5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Board

Pros: The board itself looks absolutely great, it has a great bios system that helps to overclock easily and without failure. Very accessible slots for sli and a wireless adapter if you are using wifi. The installation of the board was very easy and simple. The board comes with tons of accessories that help so much. Even came with a vga converter adapter for people are still using vga monitors with a modern card. Very great motherboard for what I paid for.

Cons: None that I cam across to be completely honest.

Other Thoughts: Had the board since 2010 and no problems pertaining to the board as today.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Pleased

Pros: I won't get super-technical like anyone else, I do not feel that secure in my knowledge base.
What I will say though, is that from the moment the box arrived from Newegg, everything has been flawless. Every PC in this house is hand-built by either me or my father-in-law, who introduced me to OC'ing. I bought this motherboard for the purpose of OC'ing, and have been extremely happy with it.
The settings in BIOS were absolutely user-friendly for a person new to OC'ing, everything necessary for install and utilization of the board was included. The moment I plugged it in, it booted fine. I enjoy all the features on the board for this purpose, and often forget it's a mATX board. It doesn't seem to be lacking much.

Cons: I can't even think of one, and I'm not an ASUS fan-boy by any means. I've noticed with a number of mATX boards that the rear (part opposing the rear panel ports) don't always secure to typical cases (mainly older ATX cases, I re-use cases most of the time) and are a bit flimsy and need extra attention when installing cards to. Not worth taking an egg off since I did not use an mATX case for an mATX board.

Other Thoughts: I love this board, and will likely utilize one in my next build so long as the LGA 1156 Intel sockets offer reasonable processing power in the future.

1 out of 5 eggsNice!! DEACTIVATED and DOA!!!

Pros: Can't tell you any because it was DOA from newegg!!!

Cons: What can i say??? Oh i know, it was DOA out of the box!!!

Other Thoughts: Not to happy with this motherboard being DOA right out of the box. I know its not newegg's fault, but i don't have a warm loving feeling seeing that the item has been DEACTIVATED the day i receive it. I really hope that they don't try to replace it with an open box!!!

3 out of 5 eggsFirst ASUS and disappointed

Pros: Easy to install

Cons: Misleading statement about Raid support in SATA III. Not very easy to OC.

Other Thoughts: Just a so so board. Bought it cause everyone thinks Asus is so great. ASUS won't be my next board.

5 out of 5 eggsBEST MATX MB

Pros: Able to update BIOS within BIOS, as long as you have the extracted bios file on hard drive or flash drive. In the beginning, it would not boot from an older IDE DVD drive and post an error. Thanks to the easy BIOS update, I was able to install Windows 7. Everything is running smooth now.

Cons: Like others said, No USB-3 or Sata-6.

Other Thoughts: I love this MB. The flaming color and look got me into buying this MB. Asus will be the first on my list for all future rigs.

This is my first rig.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Amazing

Pros: Since I received this mainboard, I have been nothing short of amazed with it. I have an i3-540 3.06GHz CPU that has been running at 4.29GHz since day 1. I am using GSkill Trident Memory (2x2GB 2000MHz Memory) and a Corsair H50 Cooler. I have 2 Raptor 150 X drives in RAID0 with a pair of GTX260 Graphics cards in SLI. An Enermax Galaxy DX10 1000Watt PSU feeds this monster in a customized Antec P-180 Mini case. This thing runs Crysis at full bore on a 24" screen and the CPU never gets above 54 Degrees Celcius.

Cons: The only con I can come up with is that I can't think of a better word than Amazing.

Other Thoughts: I haven't even played with the ROG connect yet but I just got an Aspire One netbook that should run it very well. Can't wait to try it out.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!!

Pros: Ok, so... This motherboard is sweet. Never imagined that there would be a diverse micro mobo. I haven't had a single issue with fitment of anything and I'm rocking an Asus Radeon HD 6950 which is a huge card

Cons: Power button for my case doesn't plug into the board, to make up for that though the mobo has a start button on it which fixed that issue until i recieve my new case!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat M-ATX Mobo

Pros: The layout is great. I've installed pretty much anything I wanted with no issues ever.
It's allowed me to overclock my CPU from the stock 2.66 to 4.0 by adjusting the the internal clock speed to 200Mhz.
Has never crashed on me, never given a single hick up despite how much I've pushed it.

Cons: Nothing, really.

Other Thoughts: I have this is a Antec Mini P-180 case
i5 750 @ 4.0Ghz
8GB of DDR3 1333 @ 1600Mhz
AMD Radeon 6950 unlocked to a 6970
2 Crucial C300 64GB SSDs in a raid-0
1TB Western Digital Blue drive for storage
650 Watt XFX Modular PSU

This system was designed to trans-code movies and for heavy gaming. I love this setup. It will run pretty much anything I want.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Guy

Pros: This MoBo has all a Gamer could need. Performance Is fantastic, 100's of overclocking features. Bios Reset switch at the back, detailed manual, 5.1 creative xfi sound card built in (Even Gold Plated). 9+usb 2.0, SATA drive space that supports All Raid. 1 external sata port. The List go's on

Cons: The insulation pushes against the Mobo and bulges a bit at the back. Over all Not worth the -Egg.

Other Thoughts: This Mobo works with everything i've tossed at it.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect...

Pros: - Amazing array of internal connectors: 5 fan headers, 3 USB, 1394, temp sensors, dedicated e-Sata, etc., etc.
- External clear CMOS button a nice touch
- Two PCIe-16 at 8/8 hard to find in an mATX board.
- "Mem OK" feature seems to work for unqualified ram
- Love the video card retention clips--so much better than the "push-pin" kind.

Cons: - As others have noted, the memory QVL on the Asus website is an embarassment: virtually nothing on the list is currently available, and no 4 gb chips at all are listed. So it's hit or miss with RAM choice. Hard to fathom from a company like Asus.
- The single-sided locks on the memory slots are hateful
- Not a fan of their Q-Fan bios controls (no pun intended). Not able to precisely set a target temp and range of fan speeds (%) as in MSI boards for example.
- Speedfan software does not seem to work with this board at all, unless there's something I've missed??

Other Thoughts: - Took a chance and used 2 x 2gb of Corsair XMS3 1600 memory--installed in the red slots. At first, bios saw it as 1333, but setting it manually in Mem OK to 1600 allowed board to see it correctly, including dual channel mode and correct timings. Hope I'm as lucky when I go to install another 4gb in the black slots...
- Since I only wanted a mild overclock on an i750, I decided to try the auto features. First I tried the Asus O.C. software utility within Windows and it basically did nothing. Then I tried the Auto O.C. feature within the bios and it gave me a nice (for my purposes) 3.1 overclock with Turbo-mode enabled, ram at 1725.
- So all in all a good board. But I have to remove one egg for the silly memory problems and the fan speed controls.
- Personally, the other P55 board I own by MSI presented me with far fewer problems and more intuitive bios controls in several areas (particularly fan controls). If they made an mATX board with PCIe at 8/8 I would have gone with them.
