5 out of 5 eggsAlways good luck with MSI

Pros: This board is really nice and the BIOS interface is really cool. Appears to be of good quality as expected from MSI. I am not an overclocker but it appears to be easy to do with the presetting option. There is not much to say about this board.

Cons: Even with my technical knowledge and I've been building systems for 20 years, my video card is PCIe 2.0 which the slot that I inserted it into and I assumed that this board was doa after not seeing the BIOS splash screen. After dismantling part by part and then reinstalling listening to the POST beeps I found it was the video. At that point I was like let me try the other slot, low and behold no beeps and I finally saw the BIOS splash screen. I would never thought PCIe 3.0 would be compatible. Frustrating but good to know.

3 out of 5 eggsFaulty USB 3.0 header?

Pros: Works...for the most part

Cons: 3.0 header faulty?

Other Thoughts: This is what I know. The upfront 3.0 ports worked before the old MB died.

With this MB, there is nothing indicated being plugged in to the 3.0 header.

Being able to see what specific components are connected to the MB in the BIOS using an interactive map of the motherboard is neat. Other than that, it's a MB and it is functional...for the most part.

5 out of 5 eggsEggcellent MOBO

Pros: This MOBO with an A10-7700k and 16 GB of DDRIII RAM and a Seagate 4 TB model ST4001DX001 SSHD from time I hit the power button until Desktop is displayed with windows 8.1 pro x64 is only 6 seconds, not from standby, but off.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I highly endorse this product

5 out of 5 eggsGood Budget Fm2+ board

Pros: ***Update Bios Before Installing New AMD Graphics drivers***

Solid Build Quality

Plenty of features in the bios

Cons: A lot of these boards ship with release bios from December 2013. So if you install a Kaveri Chip the bios shows and lists the CPU properly but if you install the latest catalyst drivers when you reboot windows 7 & 8.1 will blue screen and loop.
Installing the latest gives full 100% functionality to Kaveri APU 's.

So as long as you update the bios after OS install with MSI tools you will be fine.
Not a fault of MSI there has been 5 bios updates just there still some boards that ship with release bios non Kaveri APUs such as Richland, Trinity work and update fine with no bios update needed.

Other Thoughts: Great board for the price.

I only stress that if you pair this with a Kaveri APU A8-7600, A10 7800, A10-7850k, etc that you must update the bios AFTER OS install but BEFORE Newest Catalyst drivers are installed.
Failure to do this will result in blue screens caused by catalyst driver failing to load because it can't communicate with the APU properly.
As long as you update the bios this board works like a champ and is a great board to pair with any FM2/2+ chip.

2 out of 5 eggsBad BIOS

Pros: works fine with the bios it came with.

Cons: DO NOT UPGRADE THE BIOS

Other Thoughts: I upgraded the bios with the live update provided with the board. I immediately started getting BSODs. Now, I cannot get out of them. I have spun back the BIOS, I have tried to reformat and reinstall. Nothing works. I continue to get BSODs and the win 7 will not install.

Again WARNING do not upgrade the BIOS.

4 out of 5 eggsReview

Pros: I am happy with this MOBO and have had no issues 3 months to date. User setup was easy, BIOS came right on, it detected all my HW, and it has been working great so far. I did not notice any circuit or solder issues on the board. Seems decently made.

Cons: Price could be a bit cheaper since this is not the best board with the most features, but it fit exactly what I needed. I'm not an extreme user, just an average gamer.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat but Beware!

Pros: Great build quality. All things worked.

Cons: MSI needs to coordinate their glitzy, full color, ad with the folks in production because what they say in the ads at the beginning of the description is not what is shipped!
This is the second MSI MB that I have purchased and neither came with all of the features ballyhooed on the sales sheet.
They went on about O/C, but there was none on this board. there was a place for it, but no O/C genie button present.
Just beware all that glitters on the full color sales brochure does not make it into production!
They do have a small print, cover your rear, disclaimer that basically states that whatever is said in the description may not be what you get. This part is the truth!

Other Thoughts: MSI's build quality is superb; but it is pot luck and to what you really get when you open the box. I guess you could look at it as being like Christmas; you never know what's in the box!!

Tech support on both occasions defended this practice.

they make a good product. I just wish they were honest about the promotion of it and gave you what they said it had.

5 out of 5 eggsMSI Motherboard FM2+

Pros: MSI makes very nice components. This motherboard works flawlessly for me. Make sure to install the AMD Chipset Drivers on the disc as they are there for a reason. Nice Military Class Splash Screen. Good quality sound. Gigabit LAN. Impressive APU Graphics with an A8 APU installed.

Cons: No cons on this board. I have seen some people complain about the FM series of boards not posting video without a separate graphics card installed. Be sure to research what you buy as all FM series APU's/Processors do not have integrated graphics on the processor. Take the Athlon Series for the FM boards... The Athlon Series states it doesn't include integrated video on the processor. Those same people that complained about no video without installing a video card also stated that they were using an Athlon FM series Processor that didn't have integrated graphics on the processor. Do your homework first to avoid headaches during your build.

Other Thoughts: Product reviews can pass the time at work when your day is going by slowly.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great board for my budget game rig. Easily OC'd my A6-6400K to 4.9Ghz. Good build quality and layout.

Cons: Could not install Ubuntu 14.10 at this time due to incompatibility. This is not a problem with this board but a linux kernel issue with MSI and AMD so no complaints to the manufacturer here.

5 out of 5 eggsGood mATX Mobo

Pros: Well laid out mobo with all of the bells and whistles one can expect from a mATX board. Plenty of SATA ports (8), came with 2 SATA cables, USB 3.0 connector, mobo speakers!!! and decent VRM. The memory slots were well spaced from the CPU and should be able to accommodate a large CPU heatstink/fan.

Cons: Front panel connectors are in a really trick spot. The I/O plate feels kinda cheap, but that is to be expected.

Other Thoughts: Booted up without any issues with an A6-6400K, some G Skill RAM, and Crucial SSD for my HTPC.
