4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Works as expected.

Cons: Mobo and packaging were so dirty seem not to be "refurbished" but manipulated and used before

1 out of 5 eggsMotherboard RMA FAILURE

Pros: Updating issues from previous review

Cons: Previous review with this one is more than enough con statements.

Other Thoughts: Motherboard came in with NO warranty active and it took 2 months of work on my part to get a request for a motherboard replacement in. Overall 6 e-mails, 7 phone calls (4 calls from today alone) to get something that could have been done literally 2 full months ago.

I went through 5-6 service people and 1 supervisor and what I got in the end of probably 6 hours of time spent over the course of my attempts was: An RMA e-mail. The supervisor offered as compensation the following: Case stickers and a shipping label. So after 2 months I saved $5.00 in shipping and made $0.50 in stickers.

Asus is a joke. Had their products for 10 years and now I get thrown aside with no customer satisfaction. I am furious over the lack of support whereas other companies have offered gift cards, items, or a full refund directly. Logitech even warrantied my MX Revolution mouse ($100+ at the time) and sent me a new one. The best part is they didn't want the old one back.

Advice: Don't risk Asus...

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about the issues. If the board was purchased open box it may have no warranty. All brand new products purchased from Newegg have a manufacturer warranty.

Regards
ASUS Customer Support

1 out of 5 eggsMotherboard Came With Warranty

Pros: No error messages after everything was connected. Seems stable and worked fine with my Revodrive 3X2. Layout seems welldone.

Cons: I received the board November 24th, received it around the 28th. Called and for RMA on December 2nd, and I also e-mailed a second question regarding the RMA process. Replied with information on December 5th. Waited until Dec 14th, no response at all so I e-mailed again. Waited until Dec 28th, no response AGAIN, e-mailed more follow-up concerns. Called Asus on January 20th to be told that my warranty was denied because they think I purchased it in July...

Was told to send in another request and wait a week. Here I am again more than a week later on the phone with a guy saying that my motherboard request was denied again and that I supposedly purchased the motherboard in July. After 6 E-mails and 3 phone calls, I've received NO support on getting my defective motherboard RMA'd. Newegg sent me a defective motherboard with a 90 day manufacturers warranty and I am stuck for more than 2 months trying to replace it.

Other Thoughts: I've used Asus motherboards for the past 9-10 years and to get this motherboard and literally get shafted like I am, it's complete trash. I am very computer savvy and to hear a story like this is a joke. I am not interested in this 'e-mail us' bull that they ask for, I've gotten LITERALLY no responses from Asus and when I call myself I get told that I could be stuck with a trash motherboard.

How about when you sell these motherboards you make sure that your warranty is in effect. I feel as though TWO full months of trying to RMA needs more than just a 'Our mistake', to make it better. Trust has been completely lost for Asus on this scenario. Newegg has sent me every part over the past 5 years just fine, but now the first time I get support through Asus nothing goes well.

If I get a solution, I'll try and post back, but as of now I am disappointed in this service and cannot believe how I am being redirected and told to wait when they give no response.

Complete trash.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus Sabertooth x58

Pros: Brought the motherboard 2 months ago so far no problem. Overclocking is available. Great reasonable pricing. Great warranty/seems very very reliable. Good to get if only looking to have along long lasting mobo.

Cons: Overclocking potenial is ok but not great. Not much water cooling blocks for mobo only universal parts from koolance.

Other Thoughts: Cheap price for a great reliable mobo.

1 out of 5 eggsFixed by asus or recertified

Pros: worked till i sent it to asus

Cons: I had an asus green amd motherboard. Sent it to them for a replair under warrentee. I got it back and it still didn't work, second time i sent it to them i got it returned scratched. Called them many times and got no response.
ASUS don't bother to tell me to call BACK. DID too many times. You where supposed to call me back and never did.

Other Thoughts: So much for a three year warrentee.....
Do yourself a favor go with a evga motherboard they are a better company.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Board was great everything i wanted was there for a good price, I especially liked the preconfigured overclocks for the i7.

Cons: I relied on the supplied sli bridge and it turns out it was defective so i had to order a separate bridge to complete my build.

Other Thoughts: Don't rely on the bridge it comes with.
