- Pros: Dunno.. board was D.O.A. Packaging was pretty and had some nifty header standoffs making install (and subsequent removal) easy.
Came with a cool sticker.
- Cons: Board has great features, sounds wonderful. One problem. It was deader than a doornail on arrival. After talking with ASUS Tech support for almost an hour (they were very nice) it was determined either the board or the processor was dead. (no beeps on post, no video, nuttin) Since the AMD 965 Black was also brand new (same order) I returned the ASUS board. Newegg was awesome on the RMA part. I like ASUS, however do some research on this board before buying one. There are posts all over the internet about issues, and even reviews here about this board arriving DOA. (I neglected to read that far!!!)
After returning this board I bought a ASUS M4A77TD Pro, it dont have HDMI but it worked flawlessly out of the box.
- Other Thoughts: I like ASUS... just because they let a board slip through with issues dont mean the rest are bad. I will still go with ASUS first in the future.
Very Nice.
- Pros: I am not a super knowledgeable computer person, and this was used in my first build. Ive read alot of reviews about things not working and bad boards and incompatible parts. MAybe I just got lucky, but I slapped this board in with a 3.4 amd black edition quad core and 4 gigs of OCZ Black Edition memory and everything just worked. DEfinatly would recommend it for someone who is unsure of what they are doing a bit. Detailed manual.
- Cons: None that I know
- Other Thoughts: I can't vouch for the oc ability of the board or really anything technical about it. It worked out of the box and that is good enough for me.
Good Motherboard
- Pros: I love the BIOS on this, it has a dedicated tab to Overclocking and tweaking, hah. But you can also install the software and tweak it while in the OS, which is neat. I love the setup of the board and it keeps all my things smooth and cool. This is definately the board you want to get for Overclocking, and with two PCI Express 2.0 slot's Crossfiring was a necessity. Also it looks pretty no puke yellow colors like some of those ghetto GIGABYTE boards.
- Cons: None really, ove it.
- Other Thoughts: My Proud Newegg System (THE BEAST)
