5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: UEFI. Works as intended. This board gives me enough rear inputs, and using the offset vcore setting, you can over clock just as nicely (if not better) as using a manual, set voltage.

Cons: No USB 3.0 I/O. My case has an a front 3.0 input that has to go into a 2.0 I/O. Oh well.

Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this motherboard on here, but I decided it needed a 5 egg review, seeing as there really is nothing wrong with this board (seriously, it's an ASUS, they make very reputable boards..) and it keeps getting bad reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice motherboard

Pros: Not sure why so many people are having problems with this particular model. With the sub-1000 build I just did recently I've had no problems. The bios is easy to understand and overclocking is a breeze.

Cons: None that I can think of, getting the ports to fit into the I/O plate was tedious but I eventually got it to fit.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Happy

Pros: I worte a review on this last MOB last week and after a long weekend I final got WinXp to load (From IDE drive). THe problem was in the ATA controlled setup. Changed it to tht"Compatible" mode. Xp load was clean. Down loaded Sp3. Reset ATA Controller to Enhanced. Re boot all OK. Will load Win7 on #2 HD for dual boot..... This MOB is gettig a bad rap because some of the instruction on the MFG site are not clear/correct.

Cons: Some of the drivers on Asus site listed for this board will not load. Get " not compatible with MOB" Sill have issue in "Device Manger" under other devices-"PCI simple communication devices" Yellow flag- Driver not loaded. Asus need to post this driver. PCI\VEN_8086&Dev_1C3A+SubSys Is the device ID

1 out of 5 eggsNot happy

Pros: Looks good. Solid construction. Easy to install in new build. Bios software is nice But......

Cons: Windows Xp will not load in any mode. Tried to repair Xp with Windows Xp disk. Always stopped at same point. Indicated bios upgrade should br tried. Bios update from Mfg. site would not load. Mfg on line Diag leaves a lot to be desired ie. pic of where to find bios rev. tells you to look on board but the pic. is of a monitor screen.. Purchased Windows 7 2 days ago fron Negg. Will See what happens.

5 out of 5 eggsZach

Pros: I originally posted a review stating that I had to RMA the product due to it being defective. The RMA process was excellent. I shipped and received the product within 2 to 3 weeks.
The new motherboard works perfectly. No more reboot loops, no more "no signal" to my monitor, it's fantastic. First boot, it POSTs successfully. The bios is very sleek, and seems to work mighty fine.

Cons: Other than the fact that I had to RMA my first one, this product is exactly what was ordered.

Other Thoughts: The quick response by Asus and newegg truly turns the worst case scenario experience into a great one. They both seem to always monitor the reviews and quickly solve the problem. I've been shopping at newegg for years, and this is the precise reason why I wont go anywhere else.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mobo but ONLY after latest BIOS release (v1002)

Pros: It's cheap, fast (4.7 GHz) and works as expected after updating BIOS to version 1002.
No nonsense, easy to understand BIOS.
16,500+ Geekbench 64 score @ 4.7 GHz
9.2+ Cinebench 11.5 CPU Score

Cons: Before BIOS v1002. the computer would without warning, rhyme or reason, just cut off on it's own like someone pulling the power cord out of it at least once a day. This happened in Windows 7, Vista, and OSX Snow Leopard. I just reluctantly put up with it for months....knowing it was BIOS related.
Beyond frustrating because other than that the board works great. Never experienced anything like it before on other builds.

Other Thoughts: Just when you think you've seen EVERYTHING that can possibly go wrong with building a computer.......you are thrown for a loop. LOL
