5 out of 5 eggsPretty darn good stuff...

Pros: Definitley a great starter kit btw, runs like h*ll. Bang for the buck? This is a case of free money.

Cons: Had to go for a bios update. Yawn...

Other Thoughts: They all turn out to be great bargains. If one wants a cheap, hi-speed, home/surfing machine;this is a great starter.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all...

Pros: Cheap n Dirty hi-powered little mobo. Have bought 20 of these little guys from newegg and they performed right out of the box. Good starter product. In over a year I've had no problems w/all 20 mobos.

Cons: No cons here

Other Thoughts: Thanx for keeping this mobo available.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst build with this motherboard

Pros: The PC I put together is my first build and I used this motherboard. I didn't wanna spend too much on my first build so this was the right price for me. It takes 4GB of memory despite what the manual it comes with says(manual says 2GB). I have an Intel E5200 inside of it. From my understanding, the board needs a BIOS revision of 0410 and that was the BIOS revision it had when I received it so no problems. The audio driver is pretty neat. You can change the way music sounds when your playing it as if your in a stone corridor, concert hall, auditorium, etc. This motherboard is a good board for first time builders. I managed to get a nice gaming PC out of it. It runs what I like to play such as Half Life 2, but I have an Asus EN9500GT TOP/DI/512M that I recently purchase that works smoothly. I have 4GB of RAM on the board, but my XP system can only use a little more than 3GB. So with that much RAM and the earlier mentioned ,well priced graphics card, I got a nice system.

Cons: There have been no problems with my new PC build with this board in it.

5 out of 5 eggsThe sound works fine with XP SP3

Pros: This board works great. Simple, rock solid reliability and it's cheap. A good chipset in a cheap board, from a good manufacturer.

Cons: It's a basic board, not a lot of frills.

Other Thoughts: I have installed several of these boards, both in new systems and as replacements. They have all worked great with no issues. I don't know what the previous reviewer is doing wrong, but I have had no problems with the sound drivers on the CD. Every system I have put this board in has had XP SP3 on it.

4 out of 5 eggsNo sound

Pros: Great board for the cost and what my daughter uses it for.

Cons: I have yet to get the sound to work with XP sp3. Nothing suggested online helps. May have to uninstall SP3. YUK

Other Thoughts: Wish Newegg would have made it clear that the HD Realtek sound chip on this board doesn't work with XPSP3 ver y well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far!

Pros: YMMV, but my board was amazingly robust. I had an epic battle trying to transfer the terrible Core 2 Duo standard clip-on heatsink from a dead MSI board to this one. Ultimately I gave up on the plastic snaps, cut them off, and attached the heatsink with screws and nuts. In the meanwhile, I handled this motherboard very roughly. Still, when I pressed the power button, it just started up without complaining and there has not been a single crash!

I haven't bothered installing my fancy graphics card, since the integrated video handles HD h246 movies at 1600x1200@85Hz without any strain.

Cons: The sound is noticeably muddier than the Realtek HD on my older mobo. Having only two memory slots is pretty limiting. Also, I wish the SPDIF sound bracket were included.

Other Thoughts: This motherboard has almost all the features I need (and almost none that I don't). It's not just for small PCs - it's got what it takes to be the heart of your primary machine. It's nice to know that once I build a new system, I can repurpose this one to live in a small form factor case in my entertainment center.

Also, it's worth saying that though I ordered this by UPS Ground in Syracuse NY, the board arrived at my door exactly 24 hours after I submitted the order. Amazing!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: This is one of the best cheep boards I've run across in quit awhile. I stuck an old 2.5 dual core on it an pumped it up to 3.1 with 2 gig of ram and it just screams. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Cons: nada

Other Thoughts: Perfect board for a cheep build.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Dual-Boot OSX / XP Rig!

Pros: -iPC [10.5.6] works nearly perfect using onboard Intel 950 VGA (Only needs an extra PCI Lan card for full functionality).
-XP (SP3) Also runs brilliant (best on separate Drives)

Cons: -Only 1 Case-Fan header
-Obsolete (yet still standard) Serial & Parallel ports.

Other Thoughts: Built 3 'H@ckintosh' machines with this so far -Simple install!
-Sata, USB, Audio, VGA all flawless
-Compact, clean layout

5 out of 5 eggsThis one works

Pros: Now we're getting somewhere. This mobo is great for an entry-level dual-core system. OC pretty good too.

Cons: Had to pay shipping twice (one for RMA and again to order replacement).

Other Thoughts: Newegg stands behind their products.

3 out of 5 eggsDOA?

Pros: Bought it and installed CPU. Mobo would POST but wouldn't boot - not from HD, CDROM, or floppy.

Cons: Newegg refunded $$$ instead of replacing.
