5 out of 5 eggsDid its job

Pros: Bought this mobo in 2010. Used it until last year then I finally took the old computer apart and added it to my spare parts collection. I never had any issues since I owned it. Just outdated now which is natural.

Cons: Not black.

4 out of 5 eggsBoard die after little more than a year.

Pros: ASUS has some great tech-support supervisors if you can reach them. Good performance with an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T. I got this board as an ASUS RMA replacement for an ASUS M4A785-M.

Cons: It died after a little more than a year. See above remarks.

The first & last time I had to RMA a M4785-M board with ASUS it was a hassle as they shipped me a M4785-M replacement that was not only DOA, but, the components were clearly re-soldered to the board and some of the components were rusted.

My mainboard is still under warranty, but, I may or may not RMA this board. For now I've decided to go with a different brand.

Other Thoughts: ASUS does have some excellent staff if you can reach them. The supervisor that I eventually reached cleared everything up and personally tested the M4A785TD-V EVO that was finally sent to me.

It was great while it lasted.

I like ASUS, but, I'm now hesitant to recommend their mainboards.

5 out of 5 eggsCrossFire X and Hybrid Crossfire

Pros: I got this mobo refurbished, came with the latest bios, but I want to clear one thing : this mobo is capable of the Hybrid Crossfire, pairing the integrated GPU with a Radeon HD 3450 or HD 3470, and the regular Crossfire X, I have 2 Radeon HD 4650 on this mobo running in Crossfire. Basically after the driver install, a message pops up inviting you to enable Crossfire. And given the thing that it will still have the 1x PCIE port, I want to get another 4650, low profile and cram it in there (with a 1x to 16x slot adapter) in order to run a tri crossfire setup. Already in the crossfire setup that I have I am playing NFSHP2010 at 1280x800 and framerate is in between 35-40 giving a fluid framerate experience.

Cons: none so far

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Great board for the money. Nice heatsinks and board layout. Bios has some nice settings and very detailed options for performance tweaking

Cons: Needs more fan plugs think there is only 2 and the cpu fan.
Some CPU cooolers will hang over the RAM so you cant have ram with tall heatspreaders. mine cleared by 2 millimeters.

Other Thoughts: Had this mother board for about 8 months now and still running well. Overclocked my Athlon II x4 640 to 3.36 GHz with a FSB of 240 and x14 multiplier. Voltage stays around 1.404v and temps are good. memory is stable at 800MHz with a 3:10 FSB:DRAM ratio running at 9-9-9-24-33-1T.

Temps usually stay around 36C for my CPU

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent value

Pros: Fast, good internal graphic card. I've built several computers using this board, and they've been nothing short of reliable and excellent. Very happy with it.

Cons: Very fussy with memory, RAID didn't work right.

Other Thoughts: Almost two years after buying, bought identical memory to that originally purchased and which has run well for two years. Would not boot.

5 out of 5 eggs1 year going strong!

Pros: -Onboard Video not DOA like others experienced
-Nice overclocking tools, nicely set up BIOS for seemless overclocking

Cons: -1 PATA IDE166 port.
-Hybrid Crossfire doesnt work with HD5 series cards. Apparently, the chipset doesnt support hybrid at all.

Other Thoughts: One year after ownership, and the mainboard is still running quite strong. I haven't had the chance to exploit all its interesting and neat features. However, through the year of ownership, the board still hasn't crashed or bombed out. Nothing bad to say, first Asus board in over 5 years, and I wonder why I turned my back on them in the first place.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong!

Pros: Easy install and I booted on first try with my new build last year. Got all 6 cores up and running easy enough with a quick ASUS update. It still ran without notice without the update on 4 cores. Great mobo for the price.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Try updating the firmware if your not seeing all your cores or correct CPU.
