1 out of 5 eggsUnstable

Pros: None

Cons: Unstable board, Asus Suite software is a joke, bios updater does not work. Customer support is a joke.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about your experience with this motherboard. Please contact us for support at 1-812-282-2787 or email me at cl-benson@asus.com (with system setup and configuration) at your earliest convenience to discuss the issues mentioned above. BIOS update can be applied using our built-in EZ Flash utility in UEFI > Advanced > Tools in addition to our Update utility in AI Suite II. We suggest loading the BIOS defaults for best stability.

Regards,
Benson

1 out of 5 eggsGreat board, service HORRIBLE

Pros: When the board worked, it worked well. Easy to navigate the UEFI for your overclocking needs. Seemed like a sturdy board, I think I just received a faulty one.

Cons: SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!

Ran solid for 3 months. Then one day of memtest86+ and the board dies in the middle of it. Would not post, and CPU LED came on. tried all the tricks, to no avail. Decided to RMA the board.

3 weeks later they email me with a picture of a scratch on the back of the PCB, less than a mm, nowhere near any components or wires. they called it "trace damage" and will replace my motherboard for only 190 dollars.. Being this thing cost me 270 originally, I'm not impressed with their service.. I went with a different z68 board.

Other Thoughts: offers great products.. most of them reliable.. If you buy anything from them, pray you dont have to RMA.

1 out of 5 eggsasus customer support

Pros: good motherboard as are asus products are. I have had a lot
of asus products and have like them all but.

Cons: I had this motherboard for a little over month when the ethernet port went bad witch happens to all things made by man. It was RMA back to asus they had it for two months. I could not get any info on its status or if they had even received the motherboard. Then out of the blue it came back. It was put back in my computer, and the computer did not have any video. So after five hours and a call to asus it was decided that to RMA it back for a replacement a week ago. Went to asus RMA website for an update on the status of the replacement and could not get a status. Called the service center the person was clueless, could not get any info about the board without the ups tracking number not the RMA number.

Other Thoughts: good products but their customer support sucks big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 out of 5 eggsHad to happen sometime

Pros: When it works - very fast & lots of ports for everything.

Cons: First board RMA'd for RAID failures (disks & cables known good from another installation). Second board now has bluescreens. I've built a fair number of systems using ASUS components, and never had a problem until now. Of course, I went 2 days over the 30-day newegg time limit for returns, so had to deal directly with ASUS on this. What a PITA! "Slow" doesn't begin to describe their level of service. Definitely going to be trying out other vendors after this.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Great Board. Started right up, and I can't say enough of how much I love Asus's Bios. Love that it has 3.0 and Ivy bridge capable.

Cons: I just wish SLI would be 16x16.

3 out of 5 eggsIndifferent

Pros: Let me just say that the end product works correctly, as advertised does what it's supposed to. BIOS is.. different, I personally enjoy the older BIOS more because that's what I'm used to but I'll get used to this. It's allowing less than experienced people to do things such as overclock without any knowledge of what they are actually doing. Booted up first shot with 8gigs of corsair memory and crucial m4 ssd. Currently have a 2500k overclocked to 4.4 on water no problem at all - will push further soon, still wrapping head around BIOS.

Cons: Received first board with dried flux/deflux/rosin all over the back of it. Understandable considering the quantity of boards ASUS makes, figured rather than cleaning it myself I'd RMA it with newegg for something that was of new quality. RMA went smooth and newegg helped me out with shipping charges (thanks newegg). Received second board hopeful to install the 2500k that had been sitting on my desk for over a week and ended up with the same residue all over the back of the board. Obviously it must have been a bad 'batch' - however the lack of QC on ASUS' part is disappointing. This was something that stood out and a simple glance at the back of the PCB would have (or should have) stopped these boards from reaching a retail shop. I work on PCB's for a living and understand things like this can happen but makes it painfully obvious the people working for this company are either blind or don't care enough about their products to stop something like this from leaving.

Other Thoughts: At the end of the day I ended up having to scrub the board myself and finish ASUS' job cleaning the board. It wasn't worth my time and effort to send it back to newegg for a second time as they had nothing to do with the quality of what was in the box. Another note, both of these boards and my last ASUS board (PX58D) have been warped to the point where all of the holes wouldn't even rest on the standoffs. I have a feeling ASUS quality control is going down the drain, it's obvious by their products as of late from reading around (granted it's not all 100% true). Point is, a customer should expect a like new quality piece when they open the box, not something that slipped though the cracks. While it is understandable it's still less than satisfying to a paying customer. ASUS better step up their game or they are going to lose customers. Will probably search for alternatives next time around.

*Wish newegg only allowed people who actually bought the products to review them on their sit

5 out of 5 eggsBlazin Amazin

Pros: This board is just right if you know what your doing. No need for A surround card. Plethera of SATA, USB, and other little nooks and crannies. Put it in a Nice case, You owe it to your self.

Cons: N.O.N.E.

Other Thoughts: Screw what people said about bent pins or any other BEEP. They didnt know what they were doing. If you are an amateur get help, OR make a quadruple heXX even a 7 time check over before you install any piece of equipment into any slot! I fix other peoples problems and it cost them more in my time than the time they could have saved by doing it the correct way. NOTE: never buy a refurb, and there is a slight chance that something can be wrong from manufacturing however these are precisely calculated machines doing the build I rarely see a defective new board. HAPPY BUILDING!!!!!
