1 out of 5 eggsDead board

Pros: Great board when it was working.

Cons: As many others said here, about 1 month after use the board died on me.

Other Thoughts: I had always used ASUS in the past and despite the many warnings here I went ahead and got the board anyways. Luckily Newegg has a superior return policy.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Still working after almost a year. Everything installed without a hitch paired with an old A64 3400+ Clawhammer. Got the CPU to run up to 2.6GHz before it became unstable. Not a good over clocker, so don't buy this for gaming (Then again who buys S754's for gaming nowadays :P.

Cons: Nothing really, everything still works and haven't had a prob with it yet.

Other Thoughts: At first I was surprised on how small and simple the motherboard looks...making it ideal for small case solutions. If you want a small board for a home PC, then look no further. I have two of these and both are still working fine.

1 out of 5 eggsNoooo.....

Pros: Used to run good for 1 month...

Cons: Died out after a month...got another replacement from Manufacturer...DOA...>.<

Other Thoughts: If you want to build a computer, go straight for a regular mobo, don't use Micro ATX mobo...it's better to pay more than to suffer...=)

1 out of 5 eggsNEVER again

Pros: great when it works which is RARE

Cons: I ran this board for about a month before it failed to power on, got it repaired threw manufacturer, it worked great for 1 day adn the on board sound died, two days later the on board video died. Will not post at all with on board, will post but not boot with add on card.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is the best, I've had to RMA a few items that died to them, they ALL WAYS do a great job but the manufacturers are AWFUL to deal with. I ran my phone bill thru the roof last time I had a problem with this now it's going back to egg, they will make it right. I WILL NEVER BUY ASXX AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE and I have been a die hard Asxx fan since day one, out of the 11 systems I built with them only 1 still works, MxI, DxI are where it's at, period.

5 out of 5 eggsNice board

Pros: The K8N-VM is an awesome microATX board. The PCI-E interface and SATA support is a nice touch for a compact board. On board video works well.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have a similar gigabyte board, also microATX, that is no comparison. This is a great microATX board, ideal for a small HTPC.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great with 64 Bit Kubuntu Linux

Pros: This board functions perfectly with the 6.06 LTS release of AMD64 Kubuntu Linux. Just install Kubuntu via the alternate install CD, run Automatix to get the Nvidia driver, do a full update and you're all set.

Cons: Only one fan header other than the cpu fan. No firewire.

3 out of 5 eggsGood if don't need microphone support.

Pros: 2 - 3Gb/s SATA ports
HD sound
Integrated graphics for those not needing high end 3d graphics.

Cons: Sound drivers buggy. Windows HD drivers work fine but don't handle the microphone input. Asus drivers handle the microphone input but sound don't work right when reading files from a DVD or CD rom drive. Sound becomes very slow and cracking and once the sound stopped working completely requiring a reboot and driver reinstall.

Other Thoughts: Hope they come out with a sound driver that works properly. The August 2006 drivers are buggy.

Pros: I built a pc with this b oard for my friends mother,, it works just fine, and i really like pc probe.

Cons: no southbridge heatsink.. although i suppose it might not require one, and the northbridge heatsink was a bit loose on arrival.
