5 out of 5 eggsAn excellent motherboard for an excellent price!

Pros: The motherboard is very well designed with a logical layout, the ports are all located in easy to access locations and the SATA connectors have plenty of clearance even for large video cards.

Cons: The only real con I can think of is the VRM's could be a little more robust for overclocking, but it got my 3670k and ram overclocked just fine.

Other Thoughts: If you want an FM1 motherboard that supports crossfire and are on a budget, you can't do much better!

3 out of 5 eggsPS/2 port malfunction

Pros: For the price, the mobo has performed to the standards I expected. I do not use the on-board graphics card so I cannot testify to its reliability. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Cons: The PS/2 ports never worked. Apparently I am not the only customer who has experienced the problem. This is not a major issue considering I already used a usb mouse, and found a twenty dollar usb keyboard.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear that the port didn't work properly. If you have any issues in the future, make sure you send the unit in for service within your warranty period so you won't have to pay for any service charges.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your purchase.

If you have any questions or comments you can email me at cl-jeffrey@asus.com which I reside in the U.S

5 out of 5 eggsGreat motherboard

Pros: Easy setup, and good overall performance. Asus quality is evident even in a somewhat budget board as this.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these for a home business along with a lower end A4 cpu, 4GB Kingston Hyper X Blu, and a SSD. Happy with the performance and would purchase again.

Pros: asus good bang for the buck with rebate and 15 card from newegg if i get it

Cons: older model should be less expensive. very difficult to insert main power plug but could be my corsair psu

Other Thoughts: manual is generic but not a problem for me only 4 pin cpu connector

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Had to find a mobo for a very specific need, this one fit the bill, long time fan of Asus, so it was a slam dunk to get it. Set up was (as usual) with Asus easy, worked immediately, no problems, love it, it is great. Buy one! (or two). I will definitely be buying another one soon (or two)

Cons: uh... not madly in love with Asus new gui bios screen. I figured it out, it's fine, I just prefer the text based bios, I must be getting old!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for basic & advanced gamer!

Pros: First thing I noticed right off was the quality of the motherboard. The layout is very well done. Plenty of extra ports and options for almost any type of setup. It runs very cool, BIOS is so easy to setup. But if you are like me and want to tweak with it you have tons of options. I am running 64bit Windows 8 Pro on this without a single problem. For the money, you can't beat it!

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsnot bad for budget but short life span for casual use.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Owned it for about 4 months. Died today.

Other Thoughts: Board itself was more than capable for everyday use/moderate gaming.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear that the motherboard didn't last as long as you expected.

Because you are still under the warranty, you can send the motherboard in for service if you like.

3 out of 5 eggsNot up to usual ASUS standards

Pros: Cheap, it's ASUS, it works.

Cons: The board, a manual (with errors!)... that's it. No front panel quick connect (really nice when you have used one), no cables whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I was used to ASUS boards coming with the quick connect so I didn't have to fiddle with fitting in those small connectors. Also was used to a Serial ATA or two included... nope, not this one. The manual is off with some locations of connectors. I'm used to better than this from ASUS, even if I'm doing a cheap build.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your feedback. The F1A55-M LE, when purchased new, should have the following accessories:

User's manual
I/O Shield
2 x SATA 3Gb/s cable(s)

If you did not receive any of the above, please contact me at cl-benson@asus.com (reference #C1037-8003 in the email subject line).

There is no Q-Connector (front panel quick connector) available on this board.

Benson

1 out of 5 eggslasted about 5 boot ups

Pros: decent layout and would have suited my needs

Cons: booted about 5 times before the board died. I replaced all other parts into another machine and they all work perfectly. Spent a few hours going through normal troubleshooting (change out ram, gpu, re seat everything, etc) as well as all manufacturer recommendations for when the POST will not display.

Now placing an RMA. 8 dollars to have it shipped here, and 13 to ship it back (through newegg...cuz that makes sense to be different both directions when purchased through the same company). I'm now out 20+ dollars on a 60 dollar board......

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the issue you had with the motherboard. We suggest checking your power connections from the PSU, and try clearing CMOS. If you've received a replacement and have trouble getting your system setup running, please contact me at cl-benson@asus.com (reference #C1037-7726 in the email subject line) and I'll be happy to assist you. Thank you.

Benson
