4 out of 5 eggsGood but not great

Pros: You can overclock on a budget.

Cons: It can overclock, but doesn't allow you to adjust the vcore. BEWARE! Was only able to get a stable OC with stock cooling at 2.268 GHz for my C2D e6300 (1.86 GHz stock). Said processor has been repeatedly OCed with stable performance at 2.5+ GHz. I guess I really have no reason to complain for the price it's at...right?

Putting the computer to sleep makes my computer hang. i have to repress the sleep button to make it REALLY sleep. really weird and annoying.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well to get to the point i only bought this because it is one of the few micro atx i found with win 2003 server drivers so it works with whs like a charm basic asus layout, has two fan headers plus cpu so that is a plus, all in all a good basic motherboard.

Cons: One con for the 1 egg off is the placement of 4 pin cpu power connector i put this a p180 mini and the nice 200mm fan on top makes getting it in a tad tricky but it will fit.

Pros: The bois is nice for overclocking your cpu. It's a good budget board for a first time builder. Has a nice FSB speed.

Cons: There's no way to turn on ECC for RAM. Customer support is mediocre.

Pros: NONE

Cons: Board = DOA

Other Thoughts: Will RMA. Maybe this just a fluke. Always had good luck with Asus over the years.

3 out of 5 eggsJunk much?

Pros: It seems to have everything needed in a junk computer.

Cons: HD a deck and their on board surround is just utter failure. their HD a deck does not work with usb headphones not even using the setting for it. The sound at times just cuts in and out randomly no reason at all...

Other Thoughts: I guess I am just bummed about the sound card really the on board GPU is good enough i would compare it to a 6600 the overclocking features are simple for even the most novice user. The 10/1000 on board NIC is great for the cheap price of the board.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat motherboard for the price

Pros: everything. this mobo has everything you could possibly want. its rock solid and stable. even running with no drivers it was stable as anything. buy this board, you will not regret it. its a good gaming board actually. it can overclock as well

Cons: none yet.

Other Thoughts: READ THE MANUAL!!! i had a little issue with power up until i looked back in the manual thinking maybe i missed something and indeed the power SW and everything were plugged in wrong; just take your time is all.

2 out of 5 eggsFirst bad Asus board.

Pros: Everything else worked.

Cons: Ethernet doesn't work at all.

Other Thoughts: Atheros has Windows 7 drivers available at their site. LAN is enabled in the BIOS. Can get through the installation software by using the Vista compatibility feature as some people can't seem to figure out, but the hardware cannot be found at all. Device manager doesn't even spot the "unrecognized hardware". It's flat out kaput. Too much of a pain to take the board out and RMA it, so I'm using a wireless ethernet adapter.

I've been purchasing Asus boards exclusively for close to 15 years and have never had a problem. I hope it's a fluke and I have another 15 years of success with them.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We are very sorry for this inconvenience. If you would like to send this board in for an RMA, please contact us at http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx and reference case number NE562808 so that we can assist you with the RMA process.

Best Regards,

ASUS Support Team
