4 out of 5 eggsNice features

Pros: Nice features and duel ide and sata connectors. Nice and solid.

Cons: First board was DOA and RMA back to newegg. Hate paying for shipping back to newegg on DOA product. Also need better documention on number 1 pin on secondary ide connector.

5 out of 5 eggsNice mobo

Pros: Onboard sound has been adequate, constantly listening to mp3s; Gigabit LAN; supports through Core 2 Duo; has SATA3.0; PCI-Express x16. Great mobo for what I needed and has ran well with no hiccups for a month and a half now.

Cons: Not really cons here, but consider faster DDR2 than 533 - and maybe more SATA ports if you intend to use SATA optical drives. Only using one for a HDD so I've been fine.

Other Thoughts: System running PD 940, 2GB DDR2, 500GB SATA3.0, dual dvd burners, video card, multi-card reader, and tv tuner. Supports all very well.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid & Easy

Pros: ASUS quality, came up easily the first time w/o any glitches. SATA/PATA and 8 USB 2.0 with gigabit ethernet, HD Sound and PCI-E x16

Cons: Manual doesn't explain all BIOS functions well - hard to decide what some of the options are really supposed to be doing.

Other Thoughts: Used this board with a Celeron D 347 3.06 GHz processor. 2 - 512 Mb of Kingston RAM and a ChainTech PCI-E Nvidia graphics card. Used a SATA drive as boot drive - had to partition as it was a 160 Gb drive and would only recognize 137 Gb. Bought all stuff from Newegg of course, all delivered within 4 days of ordering and had system put together in a couple hours (not counting loading OS and updating it - Windows XP Pro).
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the performance of this Mobo and even though I have only been running it for a few weeks, it has been rock solid - But I also don't overclock anything.
SATA is definitely the way to go these days - 3x the performance of a PATA 133 interface. This board is an outstanding value since it will be one of the least expensive parts of your system - processor and memory, and probably HD will cost more.

5 out of 5 eggsLike a rock

Pros: Great layout, user-friendly BIOS, very stable, nice glowing ASUS logo, goodies on the install disc. O/C Recover feature, customizable boot screen

Cons: could stand to have more memory slots. IDE2 is inconveniently placed.

Other Thoughts: This board is excellent for the money - ASUS delivers again. The board is rock solid and well designed. The capacitors near the CPU socket worried me a bit (from the picture), but they are very low profile and should not hinder most heatsink installations. The glowing logo is a neat addition.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat MB

Pros: great Mb for the money. the light up Asus symbol is nice looking, especially in a clear sided case.

Cons: SATA a pain when installing Vista-64 bit. refused to find the hard drive without some coaxing.

Other Thoughts: Overall, a great buy.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nicely organized board, no complaints here. Most drivers are auto-recognized by Vista. The light-up "ASUS" is a nice indicator of board status.

Cons: Putting the E6300 heatsink/fan on really flexed the mobo... made me a little nervous!

Other Thoughts: The BIOS interface is decent, and you can customize the BIOS boot logo and it will automatically recover from instability from overclocking (CrashFree). Not a bad board!

5 out of 5 eggsA+

Pros: Solid. Had many of this boards and all worked. Has drivers for WinXPpro 64bit, which sometimes isn't the case. Nice to have good quality board for 64bit systems.

Cons: DDR2 533 (266mhz) ONLY! Its not hardware issue so i give five stars to this board.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome value

Pros: Inexpensive, 2 IDE connectors and SATA support.

Cons: No firewire, only 533 MHz memory.

Other Thoughts: The only issue I had with this mobo is that it didn't play well with my old video card. I just bought a new card and it works wonderfully. I needed a new video card anyway.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: EXCELLENT MOTHERBOARD. Installation was a Breeze, Fan ports for Everything. Supports SATA 3gb/sec and External SATA as well as SATA Raid. Cool Splash screen upon bootup, Easy to work with bios. As expected from Asus

Cons: Already had to do 1 Bios update. Necessary for Vista Ultimate 64bit users

Other Thoughts: More mounting holes in the Mobo for extra support for manly users whom install PCI and PCI-E cards as if they were holding the whole thing together
