1 out of 5 eggsUpdate - MUST READ!

Pros: Initial setup was good, box was pretty - but that is as far as it goes.

Do not expect it to have updates to BIOS or drivers as the manufacture is refusing to adequately support their product lines. See my other thoughts on this.

Cons: Terrible support! "Tech" could not offer knowledgeable support that would allow me to run with memory from Corsair as DDR3 1600 - even thou it is listed as supported on the packaging, in the manual and even online.

Absolute refusal to work with me on RMA since it was not a "problem" with the motherboard, as the tech constantly insists it was bad memory instead of listening to what I was telling him:

MEMTEST says memory is fine, it works in a Gigabyte board and even a MSI board with all 16gb installed and runs at 1600 timings on first boot, so why is it you are saying it is a bad memory stick?

The system runs with 16gb (4x4gb) of XMS3 1600 matched modules, but will not allow them to run at anything other than 1333 timing. It does not matter if all 4 sticks are inserted the timing remains locked at 1333.

The "tech" finally hung up on me claiming that I was being "rude and offensive" when I was most assuredly not and I have the recording to prove it.

Other Thoughts: Do not expect A$u$ to provide assistance for their product beyond the printed manual or the flashy packaging. Their technical support staff is nothing more than a bunch of contracted "telemarketers" turned into support monkeys that read off canned answers.

I can only hope that the technical staff at Corsair is much more helpful and knowledgeable with their efforts to correct this situation.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about the issues. Please contact us at stating all parts used and we will look into this for you.

5 out of 5 eggsLink to info at asus website

Pros: ?

Cons: ?

Other Thoughts: I am researching this MB for an upcoming build. I do not yet own it. I wanted to respond to the previous review that said that there is no info on asus website. If you click on motherboards, on the right of the screen is a link for "Best USB 3.0 Experience" Click that and you will be taken to a page where you can select available products, intel and see the webpage for this product, manual, etc. (I would post a link but newegg doesn't allow it)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard!

Pros: Good BIOS/CMOS options and included hardware. Room for expansion with plenty of connections for SATA, USB and USB3 options.

Cons: No PATA (IDE) or Floppy Headers present - not really a con but something you need to be aware of when planning your build.

Other Thoughts: Combined this with a i5 560 and 4gb of DD3 10666 memory, SATA HDD and ODD, nVidia GTS 250 1gb and I can play COD: Black Ops at high settings with zero lag. COD: MWII never looked as good and even other games that I could not play comfortably ROCK with this setup.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: See Below

Cons: See Below

Other Thoughts: I can confirm that there is absolutely NO information whatsoever on the P7H55/USB3 motherboard on the Asus website- ANYWHERE. I rate this 1 egg because of the lack of information about it. This board might not be worth buying just yet, at least not until there is information available for it. As everyone knows, an informed builder is a smart builder.

If anyone has any real info on it, please share a link or two...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Great expansion, fast, cheap. Can be overclocked any way you like. All the settings are there. The other poster must not have got a manual with it because everything he said as a con is just not so. And it is on ASUS website with all documentation.

Cons: None so far, very customizable and takes i3 i5 or i7 processors

Other Thoughts: Do't get the -M version, has slow SATA ports where this card has the full speed SATA2 ports.

3 out of 5 eggsNot for overclockers

Pros: - Decent layout
- Smooth install, no big issues with hardware

Cons: - Not listed on the ASUS website as a product
- Secondary pcie 16x only operates @ 4x in cf mode
- Small bundle of accessories included
- Poor overclocking options as far as the i series are concerned, missing voltages options ICH, IOH, CPU Vtt, can't set uncore frequency, no way to individually set the iGPU requency for i3/i5's, few ram ratio settings
- Connecting the front panel audio seems to completely disable the back i/o audio connections (haven't fiddled with that much yet though)
- Hard to find info/support on the motherboard around the web

Other Thoughts: Wish I wasn't stuck with this thing.

.... And when will motherboard designers realize that many pc enthusiasts have bottom mount psu cases and they should probably relocate the 4/8pin power for the cpu to a more easy to access area that doesnt get blocked by 90% of the aftermarket cooling solutions.
