Broken Board
- Pros: None that I have experienced so far.
- Cons: Board was shipped broken. ASUS tech support is MIA. The board fails to send a video signal regardless of any problem solving efforts. (3 new EVGA cards cannot all be bad.) Board was shipped with exposed packaging.
- Other Thoughts: This board is simply worthless. DO NOT BUY IT! In fact given how poorly ASUS products have become, I recommend you do NOT buy any ASUS products at all. If you send them a broken board they will send you a used broken board in return. The cycle will never end. Eventually they will just ship you a board without a serial number and then refuse to accept it when you RMA it. ASUS tech support is a 100% fail.

- Pros: fast and everything i need plus more
- Cons: doesnt like when there is an odd number of ram sticks, so now i got one lonely 1gb ddr2 stick.
Great board when it works....
- Pros: Beautiful design, 3 way sli, everything I needed as far as bios options go, doubles as a weapon due to the copper, positively excellent paper weight.
- Cons: Positively excellent paper weight. Copper thieves. This board gave me problems from day one. First problem was the bios would not accept any changes I made within it, on reboot all changes would go back to default. I got around that problem and was relatively fine for a bit. But that changed. After a while my system would stop resuming from sleep mode, the video would not initialize during post nine times out of ten, and now it is dead. It powers on, fans receive power and I think it even boots, but there is no video output. All 3 PCIx slots seem to have stopped working and the sli chip on the board generates no heat whatsoever. I have tested all 3 slots with a gtx260, a 9800gt, and an x1300pro. Nothing. Tested with 8 seperate sticks of ddr2 ranging from 667 to 1066 in every slot. Nothing. Tested with an e8400, a PD 2.8, and a p4 3.4. Nothing. I applied for an RMA of this board and it has been 57 hours without a response yet.
- Other Thoughts: I am a fan of asus, and especially newegg. If asus gets on the ball with this RMA, (they say after 48hrs without a response, the RMA gets priority) it won't leave such a bad taste in my mouth. When this board works it is as mighty as they come. Going backwards to a technologically inferior board is driving me crazy.... please don't fail me Asus...
