1 out of 5 eggsDOA, Painful RMA

Pros: All the features the motherboard is supposed have.
The mobo is loaded with just about all the features you could ask for on a single motherboard.

Cons: The board could not be used since day 1 (purchased on 08/03/2011).
I RMA'd my unit because Newegg sent me back the motherboard indicting the board is physically damaged (I cannot agree, since I was not aware of any damage and neither did technicians at Asus).
First RMA took about 2 weeks. It came defective again.
I wasted about half a day trying to figure out what was wrong with it until I decided to RMA again.
Second RMA took another 2 weeks. It came back defective again! I found out that ASUS just sent me back the motherboard after just testing the board. No documentation regarding what has been tested. I am becoming skeptical about their test, since there is no record of exactly what has been tested. I have tried the motherboard with 2 different sets of components. Both of the sets are working fine on my other boards. They also are listed under qualified vendors list.
I need to RMA again, but not sure if the problem will ever be resolved at this rate.

Other Thoughts: ASUS RMA sucks.
The RMA number cannot be located online.
Phones are constantly not working, so you can't reach them.
Even when you do get to talk to them, they sound like they don't really care about the situation. I even had a guy hanging up a phone on me. Another person told me they are tech support team and not customer service representatives when I told them I had a person hanging up a phone call on me.
My 4th RMA was supposed to be a cross ship. I sent mine in on 02/10/2012, delivered to them on 02/14/2012. Asus still do not even have my replacement unit's shipping information as of 02/15/2012.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsNicely done

Pros: Overall a good board. It's larger than I expected and had to get a larger case, but that turned out to be a good thing in the long run.
Shortly after I got it there were some issues reaching POST, but switching to the secondary BIOS seems to have taken care of that. Haven't had any serious issues since

Cons: The wifi could be better. The adapter seems to turn off after a while when it's being used heavily, but if you are willing to connect a cable to the network you can avoid it. Either way, restarting the adapter takes care of it.

I am beginning to think ASUS stopped production of this board due to too many issues. Newegg no longer has this item in stock. I see several other who had similar experience

1 out of 5 eggsWhat Can I say......

Pros: Looks nice. that is about it

Cons: purchased from NewEgg on 08/08/2011 come defective, sent to be repaired a month later they sent me another defective board, as Today 11/11/2011 still don't have the board. C.S
@ Asus has to be the worse in this industry PERIOD!!!.

Other Thoughts: I totally disgusted with Asus and their practices.

2 out of 5 eggsMemory/boot drive issues

Pros: Works well. Overclocks well. Nice looking.

Cons: More than 6gb's of memory and my boot drive shows major decrease and a continuing precipitous drop in available space.

Other Thoughts: Even aside from this issue, this board is overpriced. Can't wait for x79.

3 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Full featured Board

Pros: SATA 3, USB 3.0. On Board POST Displays

Cons: Locked up on a Error Code that was not defined in the manual, and was unable to clear. Had to return it. It also had problems with SSD's and ACHI, but so does the Assassin Board I replaced it with.

Other Thoughts: With all of the problems I saw with the board and reported by others I decided to go with A Gigabyte Assassin. I really wish it hadn't these issues. I may try again, a new BIOS was just released on 10/10.11

1 out of 5 eggswhat has happened to ASUS?

Pros: I thought the pros were the onboard BT/WiFi, the 19 pin USB 3.0 ect... ect... newegg should find a way to give resellers a negitive egg or black eggs. this board had such a high expectation. I feel I was really stole from. Black edition right like a plauge

Cons: DOA; Bought from new egg in 9/9/11 set on my store rack for a month or so then NO POST
to spit my $550.00 loss I am going to get a EVGA 770 not as good as a Rampage but I can depend on them. and they don't ask for your first bornto do a cross ship

Other Thoughts: ASUS support has gone away. I was refused a level 2 teck I was refused a supervisor. indirectly exact quote " well if you want to stay on hold for at least 45 minutes the may or may not pick up" I actually opted to wait once; 20 minutes and the phone just went dead. ASUS your staff is makeing fools of you. Thick heavy un-identfiied acsents very poor english and grammer and no comunication. If I ask a staff to speak to their super... they better say yes sir and put me thru. ANY way I am thru with you unless you appologixe directly and substantialy. Iv'e bout over 8 boards from you all the way back to the 775 days, lived thru the 68 set thing now you ARE making a gimik out of a dead socket fine. but if u treat customers like this you will soon be out of the private market. EVGA takes care of ther own.

4 out of 5 eggsRampage 3 black

Pros: What i love about this board is the amount of slots and ability to turn them on and off thru the board. the debug is real helpfull. It has debug codes, along with L.E.D's that will tell you what is wrong with it. BIOS are easy to work with.

Cons: The onboard sound is good quality, but and im sure its mostly b/c of the game, crashes bc2. Needs more usb connectors. it has 2 spots for usb, but if you are using the rog it takes one up. space between the pcie slots, if your using a high end video card wich im sure you are if you bought this then the fan will cover up one of you pci slots and things will start to get tight. i went water coled so the block saves me space.

Other Thoughts: over all im very satisfied with this board iv always went with asus and have never been disapointed.
