5 out of 5 eggsGreat long life board

Pros: Long life and no problems so far. It is easy to set up the bios gives a lot of great options laid out in an easy manor.

Cons: The sata ports are in an akward place if you have a long graphics cards.

Other Thoughts: I once spilled water over the pci slots where my raid cards were. after draining the power and a fixed blow dryer for 8 hours it was back up and running with no issues. Even Poseidon has no power against this board.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Has USB 3.0 with a low price tag. An okay board, in general.

Cons: Died after barely a year. Replacing a motherboard is always a hassle.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Look at all those Sata 6.0 Gbps ports!

Cons: Deactivated...

Left me with a 1394 cable flappin around in the case

Other Thoughts: Found no issues with playing Modern Warfare 3, Blu ray movies, and surfing the web to test my HTPC to sell. I wish it printed money, cuz I can't get any1 to buy this build lol...

1 out of 5 eggsDOA ???

Pros: Features, price

Cons: DOA. Got a post beep code for bad video. Given that this is a FM1 MB that uses an AMD A series APU, I suppose it could have been a defective APU. But since MB DOA's are far more common than processor DOA's, I'd put my money on the MB. I sent both back, Newegg won't refund the APU so I'm having them swap it for another, the MB they will refund. I'm through with AMD APU's, I'll stick with AM3's

Other Thoughts: I should have known better than to go with something new so soon after it came out. shame on me. Kudos to the egg for handling it the best it could be.

2 out of 5 eggsFrustrating behavior with SSD

Pros: Nice feature set. Well layed out. Supports sata 6gb/s. USB 3.0 support. D-sub and DVI video ports. UEFI Bios. Sturdy PCB, quality capacitors.

Cons: Frustrating harddrive behavior. Have a Mushkin Enhanced Chronos SSD as main drive and a backup WD sata drive and optical drive mounted. I set the SSD (plugged into port 1) as the first boot device and all works for a week when the boot order spontaneously changes. BIOS still sees the SSD, but I cannot change the boot order back to the SSD (can choose in boot override, though) first without resetting the board to optimized defaults. Flashed the bios to most current bios, but no fix.

Other Thoughts: One user said it does not have integrated video and you need to buy another video card...while technically true, the video is integrated into the CPU with the FM1 processors so you do not need a dedicated video card for a simple desktop PC.

4 out of 5 eggsVery satisfied overall

Pros: Great value (especially when purchased as part of a bundle, as I did with an AMD A8 3850). BIOS is solid; USB 3.0; excellent quality

Cons: No HDMI; have to be carful when installing power supply, LED and power/reset switches, etc, as the overhang from the screw locations will allow the board to flex with little force; BIOS could be a bit friendlier for OCing.

Other Thoughts: Overall, very satisfied with this board. The cons listed are minimal and far outweighed by the pros IMO.

4 out of 5 eggsGood budget motherboard

Pros: Easily oc an a8, great bios, lots of features included for such a low price.

Cons: Hd audio requires additional hardware. Shouldn't advertise 8.1 surround sound if you cant use it out of the box. Only two dimms so memory capacity is limited.

Other Thoughts: This board would be perfect with 2 extra dimms and the 3 extra audio jacks required for using the surround sound. But it is still a solid board

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent low power board

Pros: 6 Sata III Ports, 32 Gig Memory capacity, MicroATX form factor

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I built an oversized Freenas appliance with this board, a Fractal Design Mini case, An Antec Green Power supply, 16 gig of G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3, an AMD Llano A6-3650, and six Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM001 3TB disks. Performance is phenomenal. I chose the low power AMD over an Atom or Zacate for this build because I wanted a platform that could grow with new ZFS features. I also wanted to be able to saturate a gig connection without a CPU bottleneck.

Core i3 boards and CPU were similarly priced, and had similar performance, but did not have six Sata III ports.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: The UEFI BIOS is really good. I loathe some of the poor UEFI implementations out there, but this one is designed very well.

I installed an Athlon II 641 on it, which worked out of the gate. Next I installed a 64GB M4 SSD, 8GB RAM and a 6670 video card and installed Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate.

Installation of OS and drivers went flawlessly, I haven't seen a single bluescreen or crash out of this machine. BIOS update was easy to do via USB flash drive.

Asus includes two nice SATA cables that have a right-angled connector.

Cons: They could have included at least one USB 2.0 bracket. It's hard to really fault Asus too much, this is a "cheap edition" board so I will not rate it lower for including only the bare essentials.

Other Thoughts: Overall extremely stable board with everything I needed. Onboard sound and ethernet worked right away without troubles. I was really happy about the stsability of the board and the really nice UEFI BIOS.

This is a great board to use for a low or mid-range gaming machine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget board

Pros: Had no problems with this board other than the bios is hard to navigate to advanced mode. Other than that it is a great board.

Cons: none
