4 out of 5 eggsRebate what??

Pros: Not a bad board. Stable. Been running 24/7 in a media server for about 3 months.

Cons: UEFI BIOS is kind of screwy with some displays. Didn't display properly with HDMI out - had to switch to DVI.

Other Thoughts: ASUS rebate claims suck! Ordered OCZ mem at the same time (April 2012). Got the OCZ rebate in no time. Had to call the rebate processing place today, 15 Aug 12 and they "approved" my claim today. There were no issues with the claim, just waiting for some random approval. Then I was notified that it would take 8 to 10 weeks more to receive the AMEX card with the rebate credit. I've owned ASUS for many years but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: Great motherboard, overclocks very easily. First thing i did was upgrade the bios and it has worked flawlessy since

Cons: It didn't recognize my 1866 gskill memory. You can change the timings and find the appropriate settings in the BIOS advanced menu.
Go under Tools-->ASUS SPS Information and you will find the timings you need to set. AFter this everything worked great!

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL
I had to go in and change the memory timings. Here is what I changed them to just incase you have the same issues with this Memory.
Here are the numbers!
CAS# tCL - 9
RAS# tRCD - 11
RAS# tRP - 9
tRAS - 28
tRC - 37
tWR - 14
tRRD - 5
tRFC - 150 (i used 160)
tWTR - 7
tRTP - 7
tFAW - 24
tCWL - 7
Command Rate - 2

Other Thoughts: Great motherboard. I am looking to test out the USB3 sometime soon but i need to get some external harddrives first.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect

Pros: Very stable so far, easy to use/navigate BIOS, overclocking was dare I say, too easy. I hooked everything up and it just worked (might have had to tweak a few things, see below).

Cons: Didn't know before hand, but can't use HDMI and DVI simultaneously, need to use either VGA or display port for 2nd display (been using 2 dvi monitors for couple years now, and just thought I'd need an hdmi>dvi cable for 2nd monitor, but after some searching on why it seemed to be one or the other I found they're not supported at the same time (didn't see it on Asus' site) but it is shown in a table in the manual for the mother board (page 18, at the bottom). So now I need to get a displayport>dvi adapter...

Other Thoughts: Did not detect proper timings for Ram, had to specify each one (not just the 10-11-10-30, but around 12 timings), the numbers though were easy to find in another area of the bios, just had to write them down and go back to manually set them and it detected properly upon rebooting. I didn't list this as a con because it is fixable, and only a minor issue that once set, shouldn't be a concern again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat F1 Board! Rock Solid!

Pros: Rock solid board, has the new standard UEFI BIOS interface with full mouse support, tons of bells and whistles, blue color of heatsinks and other board parts looks good, fan headers placed in good spots for rear exhaust and front intake fan setups, ASUS Quality! Full size ATX board that uses 3rd row of standoffs (requires a decent size ATX case to fit)

Cons: Expensive compared to some of the competition (but you get what you pay for!), Full size ATX board that uses 3rd row of standoffs (it is what my customer wanted, but a full size ATX motherboard sort of seems like overkill for an APU implementation that should be used mainly in smaller builds (mATX and smaller).

Other Thoughts: Bought a Gigabyte before this, huge mistake. Wound up returning it after major headaches with random lockups. Got my ASUS board and haven't looked back! This is a really good F1 board and seems that ASUS has the only reliable PCB in town when it comes to the F1 socket.

5 out of 5 eggsmore than I know what to do with

Pros: So many features you need a degree to know how to use them all. eufi bios is nice to look at. Has automatic overclock features and mem ok button.

Cons: So many features you need a degree to know how to use them all. I don't have one :( I cant get my corsair mem rated at 1866 MHz to run at that speed and overclock the cpu? Automatic overclock feature overclocks the cpu well but underclocks the mem to 1600?

Other Thoughts: It might be user error

amd a8 cpu
corsair vengeance 1866 mem

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent board for APU system!

Pros: This board has tons of awesome features and is very well built. It has nice heatsinks for the southbridge and power regulation system, a great VRM for stable voltage control and overclocking, several energy modes, all the display connections you need, a bunch of USB 3.0 ports, an internal serial COM port, and much more. The UEFI BIOS supports mouse and keyboard control and is really slick. The BIOS also has a flashing tool built in so you can flash a new BIOS without Windows or a BIOS boot disk. The overclocking tools are easy to use and work well. The latest BIOS update adds GPU overclocking for the A8-3870K APU which has an unlocked GPU multiplier. And for $99 with a mail in rebate, the price is excellent. This is my first ASUS board of my own, and I bought it based on the quality of several of their other boards I've used in the past on the school robotics team.

Cons: The BIOS it came with did not support GPU overclocking, but it did detect my A8-3870K as such and booted up. No real cons of any sort with this awesome board.

Other Thoughts: I'm using an A8-3870K and 8GB 2x4GB DDR3 1866 G-Skill Sniper RAM with this board. I bought it for a Linux home server which is running Ubuntu 12.04 on a 160GB notebook boot drive and has 3 1.5TB Samsung HD154UI's in software RAID-5 configuration. I replaced an older Sempron single-core board with this as my server was sluggish, transfer speeds over Gigabit Ethernet went from 5-10MB/s to 30-80MB/s and it is amazing. While I didn't buy it for gaming, I can reasonably play most Source games on Wine using the Catalyst driver as well as Minecraft and Nexuiz at great frame rates. I've got it overclocked to 3.4GHz CPU and 900MHz GPU on the stock cooler. USB works fine in Linux, though I have no USB 3.0 devices to test that with.

4 out of 5 eggsNo USB 3 power connector

Pros: There is no cable supplied to connect your USB3 to the power supply this I find very strange which leaves all my USB3 unworkable.

Cons: I would have given 5 eggs but no workable USB 3 and no cable to connect to the power supply. I've always had good luck with ASUS in the past this distrubs me.

4 out of 5 eggsgood board, not everything works properly

Pros: This board is a recommended board for the processor I purchased. I am happy with it overall. Lot of options and USB3. I am pleased with how it is performing and would recommend it to anyone getting the quad core APU.

Cons: No PATA connector (something I missed when looking at it). Like someone else wrote, not all the USB3 ports work. Finally got the right drivers installed and only two of the four ports on the back of the board worked.

Other Thoughts: It is unknown to me at this time if the onboard USB3 ports work. Someday I will know when I add a front port option to my case.
