Great, easy to use board!
- Pros: Really easy to use board, I have no need to change most BIOS settings so I can't say much about that, but I know that the BIOS is basic, simple, and easy to use, and the few settings I've had to change were a simple breeze to get to. I'm really satisfied with this MOBO, it's setup isn't totally absurd like some motherboards out there, and it's almost a plug-and-play device it's so simple to set up.
- Cons: None that I can think of.
- Other Thoughts: Thanks ASUS for this well-designed MOBO, you should change some of your other poorly-designed motherboards to be like this!
good value
- Pros: works, nice, easy install
- Cons: case and pwr fans are not variable speed control. i google webpage that tells how to make fans run slower using lower power wiring from pus, so i'll try that, otherwise fans on high all time and they get noisy
- Other Thoughts: I can't believe new egg uses styrofoam packing peanuts! come on get green, use kraft paper! the peanuts make a mess everywhere!
I like it
- Pros: Does everything as described. I like the Overclocking Profile feature that I tell it to overclock at 5%, 10%, etc., so I don't have to search the interwebs for info on how to overclock.
- Cons: My old Pentium4 processor lying around didn't work. Apparently this MOBO was meant for dual core P4s.
- Other Thoughts: If your new computer won't post, no beeps, but the HDD and fans work, just remember that the ASUS P5QL/EPU only works with 5300U RAM or better, so the 4200U you tried to put in there is what's causing the problem.
Just read the specs carefully before buying. Now I know.
