Do standard 1366 heatsinks fit on this board or do i need specialty server heatsinks?

yes standard mounts will fit but getting any heatsinks narrow enough to fit these procs being so close is a chore. I used Silverstone Argon AR02 which will work and cool my 6c xeons running 100% very well (52c). You have to use one of the silicone mounts for top corner of one fan and other fan for bottom corner in the space between them as there is no room for both fans to use both mounts. Hard to explain, will be obvious when you see them. It is secure and functional though. The height is perfect in a 4u case.

To use the extra SATA ports by the RAM slots, does the motherboard require a PIKE card? If so, which models are supported?

Yes. Asus site recommends the 1064E, 1068E, 1078 and 6480

What kind of computer case will it fit? will an ATX mid case work?

I doubt it. It has an odd-ball EEB form factor, the dimensions are 12 x 13

What kind of memory kits is everyone using? Do i need special kits or will any DDR3 1333 work? Thank you all

I'm using Dell fully-buffered 8gb sticks, DDR3-1333. I understand that it will accept un-buffered but the buffered is a better deal and will allow you to run up to 96gb
