5 out of 5 eggsIf your gaming on a 5th gen Intel CPU then this is a great choice

Pros: Tons of BIOS options
BIOS has a mouse and keyboard interface that's nicely laid out and easy to navigate with lots of options
Very nice heat management

Cons: SATA ports are directly under the PCI slot best situated for the GPU which makes them very hard to access.
I wish it had more USB 2.0 slots

Other Thoughts: My cons weren't enough to cost this an egg, so even though they were listed as cons I'd more likely call them minor grumbles than true cons.

5 out of 5 eggsRock solid for over a year

Pros: I chose this board to build my first PC with, and I'm glad I did. There were no issues with installation into the case or installing parts onto the motherboard. It has all the ports and slots I could foresee needing, The BIOS is easy to navigate and use, too. Customizing things like boot order and fan curves was easy. Having two BIOS chips takes the fear of bricking the board due to a bad update, which really feels nice. The Z97 Gaming 7 has done everything I've wanted it to without any problems.

Cons: I can't think of any.

Other Thoughts: I think this is a great board and would recommend it.

5 out of 5 eggsOne Year and Counting

Pros: Went 11 months with basic settings with ram set at 1333Mhz and no overclock. For the last month have had my 4690K overclock from 3.5Ghz to 4.2Ghz and ram at 1600 with no issues. I use every single SATA port and have never had a failure. The computer is virtually always on.

Cons: Have not experienced any yet.

Other Thoughts: I often wonder if people have MOBO failures due to crummy PSU's. I run mine with an EVGA 750 G2 and have had no issues, with even several power outages.

1 out of 5 eggsLasted 3 months

Pros: Looks great
Lots of SATA and USB connections available
Easy to use BIOS when it worked.

Cons: BIOS A and B failed at random times and would not repair attempts failed as the BIOS update locked up at 30% progress. Motherboard was unusable after 3 months once the secondary BIOS failed.
Second board lasted exactly 3 months with the same failure.
1 month RMA process and had to pay for shipping under warranty. ($40 UPS)
I had to buy a license for Windows 10 Pro for $199 even after pleading with Microsoft over the phone. Since the board changed it was considered a different PC and the free upgrade was void.

Other Thoughts: I decided to just buy a different brand of motherboard since the same issue occurred with MSI boards (Z97 and Z97A) after 3 months each. I hope switching to Gigabyte brand will resolve the issues.

Manufacturer Response:

Cons: Roommate and I both built similar gaming computers using this mobo. We have both had to rma them, because of bios errors. I will not be giving this company any more of my money.

1 out of 5 eggsMSI ???

Pros: good features,and looks.

Cons: Purchased this MBA in Nov 14 ran great till June when it would randomly shut down, cup Temps 28-32 iddle-load, checked all connnections, changed PSU and the problem persisted then in July the board completely failed bios a has no debug codes but both bios led lights light up. Bios b has no codes most of the time but post b6 from time to time. I have now changed out all components and verified that it is a faulty mb.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Experience As First Ever Motherboard

Pros: Beautiful Looking Board
Well Though Out Design
No flaws
Overall Great Board

Cons: Built in "audio booster" is a gimmick

Other Thoughts: Great mobo, especially for the price. I really cannot say anything else about it, the other reviews really speak for board. If you are on the edge about getting this mobo, go for it. MSI did an excellent job.

3 out of 5 eggsAwesome till bios goes dead

Pros: Awesome board currently only working on bios b. As I write this I'm using hq to try and reflash bios a into working order.

Cons: So had a gaming 5 it bricked got a gaming 7 while I waited for RMA return RMA returned dead lol. So here I sit trying to recover bios a , used m flash updated to 1.9 ran for about 2 months on and off came back from going out all monitors dark. Just had got a new graphics card thought it died put in a working video from another of still nothing long story short changed to bios b had display awesome. Bios a just went dead so m flash b sweet working 1.9 as well at this time trying to recover bios a I hope the dos tools work and every turns out well if not I think I have had enough of the bios issues.

Other Thoughts: So at this time I would advise people to stay away from MSI motherboards with the current and past bios issues. I have other MSI products including a great gaming laptop no issues at this time over a year.
