2 out of 5 eggsDecent Board, terrible RMA

Pros: Smooth over clocking features
Good stats and performance (While it was running)
Plenty of bells and whistles with it

Cons: The board stopped work a the same day of instillation. Sent it into new egg for replacement and forgot the rear IO shield. I ship that too them, but two days after I send it they ship me the board back even after it's been approved for replacement. And now I have to contact MSI for support since New Egg says they will no longer handle the request.

Also the OC genie on it was unstable (may of been because the board was bad)
And the amount of intel/msi software with the board is a little over whelming. Although once you start learning it, it becomes pretty useful.

Other Thoughts: I know my review was more about new egg than the board, but I'd suggest buying this board from another source than New Egg.

4 out of 5 eggsMSI makes decent boards

Pros: Good layout and MIL spec is a +

Cons: Not sure if its my mobo or its software but my i5 devils canyon is running like 20-30% cpu usage and spiking to 50-60% randomly while just doing stuff on internet, my i5-ivy bridge and FX-6300 pc's never break like 5-10% while skyping and using the net etc etc. I am going to try format and install everything from scratch and not put all the extra msi software see if it helps...something is making my cpu work like crazy, don't think its the cpu though but you never know.

Other Thoughts: I have owned a few MSI boards with mixed results.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking perfectly

Pros: Easy to install, IO shield is nice, has the slots I need (no need for SLI)

Cons: While I absolutely got what I paid for I also wish the board had just one more PCI-E 3.0 slot. But powerhouse single GPUs seem to be where it is at anyway so I am just being greedy :)

3 out of 5 eggsConfusing

Pros: Not sure yet. Like a lot of others I went with the G3258 and 212EVO.

Cons: M-BIOS!!!!! DO NOT FLASH with the M-BIOS. It bricked mine and it will brick yours too! I plan on delidding after the replacement comes in and I see what is what for my own two eyes.

Other Thoughts: How come the first times I hear or see a warning for bios updating comes when it is too late? Looking to race this against my X4 750K and Biostar X88M.

4 out of 5 eggsReliable design

Pros: Reliably designed.. as a military hardware engineer I'd point out that military testing is where most the reliability comes from. However, designing and qualifying compliance to the standard is a good start. Obviously a $100 board isn't going through that testing to eliminate infantile failures.

BIOS updates are flowing in, but not dated as I'd expect. From 7/3 to 7/7 the 6/30 BIOS was not on the website.

For with Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and the new unlocked Pentium G3258 I have a perfectly stable 47% overclock.

Cons: Seems to have a timing issue with older SSD's. This cost me 5 days and 3 windows reinstalls to find. My OCZ Vertex2 did not detect, regardless of firmware, more than 40% of the time. UEFI then triggered a boot failure and set off windows repair loops. My newer Kingston V300 worked fine (I thought mine was broken but full erase had an issue in XP that was not present in Windows 8).

Other Thoughts: Overclock was a little confusing. The BIOS "OC Genie" color changes slightly, which then allows you to change settings via the Intel software tool within O/S.
