Very Unstable
- Pros: Has a lot of great options available with it.
- Cons: Extremely unstable. See Other Thoughts:
- Other Thoughts: BIOS updates don't fix a majority of the memory issues, system is still extremely unstable and RMA service by Asus is a headache and a half. If you value not having your time wasted, do NOT purchase this motherboard.

16X Video Dream!
- Pros: I went from an ASUS Maximums Formula Limited to this board because I have 2 16X cards. I could not justify the purchase of a quad core system as there are virtually no programs that use it that I am interested in. For once the hardware is ahead of the software. To my amazement I dropped the board in and for a laugh I wanted to see what would happen if I tried to boot to Vista 64 Ultimate with the prior boards drivers. It recognized my raid 0 drives and booted! I did have to drop in the motherboard install disk and have had no problems for over a week.
- Cons: It is a socket 775 board that requires DDR3 ram.
Disappointing performance
- Pros: Enough slots for what I need, decent slot arrangement and works at stock settings.
- Cons: Memory stability. Everything that any other review has posted about how picky this board is with different memory sticks and how each BIOS revision fails to fix the issue is 100% correct.
If you're not using RAM with Samsung based modules on them, then don't expect stability even with the latest BIOS F/W. Took me awhile to figure this one out, and very disappointed that it's an issue that has yet to be fixed.
Have yet to get anything with serious stability, and I'll be getting some other board as I'm done with putting up with this one. I advise others to do the same.
