Great board!
- Pros: Asus board, which is more then enough said on the quality of the board. layout was simple, and installation was the simplest out of the three motherboard brands I've tried (Asus , Gigabyte, Foxconn). Onboard HDMI, 2 PCI slots, didn't have to plug in anything separate, was able to just throw all my components onto the board, and it booted up to windows without even having to fresh install :D
- Cons: Biggest problem I'm having right now is that I can't get the onboard video to work while I have a graphics card plugged in (Asus eah 4870 dark knight). I would like to have 2 monitors plugged into the video card and my tv plugged into the HDMI. I have a good feeling that this is user error however. Anyone's ideas would be nice though.
Beyond that it just seems to be a little slow to boot into windows (windows boots slow as well but my registry is probably a mess since I didn't fresh install)
- Other Thoughts: When will Asus cease to amaze me? Havn't had a single problem with anything Asus I've ever bought, amazing products!
Wonderful Mobo for the price
- Pros: Instructions are easy to follow. Easy to install. And the tools on the CD are excellent.
- Cons: Only problem I had was it grounds out when placed directly on the side of the case without risers. So had to buy a different case. I have never seen that happen but what ever. Still a great buy.
Wonderful motherboard
- Pros: This is a great motherboard. I have never over-clocked a processor before, and with this motherboard, it was EASY. Unlocked the two extra cores on my amd no problem at all. Everything works perfect.
- Cons: Express gate. Wonderful concept, but asus needs to add support for wireless cards. So unless you plug in an ethernet cable, express gate is pretty much useless.
- Other Thoughts: Other than express gate, this board seems to like everything you put into it.
