1 out of 5 eggsGood... when it works

Pros: Great feature set
Supported a 2600K

Cons: Unreliable
Poor RMA support
Horrendous RMA time

Other Thoughts: I bought my first board right when they came out.
1st board worked, but went through the RMA recall.
2nd board: DOA
3rd board: Worked for 15 months or so
4th board: DOA
5th board: Still waiting on it 1.5 months after 3rd board died.

The quality control and RMA time is simply terrible. While the agents themselves are nice, nothing seems to get done. My fifth board has been in limbo for over two weeks to be shipped out even though it was an "Advanced RMA 2 day shipping" deal. Multiple departments within RMA seem to be involved to send out a replacement, and there seems to be no communication between them.

I'd be hesitant to ever recommend an ASUS product based on their support, which is a shame, as the products on paper are one of the best out there.

/end rant

1 out of 5 eggsworked for 8 months

Pros: right feature set at the right price, attractive board layout

Cons: after 8 months of use board EPROM dies after a system resume suddenly

Other Thoughts: I guess I'm lucky that this probably occurred within a warranty period? will find out later when I call asus.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor

Pros: Good looking, promised features and BIOS

Cons: First one I received did not work from the start. Received a replacement from newegg, not surprises with their good customer support. The second one lasted for 4 months, and when I called ASUS I was amazed by the awful costumer support and by the time they want me to spend without a solution. Worst buy and experience ever.... will not recommend it to my worst enemy.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issue you had with the motherboard.

Were any new hardware installed before the motherboard stopped working? Is there standby LED or do the fans spin at power on? If so, can you try clearing CMOS? Please consider RMA the motherboard by using the following form at: http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx or call 1-812-282-2787.

Pros: nothing it died after 2 months

Cons: died after 2 months

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize that the motherboard failed after such a short time and the inconvenience that this has caused you.

Can you tell me what happened before these boards failed? Was there new hardware added? Was it not able to power on? Is the green standby LED on the boards lit? Have you tried using another power supply. To continue support, please contact me at cl-benson@asus.com reference #C1037-3535. 5 out of 5 eggsI Approve

Pros: Perfectly stable, strong, overclockable motherboard. It's no fun when your mobo gives you problems, and this one has been very good so far.

Cons: The BIOS keeps trying to set my CPU's clock speeds a few MHz above stock whenever I'm not overclocking. It doesn't affect anything, but I don't understand why it just won't set to 3.3 GHz not 3.327 or something.

Other Thoughts: I don't like or dislike the new EFI BIOS. Using my mouse in BIOS feels strange.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy 1 year Birthday P8P67!

Pros: Purchased 7-11-2011. No problems since install and extensive testing. Nice heat sinks / designed well / made well. Easy to overclock. Board did 4.5GHZ without changing RAM timing. Did not try for more as I will be doing video editing with this board. Just wanted to see what it was capable of. Noctua fan fit with no problems. Computer in AZ. Room temp 80 F. Board and CPU run 'ice cold'. Well almost :)

Cons: MOBO says can use PS/2 Keyboard & Mouse. Not with my IBM 'clicky' Kybd, though. Required cold boot followed by warm boot to bring Kybd up. I ended up using a USB Kybd & wireless mouse. 2 days of various memory tests. Most difficult test started to fail RAM after 15 minutes. Repeatable. Suspect RAM timing/RAM overheating as culprit. No RAM problems noted at up to 3.8 GHZ.

Other Thoughts: P8P67 Pro V3.1 MOBO/Intel i7 2600k/16GB Corsair XMS/Geforce GTX460/Antec HGC750 PS/Noctua NH-D14 CPU fan/Cooler Master 932 case/Win7 Pro 64 bit/5x Samsung 'Spinpoint F3" (pre-flood drives. Paid Newegg $49.95 for the last one - free S&H.

Looks like current (last year) of problems happened after my board was slod. I still prefer ASUS. Previously used ABIT mobos - dual Overclocked Celerons in a BP-6 (yeah baby!) until the mobo caps crapped out.

Yes, I did read most of the recent comments. Sounds like a QC control problems. Most likely I would NOT buy this board after reading the recent problems. PS, In case you don't know... there is appears to be no Quality Control in China. You, 'Dear Buyer', are the QC :) Sad, but true.

1 out of 5 eggsMostly DOA

Pros: It looks shiny. Decent paper weight.

ASUS will pay for shipping on the second RMA. Woo...

Polite ASUS tech support on the phone.

Cons: Building a new system and chose this MB, a mistake for sure! DoA, briefly got it working after 40 restarts to install windows and a few games, then BSOD. Kept getting a DRAM LED error with memory that tested fine and was on the ASUS QVL.

I RMA'd it and received the same MB back in the mail, though it said that it had gone through repairs on ASUS's RAM tracking link. Also now the Standby Power LED blinks whenever there is RAM in any of the ram sockets.
So now I am going to RMA for a second time and ASUS is at least sending a prepaid shipping label. Also I am supposed to call and notify them when my MB is on the way, or they will send the same MB back to me. Does that make any freaking sense??? Why would I send it in the first place if I didn't have a problem; mailed with an ASUS prepaid shipping label no less! Seriously.

If they do not give me a refund, working replacement, or a free upgrade, I will never buy another ASUS product again.

Other Thoughts: My last system was a GIGABYTE and worked.

By the time I get to play Skyrim on this system another expansion will be out.

Should have offered prepaid shipping on the first RMA.

2 out of 5 eggsGiving it the Re-boot!

Pros: Started out to be a great MB

Cons: After about a month is started to randomly reboot. It would do that for a couple of days then be ok for a couple of days. Didn't know what to think. Spent the next couple of months re-installing windows, drivers, resetting the whole MB, etc. Followed all the online suggestions. Found it's a problem with these boards so I hope to get a replacement.

1 out of 5 eggsGood board, Terrible Customer Service

Pros: Good board while it worked. After 6 months it started rebooting and failing to recognize the SSD boot drive.

Cons: The Customer Service has been terrible. After a week they still can't tell me when they will ship my refurbished board. I was threatened with a "standard RMA" that would take "at least 3 weeks" and refused access to a supervisor. This is as bad a level of service as I have ever seen. Don't buy an Asus board with the expectation that you will get decent service on a warranty.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about the issues. Please contact us at Newegg_ASUS_MBSupport@asus.com stating all parts used together with RMA case numbers and we will look into this for you.

Regards
ASUS Customer Support
