1 out of 5 eggsWas great until...

Pros: Great while it still runs.

Cons: Fails after less than a year, taking out components with it.

Other Thoughts: This board was absolutely phenomenal up until today. I came home to find my computer off. After hitting the power button to turn the computer on. It wouldn't boot. The power button LEDs inside were turned on. I power recycled, then turned the computer on. All at one there was a rush of smoke and sparks. I pull the computer apart to find that the board had arced and destroyed one of my graphics cards on the computer. The card being only 2 months old.

1 out of 5 eggspile of do do

Pros: nothing

Cons: the usb ports keep cutting out within a month of having it, i've emailed asus and they are like "spend ur money, and send it to us, then wait around 2-3 weeks and we will send you a refurbished one" then your out of a computer for those 2-3 weeks,

Other Thoughts: go with a gigabyte board

1 out of 5 eggsVideo Card Slot Dies

Pros: Motherboard worked great at first.

Cons: After 7 months my video card slot randomly died. I never saw this happen before. I thought for sure it was my old monitor, so I had it replaced.

Now I'm out an extra $250 because the issue was not the monitor, but the motherboard. I swapped the card into the alternative slot and suddenly I could get a picture again.

Unfortunately this slot is positioned as such that my power supply now exhausts directly into my video card's heat exhaust and games no longer run smoothly.

Other Thoughts: Unless this is replaced quickly, I'm never buying an Asus again.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear that the PCIe slot failed. Please call us at 1-812-282-2787 or use our online form at http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx to request a RMA so that we can repair the part on your motherboard or replace it with another. We apologize for the inconvenienced this may cause.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent motherboard

Pros: Good assortments of ports and add-in card slots. USB 3.0 and high 2 high speed SATA ports. Decent layout for build and CPU placement within the case. RAID-1 works.

Cons: The PS/2 keyboard port isn't reliable with Windows 7. I spent a long time trying to fix this; including modifying the PS/2 driver to add some longer retries. However, I was having some strange system 'hangs' and I decided it was due to this port going 'out to lunch'; so I converted to a USB keyboard and mouse. ASUS shouldn't include this port if it isn't compatible. I have had another hang issue that I think is related to a newer NVIDIA driver and my video card.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice to have two more high speed SATA ports on the Intel chipset. The two on the MARVEL chip are reported to be much slower.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked great... for 9 months

Pros: It has all the features I was looking for at the time, including plenty of USB ports and USB support. The Realtek audio was surprisingly good quality and the ASUS software suite was surprisingly pleasing as well.

Cons: Died after 9 months, never could get front audio jacks to work right on my Corsair 800D with this board. Some of the positions for the cables weren't as well thought out as I would have liked.

Other Thoughts: Kind of disappointed it would just pop after 9 months. I was just going along using it yesterday like normal and suddenly it just powered off and wouldn't start up. Power is definitely still getting to the board, there wasn't any kind of power outage or anything like that, and the computer is hooked up behind two rather strong surge protectors to boot. I intend to inspect it more closely with the help of a friend today and see if I can spot what happened, but I'm definitely disappointed that an Asus product didn't have the staying power.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about your experience with this motherboard. Please try to use another power supply to see if the system can power on and verify the cable connections. If no change, use our online form at: http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx or call us at 1-812-282-2787 to RMA the motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Paired with an Intel 2600K it runs great with fantastic clocking ability.

Cons: Only wish the Marvell SATA ports could've been an additional (2) Intel 6gb/s ports instead.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again!

1 out of 5 eggsupdate

Pros: you can use it as a wedge for a door

Cons: aside from my bluetooth woes that persist, fixed by buying a medialink dongle and the worn usb connector that just falls out at random i now have 4 dead sata ports. i ran the asus sata verifier along with cpu-z and for some reason asus sent me a b2 back during the last RMA. let us go ahead and put an emphasis on last RMA because I am very seriously done with this board. I have a p8p67 LE in a lower power pc that has not given me any problems. I have a p8b75-m in another build that has been great so far but this board, EXPENSIVE as it was when I purchased it and after waiting for the b3 revision before even making a purchase i get to deal with this. don't get me started on all the other blips and issues it gives, like not being able to update the firmware all the way because the one I received was 4 versions behind and after 3 updates it decided it didn't want anything to do with the latest. i'm pulling this garbage out of my computer and i'm going to fix it by putting it in a plastic bag and hammering it to tiny pieces. those pieces i will melt into a tiny brick of garbage that it is and will use it as a paperweight and a reminder to never mess with Asus for my important builds.

Other Thoughts: thank everything it is discontinued, i'm going back to intel.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the issue you have with this motherboard.

Can you tell me more about the Bluetooth and other issues? If you received a B2 revision of this motherboard from a recent RMA, please contact us at 1-812-282-2787 so that we can provide you a correct B3 revision replacement. Our BIOS updates are cumulative. You only have to update to the latest version; there's no need to update each release until the latest version.

To continue support with the Bluetooth functionality and other issues on this board, please contact me at cl-benson@asus.com.

3 out of 5 eggsProblematic & Annoying

Pros: When it works it's a fine board. UEFI BIOS is very easy to work with. Easy overclocker and runs stable when functioning.

Cons: First one arrived with a dead drive controller, advance RMA board was a refurbished one and showed up with non-functioning lower fan headers, USB 3.0 quit working after 5 months of light use. Was initially denied a second advance RMA board, called Asus corporate offices and got alleged second advance RMA. Send second board back immediately via FedEx expecting a new replacement in 3 days (Asus repair facility is a few hundred miles away from me). One week later I called asking where the replacement was and nobody knew. I made at least 5 calls and was promised a call back in 10-15 minutes every time and didn't get a single call back. Finally got an e-mail that a board had been shipped. When it arrived it was the same board I had sent back not the new one i was told I would be getting. Fan headers were working but RAM slots A1 and B1 weren't, never even tried the USB 3.0. Got a third advance RMA and replacement showed up today. A different refurbished board with everything working so far except my Corsair Vengeance 32GB 1866 will not boot at 1866 even after increasing the voltage to 1.65 volts as suggested by Corsair. The same RAM worked fine in previous board @1.5 volts before the USB ports died. Boots at 1600 but if BLCK is set higher than default 100 won't post, worked fine at 103.5 before.

Other Thoughts: Despite the apparant best intentions of some Asus customer service people I am very unhappy that after over 3 weeks of agony I still don't have a P8P67 Deluxe that functions as it should. I'm now considering getting a Z77 board from a different manufacturer with a better customer service record. If I had known I'd have to go through all this I would have bought a different board 3 weeks ago.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about your experiences with RMA. If there's anything that you need help with regarding your motherboard, please feel free to contact me at cl-benson@asus.com.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Mobo

Pros: Good Mobo for the money. I did not experience any of the horror some other reviewers have. This was my first build and everything went smoothly. Massive amount of usb ports and a bunch of cool features. I know there are better boards out there but I am happy with it.

Cons: My 6 GB slot is not as fast as it should be.

Other Thoughts: Asus P8P67 Deluxe 3.0
Intel i7 2600K
16 GB Ripjaws
MSI GTX 660 TI
1 TB Western Digital 6/GB sec
Zalman CNPS9500
