Asus has long had a notable reputation within the overclocking community and their P6T Deluxe motherboard continues the trend. Based on Intel's X58 Express and ICH10R chipsets, this ATX board is ready to host the newest LGA1366 Core i7 processors for ultimate powerful performance.
Up to 24GB of DDR3 1333 RAM can be installed with triple channel mode for increased performance. Get even more performance – up to 2000Mhz – through overclocking. Three (count 'em: three!) PCI-Express 2.0 x16 cards can be mounted for cutting-edge graphic power with support for either NVIDIA SLI or ATI CrossFireX. 100% all high-quality conductive polymer capacitors give longer life and higher energy efficiency by supplying power to vital components independently.
Get eight channels of HD sound from the ADI AD2000B audio chipset for pure, clear audio. Connect up to six SATA drives at 3Gb/s for high-speed data transfers as well as the option for multiple RAID configurations. Integrated dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN allows bottleneck-free connections to other network devices at broadband speeds and eight USB 2.0 ports allows for nearly unlimited possibilities in connecting peripheral devices.

ASUS ACPI
- Pros: To those of you worried about the shutdown problem. It's not a problem with the board, it's a problem with the software ASUS budles on the driver disc. If you can avoid it, *do not install ASUS ACPI* However, if it's already on, do a little research as to how to get rid of it, I did and now my computer works beautifully. You'll see the program in task manager -- it causes the computer to hang on shutdown when using Vista. Hope this helps.
- Cons: Well, I wish ASUS would stop putting that ACPI on thier driver disc. If you can, DO NOT USE THE DRIVER DISC, go to their website and download the chipset driver manually.
- Other Thoughts: Cheers
Don't be fooled
- Pros: It is the same as the fantastic P6T Deluxe V1 by Asus minus one small detail.
- Cons: The V2 is 10 dollars cheaper than the V1 as it lacks the SAS controller.
Spring is here and Asus continues to use a Fall color scheme.
- Other Thoughts: Went out and purchased from my trusty computer store down the street.
Analyzed it and determined very little difference between this and the V1 apart from the SAS Controller.
If you don't ever plan on buying 15,000 RPM SAS drives and want to shave some money, then this board is for you.
Apart from that, it seems to be that the manufacturers in these troubled economic times are starting to shave away at the "luxury" that most X58 boards have and starting to give the bare essentials at a lower price point.

Best board I've ever used
- Pros: Very sturdy board. As soon as you pick it up you can feel it's a heavier, better built board than the others. Linux pre boot screen is nice. The i/o panel is padded instead of the normal 'tabs' and its a far better design imo. I've used gigabyte, asrock, and now asus and I will be buying asus from now on. Packaging was top notch as well
- Cons: Two of the sata ports are in a weird location, not a problem in my setup, but could be a pain for someone else. Not sure but the bag the board comes in doesn't appear to be an anti-static bag, but maybe it's just a different type.
Good MoBo
- Pros: Great price with combo deal. 2 PCIe leave plenty of room for 2 double sized cards. Third slot useless if you have 2 double sized cards.
- Cons: Had to RMA it twice, but NewEgg rocks, and when I got one that worked, it was worth the wait. Video card on bottom really close to power supply, psu is on the bottom of my case.
- Other Thoughts: I would buy this again or recommend to a friend.
Perfect!
- Pros: Installed no problems, runs perfect so far not one glitch.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: 6gb Corsair Dominator memory, i7-920, EVGA 275GTX - a solid combination!
