A full featured motherboard with plenty of power, the Asus M2N4-SLI is great motherboard for anyone needing to replace or upgrade their system. Equipped with an AMD socket AM2, suitable for Athlon 64 processors, including the X2 and FX series, the M2N4-SLI is more than capable of handling anything you may want to run.
Using the Nvidia nForce 4 SLI chipset, this remarkable card supports SLI Technology which gives you the ability to use 2 graphics cards together for even more graphics power. With all this going on, things could heat up rapidly, but ASUS has really studied the issue of heat and cooling across the motherboard and CPU. Passive heat sinks and a strategic board layout will help you keep cool in the hottest action.
It also includes a gigabit Ethernet port, 5.1 channel onboard sound, and 4 SATA ports. Those four ports let you add multiple hard drives to the system, managed by RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5, and JBOD. a very good budget board
- Pros: Seems like a rock solid board so far. Supports most of the stuff the more expensive boards do, such as DDR 800 and SLI. For a budget system, you get increbible performance, and the rock solid reliability you come to expect from ASUS.
- Cons: there are no cons to this board IMO
- Other Thoughts: If you don't have much money to spend, but you desperately want to go AM2, this is a board you really shouldnt pass up.
Rinky Dink BIOS
- Pros: None...this board is a dud.
- Cons: This board worked fine for about two months and then it developed a problem with spontaneous reboots. At first I thought it was a heat related problem or a problem with the power supply. It was neither. The problem with this board is that the BIOS causes the system to spontaneously reboot at random intervals.
- Other Thoughts: This board is junk. Don't buy it. And if ASUS tells you the problem is your power supply or your memory modules, don't believe them. They are either lying or they don't know about the problems with this board.

Ok board
- Pros: Very stable. I have had this board for a while and I have not noticed any problems with it.
- Cons: Cannot overclock very well, if your into that. The onbaord audio is useless and only 8x speed in SLI. But you get what you pay for
- Other Thoughts: I bought this board when I needed to upgrade and did not have alot of cash. This is still a good baord would buy again if I needed to.

- Cons: You can't overclock at all with this board. The option to change voltages isn't available
- Other Thoughts: Don't get this board if you want to overclock. If you need a stable motherboard that works like its supposed to then get it.
