy this brand again, and may only buy from other retailers or tiger direct in the future.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from this brand, ican't express the words but i will use the term animal droppings to describe this brand. the guy on MSI customer service asked me to do the most dumb things, to see if the motherboard didn't work and told me to call him back.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate on my mobo

Pros: Works efficient and reliable and fast sata connections.

Cons: none that I can identify atm.

Other Thoughts: I must say that I apologize for my bad judgment of this motherboard in my previous reviews as it turned out the problem was identified to be an external bad wiring with the case I ordered however my first motherboard did had a problem that contribute to the wiring in the case to suffer a short that caused the spontaneous reboots, but when I received my replacement and the same problem occurred I thought that I received another dud, However that was not the case as I discovered the bad wiring of the case to the motherboard was causing it to reboot with a different pattern.

I have now the motherboard on an old case that seems to run with no boots at all the new case that i ordered however turned out to be the real culprit, however it was hard to really identify it when my first motherboard came out flawed so after lots of intense diagnoses and research I solved this problem again I apologize 100% for my bad conduct I let my frustration get the better of me but I was able to get help for this problem and its now solved and therefore i changed my rating to 5 stars.

1 out of 5 eggsBUYERS beware; BAD MOTHERBOARD

Pros: none to offer.

Cons: Up to this day this motherboard continues to BLEEP out with random to constant seizure inducing CRASH reboots it is the most unstable MOBO I have ever come across MSI your out of the league here.

Other Thoughts: I really wish Newegg could stop promoting bad motherboards MSI did not do jack squat with my RMA they did not even bother to ask me more details on the rebooting issues and other symptoms they just succeeded in wasting my TIME and MONEY on a useless dud if it could even be called THAT the fact that it turns on, WORKS but the constant reboots are the bigger nuisance that after a while it began to mess up my operating system to the point of complete reinstalling it only to have it done all over again.

They just took my MOBO and didn't bother to give me an update status or what kind of work it was done it almost felt like they just had it sitting there collecting dust and gave it one quick buffing and send it back, I'm through with MSI very disappointed with this motherboard and forced to just buy a more reliable brand instead.
