Other Thoughts: I was surprised how easily I was able to overclock the memory with this board, I've always had oc issues with msi so I gave up years ago trying
Thought I'd give msi a go again and am quite satisfied at the improvements msi has made
I will water cool the cpu and push the limits of this motherboard

Pros: Simple Install, Easy overclocking, inexpensive, no issues on Windows install.
Pair this up with an 860k CPU and aftermarket fan and you can OC to 4.2Ghz easily. Mine is running stable at this set up.
Scores high on passmark, get i7 performance on an i3 price.

Cons: 2 ram slots

Other Thoughts: You can make a plenty capable gaming machine for $500 or less with this as your base. Play any game at that price too.

Other Thoughts: Board was dead out of the box. It was a Christmas gift and by the time I found out it was dead, Newegg was out so I could not get a replacement. Returned this board and got a GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-D3H.

Pros: NONE

Cons: I received this MSI motherboard which was DOA. I returned it and asked for a replacement with the same model. This one was also DOA not post beeps or video. I was told I could not get a refund because I had gone over the 30 days on the first motherboard...I don't want a third one. After 100's of builds with 90% Newegg parts I won't be back...Their choice...

Cons: error 99 on first boot up and after endless reading of forums and trouble shooting ive come to the conclusion that I got a lemon

Pros: A78M Chipset is a solid one, and this one performs well!

MSI is a brand I stand behind as well. They are excellent.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I am using this to run a media streaming server. It works great and is really low cost. plenty of room for hard drives. pcie can be used for a sas expansion card. really if you are a home user with little to no need for data protection then this thing will work great for a server.

Pros: The boards awesome. It's got holes in it and you can put screws in the holes and attack it to the inside of a case. Did I mention that it's military class 4!!! Oh my diety? (Newegg terms and conditions.. lol) dude..... Oh......EM....Gee.....
It has a user manual that you can use to learn over 100 different languages. It's almost like you get a free copy of rosetta stone with the board. That's a nice perk.

Cons: I don't know what Military Class 4 means.....

Other Thoughts: Great performance for the price. Would militarize my computer system again and then recommend it to my friends. I don't have friends. But if I did, I would.

Pros: Good bang for the buck, sturdy support for VGA port. Lots of features for a value board

Cons: None that I've found for a board in the class.
