5 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Had this mother board for a few months to go along with my Phenom 2 x 4 940 at 3.0ghz. Works fine and has been what I needed. I have 6gb of ddr2 800 ram plugged in and it was recognized immediatley along with the 2 ssd drives i have. Overall good board.

Cons: I dont like the how far the Powerswitch/reset pins are from the front of the case.

5 out of 5 eggsEconomy upgrade that kicks @ss!!

Pros: Price!!
Multiple CPU Support (upgrade-ability)
Core Unlocker
Overclocking, if you TRULY know how to OC (not just raising the bus)
Lots of USB headers
Cool n Quiet
IDE (makes for an easy transition)
SPDIF (DIGITAL OPTICAL AUDIO)

Cons: Cant complain ab old tech (770, no USB 3.0) on the board, that's why its only $80!!
The board boasts of it's overclocking capabilities and only supplies a 4+1 not a 8+2 but does handle my phenom II X6 1055T from 2.8 to 3.6.
Only 1 extra fan header.
Won't recognize 2 IDE HDD. Tried every possible combination with different HDD's, only 1 HDD and/or optical drive would work.

Other Thoughts: Didn't recognize my Phenom II x6 as 2.8 (800Mhz) on initial boot, quick bios update, np. OC to 3.6G (prime95) fairly easily with the usual tweaking. When I get my Hyper 212+ and some heat sinks for the Vrm's (Enzotech MOS-C1 C1100) I'm reaching for the 4G!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsMarvalass

Pros: Everything. I purchased this board because my old one died. So made a parallel move with AMD. Well to my surprise was able to upgrade cpu to QUAD at TRI price, I LOVE AMD. Works great as a media center which is what I use it for. No hiccups or problems. Very fast Using Vista Ultimate (which I also brought at NE) should be making the move to Windows 7 64 soon.

Cons: NONE

1 out of 5 eggs2 bad and that was enough

Pros: None

Cons: Tried using this board for a build due to its 4 DDR2 slots, but after 2 DOA's and returns switched to an ASROCK board and has been flawless since.

Other Thoughts: Newegg was awesome with the RMA process.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid ASUS Board.....

Pros: Solid ASUS quality, replaced a M4N82D that I killed by my own stupidity mounting in case and shorting out, expensive lesson in paying attention to board mounting. This M4A77D is a good solid board, mine is running a 24x7 security camera DVR system and home automation control system. With an AMD 245e dual core 45W and XFX HD4350 graphics card with Win7 Home Premium 32 bit and it is all purring like a kitten at about 70 watts with a 4 port Bluecherry DVR card too.

Cons: Only one PS2 mouse-keyboard port, had to try several different USB-PS2 adapters to find one that worked with my favorite four port PS2 KVM, this was acceptable because everything else about this board fit my needs exactly.

Other Thoughts: Most of the ASUS apps that come on the disk are not up to what I believe is ASUS quality, however I do like Cool & Quiet so far. I uninstalled the rest.....
I have so many ASUS boards in builds I have lost track, the only one that has ever died, I killled, as mentioned above. I have ASUS blood in my viens, but we all like what works for us, so go with what works for you!

5 out of 5 eggsGood board!

Pros: * 6 SATA ports
* Supports up to a 6 core CPU
* Stable
* Gigabit Ethernet

Cons: * Only 1 case fan header...
* Could have traded more PCI slots for PCI-E x1

Other Thoughts: Overall, a great board. I would have got the DDR3 version, but I bought 4GB of OCZ Platinum DDR2 1 month before my old board died...

1 out of 5 eggsunstable

Pros: none

Cons: unstable, RMA'ed 1st board, 2nd board simular problems Windows locks, won't boot, ram is picky even though it is on ASUS's approved list.

Other Thoughts: don't buy this board, go with another reputable company.
