5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Work Station Board, 16.2 VRM=92% Power efficiency.
EFI BIOS=Welcome to the Future, bout time.
Will handle any video card you want, ATI, NVidia=2/3 way and Quad crossfire, 2/3 Way SLI, and 4 way Quadro, 4 way Tesla or 1 Quadro and 3 Tesla's, can you say WOW!
Sports the second generation I7 and the feature rich P67 chipset. Hello Intel, I'm back. Two USB dongles for internal USB thumb drives, ready boost thumb drives inside the case, so cool. The onboard power, reset switches and troubleshooting LED at the bottom of the board facing up is really sweet. 32 Gigs of DDR3 support, you'll need 12 to 24 gigs to support Tesla 3/4 card setup depending on on the version and flavors of choice. And yes it also allows some Overclocking if thats your bag, but not what the board was designed for, you should go for the Maximus Extreme for that stuff. This board was designed to be extremely reliable and power efficient and above all stable. That's why I chose it. It's a great looking board.

Cons: Dont get me wrong this is a fantastic MB, just like to point out to ASUS what I think could have made a great board even better.

1. Could have used a pair of USB 3.0 headers on board.
2. Could have added support for 4 way SATA6, i.e., RAID 0/1/10 and 6 way SATA3, RAID 0/1/10/5/JBOD
3. Ahh yes and lastly 3 or 4 more, 4 pin PWM headers and included the 2 pin thermalcouple risers for each fan position like the Maximus extreme.
This is one sweet motherboard, ASUS I'm back in your camp after a long time away!
;0)

Other Thoughts: System Build:
1. Cooler Master 690 II Advanced NVidia Limited Edition Case.
2. ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution.
3. Intel I7 2600K @ 4.8Ghz
4. Gskill 16GB kit DDR3 1600 (F3-12800CL7Q-16GBXH)
5. 2 Palit 560Ti 2GB SLI @ 910Mhz Core and 1805 Mhz Shader clock. Yes Nvidia I'm back and thanks for the new GF114 chip, really nice, just so sweet and cool running.
6. 2 Mushkin 60GB SSD's in RAID 0, woo woo choo choo, screaming fast...OS
7. 4 WD 640GB Black in RAID 10, Very fast DATA Drive..
8. One Sony Blue Ray Burner, pretty quick.
9. Oh yeah Thors Hammer for the processor in Push/Pull arrangement.
10. Corsair AX1200 Professional series power supply 80 Plus Gold Series built to Military standards with better than 90% efficiency. Can you say WOW! Sinlge Rail at over a hundred amps.
To all the manufactures of these components, thank you! Win 7/64 bit professional experience index is better than 7.9. And yes Microsoft, Thank you too, but you need to raise the experience index bar, need update.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Nice, but has issues.

Pros: It's a very very nice mobo (like, I almost came just looking at pictures of it lol). Packed with useful features. UEFI. Obnoxious amount of USB ports (not a bad thing at all). Glowing ASUS logo. Per-part LED diag lights. All-in-one front panel connector thingy (why didn't we think of this before?! genius!). COM port adapter (I will never ever use this. I find it cool that they included one). A bunch of features that I haven't figured out how to use yet.

Cons: Ah, yeah there's problems. Of course, I understand the whole early-adopter risks and such, but there are issues.

First: Double-post on boot. This is just stupid and should have been fixed before release. What happens is when powered on, the system will POST, then shut down after a few seconds. And then start up again and run normally. Fix: Enable 'Wake from PCIe' in BIOS under APM settings and reboot into Windows (Yes, this makes no sense. But it 'fixes' it.)

Second: RAM detection issues. This might just be a limitation of the P67 chipset (which should have been fixed). I am using a DDR3-1600 4x2GB G.Skill Ripjaws X series RAM. I know it's not in the vendor list, but it should work (and it does). Upon boot, it detected it as DDR3-1333 with 9 CAS latency, which is wrong. Fix: Use X.M.P. Profiles. Afaik, I can't overclock the way I want with this enabled though. I'm still playing with this. I do have my DDR3-1600 with 9 CAS. Though it should be 8 :/

Other non-ciritcal stuff as w

Other Thoughts: I'm normally an EVGA fan. I was intending on buying an SR-2 X58 board from them, but then the first iteration of Sandy Bridge came out, and I decided to go with that. However, EVGA doesn't have a P67 board, which I found odd. Then I found this ASUS board and just fell in love with it. Happy ASUS customer ever since :D

I'm not returning it. It just think that it shouldn't have had the problems it did OOB, though they were easy fixes. I'm still messing with the RAM to get it right.

Kudos to ASUS. Still buying EVGA GeForce cards though :P

5 out of 5 eggskudos to Asus

Pros: It's made by Asus-it has tri SLI capability and excellent support. All my previous problems went away between the latest bios release ( today) and installing the 260.99 drivers( the 263.09 would not install)

Cons: it can be a problem being a 1st adopter with compatibility issues

Other Thoughts: I now am verry happy with this board

5 out of 5 eggsGreat motherboard

Pros: Can do x16 x16 with two video cards which most P67 can't do without the NF200 chip, which this mobo has. Great design and I love the EFI. Handles overclocking like a champ since it has great VRMs. The layout was perfect for me since. Overall, this is a great mobo ASUS has made.

Cons: Nothing yet

Other Thoughts: I am glad I saved some money and got this board, it seems to have all the features and I need and left out the trendy stuff like bluetooth.

3 out of 5 eggsdoes not live up to promise

Pros: it's a Sandy Bridge mobo; it's an Asus; Seems fairly stable within certain parameters

Cons: I got this to have tri-Sli and a pci-e sound card;could not handle a third third video card without major lag, this with trying two differnt video card setups and two different power Supplies including Thermaltake 1200.
then, I discover that it,s only a modest overclocker, topping out at 4.5ghz.The deluxe is a better mobo

Other Thoughts: maybe my mobo is defective, cause it's advertised to handle tri SLI. I was, really looking forward to seeing what my 480s could do in this setup. Oh well

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issue that you are having with triple SLI on this motherboard. There is an issue with the current nVidia driver stack which is why you are experiencing this lag. This will be patched in an upcoming driver release from nVidia to fix the issue. In the interim, you can use version 263.09 drivers from nVidia to fix the issue.

Best Regards,

ASUS Support Team
