5 out of 5 eggsAlmost painless experience

Pros: Integrated quite decent video, lot of SATA ports. Works.

Cons: BIOS documentation is abysmal. But that is how it is for any board I have seen.

Other Thoughts: Runs a MythTV backend/desktop system using AMD X2 4850e, 2G Kingston, 3x1TB Seagate HDD, DVICO Fusion HDTV7 TV card, Samsung DVD writer.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: i am running a 9850 oc'd to 2.9-8gigs 800mhz ram-tv tuner card-3870 oc'd vid card (soon to be a 4870)
For what i am using it for, it has been great.
I have had to reset the BIOS a few dozen times ( due to trial and error with the oc'ing) without any problems.
i am going to push this board til i fry it.
then throw everything in a crossfire board.

Cons: no x-fire, but i knew that

Other Thoughts: my cpu is 125w it will run it ,
ALLWAYS upgrade the BIOS ASAP

4 out of 5 eggsWork Great.. in XP

Pros: Runs great in xp with normal processors.

Cons: Doesn't like vista (runs hot) or 125w processors.

Other Thoughts: I have an Athlon X2 6000+ 125W I tried it in two of these boards would restart repeatedly in vista after running good for 5 - 10 mins. In Xp it took like 15 - 20.
Northbridge was extremely hot to the touch in both.

2 out of 5 eggsSlow Boot up time

Pros: Everything I wanted and not DOA like some other peoples.

Cons: When I press the power button I expect at most maybe a 5 sec wait time in the bios before i get my Windows screen. This takes 30 seconds to boot to Windows splash screen regardless of settings.

Other Thoughts: Normally love buying things online but I think I will start checking the local stores first.

5 out of 5 eggsWhy such low ratings?

Pros: A solid mATX board with great features. Can be used for just about anything, Workstation, MCE, WHS, etc. Loves running x64 windows with 8gb of ram.

Cons: Any con I could think of is really expecting something that isn't realistic for a sub $100 board.

Other Thoughts: I just got 3 more of these. I bought the first one just to try out. I've been running WS 2008 x64 on it 24/7 with zero issues.
5000+BE @ 3.0ghz, 8GB of G.Skill 1066 (8500CL5D-4GBPK), two Seagate sata drives, sata dvd, Plextor Premium ATA CD, Coolmaster 670 case.
I run SQL 2005 on it. I rip cd's with EAC/Lame on it. I'm using a logitech blue tooth Keyboard and Mouse. I'm mixing multiple sata and ATA drives. I'm filling all 4 Dimms with 2gb sticks of memory. I've got several boards setting around the room right now that cost close to $300 and they can't do at least one of these things.
I haven't used the HDMI out so I can't really comment on that or really stressing the onboard video.
I have a second board setup as a more serious 2U server with a 3ware sata controler (4x pci-e) in the 16x slot running a raid 5 array, with a 6000+ and the usual 8 gigs of G.Skill, also working flawless.
Upcoming experients include a system with a 4870 and a HTPC system with a blu-ray player.

3 out of 5 eggsNice Price annoying noise

Pros: Cheap, and takes the new chips, hdmi, good onboard video.

Cons: Capacitor noise! Dang high pitched sound that drives me slowly mad and gives me migraines. The kind of sound that you don't notice till your head is pounding and your mood turns evil. That high pitched almost above the range of human hearing.

Other Thoughts: Might just be mine but the sound does drive me crazy. I may be trying another board soon and ebaying this puppy. I spent several hours trying to find the exact origin of the sound- I know it's the MB without a doubt.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The price is right. The features are good.

Cons: The bios is kind of blah. The computer locked up when a key was held down too long when I first got it. I updated the bios, and that stopped happening. I guess it was a known issue.

Other Thoughts: I haven't used the HDMI output on this board, so I can't really rate that. It works fine for my mom to surf the net and write documents though. I haven't heard any complaints, and the computer seems stable when I use it.

1 out of 5 eggswon't be a third time

Pros: Every thing they advertised would have been great! for the short time the second one lived I loved it!!!! I OC'ed the hell out of it and enjoyed every minute of it... with Vista, DX 10.1 was attainable... and Mass effect looked like real life... almost...

Cons: Can't keep one alive... The first one died almost instantly... (2 hours or so) but, this one waited till I was settled in to die off... I have noticed a trend as well... My 80x86 and my first acer 80x286 still run after 18 years... we as a geek are getting lax. We demand progress, and, free access to information & a good means to get it... what we need to demand is free (or a reasonablably priced) access to quality... by the time I'm usually done I spend more on RMA shipping then I did on the *deal* I got

Other Thoughts: To whomever said you have a high technical understanding and then said you couldn't change the multiplier, is phibbing about something. This board is great for OC'ing if you can keep it alive. It has the option of changing the multiplier from "like" 8 to 16. I can't look it up cause it is fried. And I don't normally comment on others comments, but, that was just not intelligent I changed mine 10 times before it became unstable... how was that for PC? :)
