5 out of 5 eggsFabolous board!

Pros: I have owned this board for years(around 4), and this thing keeps on chugging along! I have it currently updated to bios 0701 which is the latest and it just rocks! No Failure yet!

Cons: Pretty much outdated for new gen games like BF4 and others. that's it though!

Other Thoughts: Love the board, for me it has been rock solid for 4 years and I love playing FSX and BF3 on it!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: LGA775, Supported still by ASUS.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: This board is great! I actually got this on an old custom build and for 3 years now it has not given me any trouble even with some overclocking here and there. So for a ASUS board that's now outdated I would still rate it high for the many years of service it has given me.

4 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: -higher end board from it's day
-Very easy, painless setup
-Will handle Battlefield 3 and MOH Warfighter very well

Cons: -a bit outdated for playing any future generation games
-DDR2 memory
-LGA775 is played out

Other Thoughts: Overall a great board. I had it up and running in less than 2 hours. thats out of the box to running Win7 Ult x64. It maintains great tempuratures even when pushing its capabilities to the upper 90s.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: It's a great motherboard!
I'm using this motherboard for 3 years in a row and i had no problems with it at all!, it has lots of usb ports too which is good. has a nice design, basically it's a strong motherboard.

Cons: Well for 2012 he's getting old.... but he's great for LGA 775 processors, i use a Core 2 Quad on it.

Other Thoughts: If you're searching for LGA 775 motherboard i recommend this one.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Fast, reliable, stable, flexible.

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: Bought from Newegg on 6-11-03 (eight years ago). Runs fast and stable from day one. Outstanding quality. Never an issue. Using with G.Skill DDR2 1066 and Intel Q9550. Software overclock by Asus works like a charm. Did one BIOS update with no trouble. Asus has a customer for life.

1 out of 5 eggsASUS: the new king of incompetence

Pros: Started out fine, and gradually became intermittent.

Cons: Started doing funny things, hanging on bootup, etc. after a few months. Eventually died COMPLETELY last month. NOW, here's where things get ugly. RMA'd the mobo to Asus, got the SAME one back--UNTOUCHED! Meanwhile, Asus website showed status as 'repairing' eventho the mobo was already back with me. Called Asus around 20 times over a period of the next few weeks, and got a different story from a different tech each time, ranging from, "you're getting a NEW board", to "yes, the tech is still working on it", to "can't help you right now, our software is down" (got this one about 4 times). Also experienced long wait times, transfers to supervisors that magically disconnected, promises of email feedback that never came. It has been over a month now, and nobody at Asus knows where my mobo really is or what they're going to do for me... but that won't stop them from making up a new story everytime I call to check on the status. They give whole new meaning to the word UNBELIEVABLE!

Other Thoughts: My guess is that my mobo was incorrectly put in the pile "fixed" and shipped back to me without ever getting to the repair bench. Asus also never recorded the event as it still shows "repairing". Whatever happens, I'm NOT paying to ship it back to them again, because in reading other reviews, this is a WIDESPREAD problem at Asus right now. It is very clear this company is going to be out-of-business at this rate, and if you buy from them PRAY you never get a problem. On 2nd thought, avoid the prayers and don't buy from them in the first place, because essentially you are getting a "warranty" that Asus simply lacks the capacity to honor.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about the issues. Please contact us at Newegg_ASUS_MBSupport@asus.com stating all parts and BIOS version used together with RMA case numbers, and we will look into this for you.

Regards
ASUS Customer Support

1 out of 5 eggsDissappointing

Pros: When it worked it was solid, allowed for good over clocking.

Cons: I started having trouble with my set up 2 or 3 months after buying, so outside of newegg's 30 day. However, after taking a while to diagnose I finally figured out its the motherboard. When I RMA'ed they said nothing was wrong with it and sent it back to me, but it won't post or give me any beep errors even with nothing in it. I asked for an actual replacement but they have yet to respond.

Other Thoughts: Good product while it works.

AWFUL customer service, won't work with you at all.

3 out of 5 eggsDied In a Day

Pros: Had all the connections I needed at the right price.

Cons: This board died after a day. I swapped the mobo into my computer and it booted fine for the first few hours. As the day progressed I started getting boot errors asking me to insert boot media. Now it just hangs at the Asus screen.

Other Thoughts: I didn't drop the rating to 1 egg yet. I well revisit this review after the RMA process is complete.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Board

Pros: One of the best ATX DDR2 LGA775 boards I could find. Easy to overclock, tons of special features, and integrated RAID makes me jump for joy.

Cons: Few so far. I am worried with regard to all the reviews about it failing after a few months...
However, I've kept it running for about half a year and its still at optimum performance. No complaints.

Other Thoughts: A board that offers the best on the dieing technologies of DDR2 and LGA 775. Since I'm only 17, and can't afford to build a beast with the new standards, this worked out nicely.
