ASUS, the greatest manufacture of motherboards in the world, has brought us the new model - P7H57D-V EVO, which is base on Intel's new H57 chipset.

This motherboard, which goes with Intel H55 chipset, supporting the latest Intel LGA1156 CPUs (Core i7/Core i5/Core i3) including the Intel Clarkdale processors with integrated GPU, outputs 2D and 3D images without an independent graphics card. To match up the sharp CPU speed, Dual-channel DDR3 memory up to the rates of 2133 (O.C) is supported. P7H55-M Pro also supports PCI-e 2.0 for twice the speed and bandwidth which enhance the performance. Adequate VGA output ports such as HDMI and DVI fulfills your 1080P high-definition movie requirement.

Overclocking features boasted by ASUS, like GPU Boost, ASUS TurboV and Turbo Key utterly levels up your system. Meanwhile, ASUS also focuses on power saving and noise reduction with ASUS EPU and ASUS Fanless Design/Fan Xpert. P7H55-M Pro provides 8-channel audio as well as S/PDIF-out on back port for alternative audio solutions.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus is good

Pros: This board is great. I have been building computers for 12 years. I put my computer together and haven't had a problem since. Asus updates are great.

Cons: I don't have any problems with this board.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MB, PLEASE READ

Pros: I need to submit this review UPDATE of sorts This MB is fantastic, it demands the buyer do some research.

All buyers will have trouble with their Video if they hav a lynnfeild Core i5 or i7 and expect the MB video to work. It will not. ONLY with Clarksdale CPUs else we need to install a video board.

Cons: I had to learn a few things before I knew the in and outs of this powerful board.

Other Thoughts: Its an extremely powerful motherboard, way above the rest IF IF the end user knows how to take advantage of it. I learned the hard way myself in buying clarkdales CPU with lynnfield voltage RAM, the specs taught me a lot.

Everyone, make sure you ask questions when ordering memory and CPU, I used a Clarksdale Core i3 and RAN blue ray movies just fine, the CPU suppled me with FULL HD 1080p video on my 24 Acer monitor. I have since upgraded to Core i5 661 CPU andI chose to install a video card for stronger graphics for gaming.

1 out of 5 eggspoor specifications

Pros: not sure

Cons: Specifications listed by manufacturer and Newegg say this board will run 16GB of DDR3 @ 1600 MHz.

So far, I've spent $400 on G.Skill and $200 on Corsair memory. I can only load an operating system using this motherboard with a single stick of 4GB DDR3 running in single-channel mode.

Today, asus support told me the 16 GB figure was actually a "theoretical" estimate, since they've never found any memory capable of running in this board as advertised.

Other Thoughts: Am I the only one who's tried to load 16 GB of memory into this board to see if it works?

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good mother board except for the on board video.

Cons: I have given this board a poor rating because of the on board video. The Video was DOA on the first board I received. New Egg was great about replacing the board. When I received the second board, it had the same problem – DOA video. I had to purchase a video card to use the board. I note in reading the reviews others have had the same problem with this board.

1 out of 5 eggsNO VIDEO!!!

Pros: havn't been able to find any because I don't have any video.

Cons: No video with i5 760!!! This is not the fault of the motherboard, but stupid newegg! Why they would sell this mobo with an i5 760 combo and no video card has me at a loss for words! I will probably be returning this combo to buy parts that actually work with each other.

3 out of 5 eggsVideo Card

Pros: Has Onboard Video when paired with a Clarkdale Processor( with Integrated GPU)

Cons: When ordering the Combo - you MUST order a seperate video card since the MB only supports onboard video with a Clarkdale processor(with integrated GPU) - The Combo comes with a Lynnfield processor and cannot take advantage of this feature - I'm a little frustrated about this - Will have to follow up if there any more problems

Other Thoughts: Newegg should consider pairing this board up with Clarkdale processor ( with GPU) to be able to use existing Video connectors

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: So far, a solid board for my new install. Everything worked out of the box and the BIOS issues listed seem to have been resolved.

Cons: I've had this board a month and the Gigabit network card is starting to go out on me. Right now, the card won't work unless I manually set it to 10Mbps/Full Duplex in the OS I'm using (Have tried Xubuntu, Windows 7x64 and ArchLinux). Because I just spent a decent amount of money on the build, I don't want to have to find a new network card already!

1 out of 5 eggsTwo bad boards

Pros: Attractive spec sheet

Cons: I bought this board as part of a DIY kit. VGA test failed on first power-up, no on-board video output from VGA, DVI or HDMI. Returned to NewEgg, received replacement, and the replacement failed at power-up with the same on-board VGA error. This error prevents the board from starting POST.

3 out of 5 eggsBios!

Pros: I could not tell you. See below. I gave three eggs because of the people whom have had no problems seem to be happy with it.

Cons: This board has out of date bios. Beware. It lists several Intel iX cpu's it is compatible with, when in fact, it does not recognize them. I have a i5 760, and it does not with this one.
If you buy this board, go ahead and contact Asus for an updated bios chip so you'll have it on hand when this board does not boot up because of the above mentioned reasons.

Other Thoughts: New Egg should contact Asus about this bios problem and have them replace their stocked boards with ones that have current bios. This will avoid angering future customers. This board is being packaged with a processor it does not recognize! Please Newegg, for your own sake, look into this.

1 out of 5 eggsLoaded with features but basic features fail

Pros: Lots of connections and has USB 3.0 as well as SATA III connections. Tons of SATA II ports for on-board RAID. Has a DVI, HDMI and regular D-Sub connections. HD Audio output.

Cons: Received board with defective on-board video. After realizing that the on-board video was defective the SATA III controller stopped working properly. Board automatically overclocks the CPU and RAM causing stability issues with the DIY kit purchased.

Other Thoughts: Maybe this was just a bad board but this is the first ASUS mainboard that I have had fail this bad.
