Didn't work at all
- Pros: The motherboard was dead on arrival...
- Cons: see above
- Other Thoughts: I was trying to replace an older Intel motherboard to get higher FSB support for a Core2 Duo processor. Neglecting the fact that it didn't work out of the box, the Asus didn't seem anywhere near as solid or robust physically as the Intel MB.
Good
- Pros: This is a great motherboard.
- Cons: It goes throught the post twice.
ASUS P5Q SE PLUS
- Pros: Everything is just fine. Got exactly what I desired. No problems at all. More connectors than other motherboards. The express gate is good. I read many reviews prior to purchase, ASUS won for INTEL while GIGABYTE won for AMD.
- Cons: External VGA PCI Card, already had one.
- Other Thoughts: Q8400, 8GB CRUCIAL RAM, 320GB HDD, DVD-RW X 2, WINDOWS 7 PRO 64-BIT, MODEM, TV TUNER, FANS, ANTEC 650W POWER SUPPLY
