5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Worked flawlessly out of the package, I couldn't be happier. Lots of USB ports; love the board layout. Will continue to stick with ASUS in the future as I have for the past 3 years.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Newegg as always is phenomenal. If you're looking for a mid-budget board that can overclock easily for socket 1366 look no further.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat performance for the price.

Pros: It turned on and posted the first time i pushed the power which is something my ABIT (RIP) and MSI boards have never done.

Great motherboard for those who do not intend to do a 3 way SLI. If you want a lot of SATA ports, this is your motherhood (There are 8 SATA connectors)

Cons: The board has 3 way SLI but can only run 16x16x4 making a 3 way SLI/Crossfire setup pointless (I am not a gamer so this doesn't matter to me).

Other Thoughts: Always been a fan of ASUS boards because I have never had one fail on me. Even had one that got struck by lightning. Lost a memory channel, on board audio, on board NIC but the motherboard lasted 6 years.

If you want a reliable motherboard , buy an ASUS.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Lot of features and overall solid build quality

Cons: If you have any issues, don't expect Asus tech support to be able to help you. They told me to "check if there is any specifically demands for hardware collection." The system has been very unstable for quite some time and will not run properly with all 12gb of RAM installed. I currently have 6gb sitting on my desk, but my desk is a lot faster now ;P I verified that this RAM would work before purchasing this motherboard and I was told by both Patriot and Asus it would work. Asus used to be the most stable manufacturer out there, but now I'm starting to doubt them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, reliable mobo

Pros: Everything is in good position around the board, the board physically looks pretty, the on/off switch on the board is great.

Cons: I've owned this for well over a year and I don't have any problems with it at all. Asus has never let me down when I buy their performance gaming mobos. Last one was a A8N-32 Deluxe and it's still performing, even after the rig was soaked with a fireman's hose.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure about nowadays, but its a sweet ride for it's price.

4 out of 5 eggsSLI heat, memory problem

Pros: No problems directly attributable to the mobo. Great packaging, instructions. 1 bubble taken off for too-close PCI-e slots.

Cons: I got this as part of a Newegg all-items package with three 2GB OCZ3G1600LV6GK DDR3 and two MSI N250GTS TwinFrozr GTS250 1GB SLI video cards. My job kept me from building for 35 days; don't ever order if you can't build ASAP, as Newegg's exchange policy stops at 30 days. Build went flawlessly; I've built many. Windows 7 recognized only 4GB. Web said memory compatability problems with this mobo, but it was definitely the memory; a new pack from factory (Taiwan) solved problem. One video card = fine. Two made video break up due to overheating in 5 min. Was not surprised; the two PCI-e slots are so close the two cards practically touch. But turned out to be a dead fan on one card. Another factory replacement. Worked for an hour, then video broke up again; heat. It's the PCI-e slots being too close. My Cooler Master Storm Scout case allows optional fan on clear side directly over the video cards; I'll try that. But be prepared, or get two thinner video cards - or water cool.

Other Thoughts: SLI configuration was dead easy with the latest driver from NVidia. Now, if only Blizzard will add SLI support for World of Warcraft..... and I have to buy that fan.

I can feel the heat coming out of the box; this is my first SLI, so I guess I should have expected that. Case fans are fine - they're blowing the heat out of the box - it's just more heat than I'm used to.

1 out of 5 eggsBe careful

Pros: It works sometimes, constant windows crashes. Not worth the money.

Cons: Be very careful when buying this MOBO if you are going to install a 64 bit system be prepared for a very unstalble board. After having tried about everything and waiting for a BIOS upgrade from Asus I have been extremely disappointed they have not fixed a very well known problem.

Other Thoughts: antec 1200 case, Antec 1000 watt power supply dual ATI 4870's 12 gigs DDR3 1066 triple channel ram Intel i7 2.67GHz 920 CPU windows 7 64 bit OCZ 30 gig solid state drive and dual velociraptor HDD's

2 out of 5 eggsBuy Asus MOB but with caution

Pros: Durable, reliable, very strong, OC easy, good BIOS. Can be handled roughly.

Cons: Asus MOB was the best in the market till yesterday. But for some reason they have been slided down to 2nd spot. I bought this MOB last week and the onboard audio failed to initialize. I contacted Asus customer service. They were superb. Troubleshoot took five minutes and gave me a case number to get a new MOB or a refund. No complaint. But the hazzle is to dismantle the pc that I built couple of days back and then again rebuilt it.

Other Thoughts: I still recommend ASUS MOB because I have used ASUS MOB in all the pc that I have built. Defective 1 out of 100 is acceptable.

2 out of 5 eggsP6T - Questionable Value at Best

Pros: Somewhat decent value (Other boards with many more features cost marginally more. ) Received a gold award from HardOCP. Good features, tons of spare sata connections for a Vista gaming and file server.

Cons: Board does not run stable in Win 7 X64 with a samsung SSD. I came to this conclusion after checking the voltages the psu was putting out, trying two other SSDs (A corsair and a smaller 64GB samsung.) and even after a motherboard RMA. The machine seems to run stable only if I do not put too much load at a time on the HDD controllers.

The sound coming from the board also seems to produce lots of noise depending on which state of work the processor is in, making the audio only suitable for social communications and gaming, nothing you'd want to put your high end theater rig or recording studio through.

Other Thoughts: I'm giving this board a 2 instead of a 1 since it at least runs in Win Vista 64 and Win 7 32 just fine. (defeats the purpose of having 6 slots of ram...)

I have no problems with this board running Windows Vista X64, I had a raid 5 array with 6 samsung SSDs each at 128GB a pop and it ran flawlessly. I'd suggest Asus to figure out what's wrong with their hardware, the last time I gave them a chance to waste my time was with the failure they put out for early adopters, the A7N8X v1.4.

Loadout for consideration:
12GB of 1333mhz corsair running at 1066mhz (1.56v seems to make it more stable despite perfect stability in Win Vista and Hackintosh OS.)
750watt Thermaltake PSU
Dual GTX260 (recently upgraded to a single GTX460)
I7-920 (Not overclocked.) w/ stock cooler.
Antec Skeleton

1 out of 5 eggsMobo gives me malaise

Pros: It worked for 3 months. It shipped fast and just on time.

Cons: After a blue screen it won't boot anymore and it won't beep unless the 3 memory modules are removed so at least the Motherboard recognize the memory but it won't recognize the CPU and if the CPU is removed it it won't beep any error codes according to ASUS representative. I reset the BIOS by jumpers, removed battery and CPU for 2 hours, Tested the PSU with a tester and a voltmeter, Tested different Video cards and of course the memory. People stay out of this motherboard.

Other Thoughts: The reason why I contacted Asus directly was because newegg have a 30 day warranty and it expired. I didn't thought the product was to be sent to newegg so I didn't include the other Items because ASUS RMA instructions said to include ONLY the motherboard. I need help! I buy things to last.

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT mobo

Pros: Two PCIE 2.0 slots running at x16, perfect for high-end SLI. TurboV is pretty nice for OC'ing.

Cons: Cold boot issue. Sometimes when it's been off for a while, it'll turn on and fail overclocking or have a fan error. Simply rebooting fixes this.
