2 out of 5 eggsFine until...

Pros: Worked great and had no problems for the first year.

Cons: After about a year the network interface stopped working and the sound became scratchy. ASUS has the worst customer support site that I have ever dealt with. Finding any page is near impossible and I can't actually contact them without registering which I can't do because it claims my date of purchase is wrong when I try despite it coming directly off the newegg order history.

Other Thoughts: Had it not failed after a year and the support site not been so incredibly infuriating, I would have given this a 4 or 5.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about thee issues. Please contact us at stating all parts used and we will assist you.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Asus Motherboard

Pros: No problems yet, came with great software. Had all the slots I wanted and that it can run 2 PCI-E at 16x, thats main reason I bought it.

Cons: Instructions were all in all pretty good, except that it skips some steps all together. Not a big deal if you know what your doing because it explains that hard stuff in detail but some little things it just ignores.

Other Thoughts: I have only had the computer running for about a week, but no problems yet. SLI worked perfectly.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Great motherboard. I've had it for over a year and is part of my first ever build. Haven't had any problems (not self inflicted) so far. This system has been moved multiple times and only one problem exists but not from the moving.

Cons: After my system fell over the second RAM slot quit working. Not a big deal since I could put my second RAM in the 3rd slot. Only took 1 egg off due to this.

Other Thoughts: Looking to upgrade my video card but everything I've looked at say's DDR3 or DDR2 and I'm not sure what's compatible with the board. Any help would be great on this.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME BEAST

Pros: AMAZING, amazing feature set. It's the only LGA 1156 board that supports SLI'd PCI-E 16x, thanks to the NF-200 chip. Feels extremely high quality, and seems to be built to be solid as a rock.

Overclocks extremely well (I'm running my 2.8 GHz i7 860 at 3.8GHz 24/6), tons of PCI-E slots, support for tri-SLI (right now I'm running dual 470s, but when the time comes when I need more power, I need not throw away my 470's -- I'll just pop a third right in there), really nicely laid out, and it seems that the components are very well cooled. Also had no trouble fitting my Noctua NH-D14 cooler.

Wonderful board, easily the best I've ever had. Bought it when it was over $200, and I must say it's been worth every penny. Never again will I settle for "middle of the road" boards.

Cons: Isn't LGA 1366? (Not really a con, but I kind of wish I had an upgrade path for the CPU)

Other Thoughts: My system is:
- Core i7 860 @ 3.8 GHz
- 8GB Corsair DDR3-1600
- Asus P7P55WS SuperComputer
- 2x Gigabyte GTX 470's @ 790/1580/1675
- Antec Three Hundred Chasis
- Antec 750W TruPower PSU
- Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent motherboard

Pros: This motherboard has been extremely stable with my 1156 build. I replaced an EVGA P55FTW with this board because that board started to flake after a year of light use. This board has features that a lot of people may or may not use but it is nice they are there. The small TPM daughterboard is a nice touch also. I currently have an Asus motherboard in every computer I own so it goes to show that a company like Asus cannot get any better (my A8N SLI Premium still runs strong).

Cons: USB 3.0 would have been nice but I do not have any USB 3.0 devices. Maybe some more SATA ports would have been nice. I have an Areca RAID card in the system so that allowed me to expand my array without using all of my ports.

Other Thoughts: A good choice for gamers and professionals. Overclocking was fairly easy and the layout is nice. The I/O plate is nice also.

5 out of 5 eggsis simply beyond amazing!

Pros: This Mobo has endless potential . it comes with a very detailed manual and the right amount of accessories to get you running in no time. LED's for boot diagnostic is the best feature to get anyone on the right foot. The PCI card slot helps me keep some of my other hardware in use.

Cons: NONE !

Other Thoughts: This is my very first Asus Mobo, no regrets what so ever it would be nice if it had USB3.0. Honestly it was the easiest, most enjoyable and most rewarding build ever. No issues and well worth every single penny.

5 out of 5 eggsI miss it...

Pros: The most stable mobo I have ever seen. Ran 2x gtx580 AMP! edition cards beautifully with an i7 875k oc'd to 4.2 ghz. Thermal berriers on the cpu were the ONLY determining factor when I set my 24/7 oc. This board is amazingly stable. I cannot recall a bsod at all with this and several with my 1155 socket 2600k and my am3 1090t boards with their respective overclocks. Especially with sandy haha!

Cons: I kinda wanna fry my sandy at 5+ ghz and go back to using this as my main everydayer. Nothing really gets much better than a 3.4ghz qpi with 1.7ghz ram with a 4.2 ghz hyper threaded i7. It does get better but the boost scale levels out visually.

Other Thoughts: It's a very nice looking board. Not a toy. It's got the dual 16x and the 16x8x8x 3 way sli. I think for 2 way sli this board is better than any other because of the nice spacing each card has. My top side 580 on my sandy board runs 10 degrees hotter than it did when it was on this motherboard. I really do miss it, you can't tag a price on a stable rig like this. What a pleasure.

4 out of 5 eggsA bunch of surprises, some good, some bad.

Pros: -LOVE the heatsink routing (fanless) system
-Awesome board component placement, hooray ATX
-BIOS has a bajillion options which is awesome

Cons: -Really needs more onboard SATA ports, bad (what good is a supercomputer board with only 6 ports?)
-SATA port placement is comes in a stacked configuration facing outwards from the board, not upward which I find as a severe constriction
-A very disappointing and surprisingly feature that the BIOS is missing...Wake On Lan. Seriously? Every board has this. Also, no ability to force select OS at boot.

Other Thoughts: The Asus customer service is very difficult to sift through
