1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: DOA out of the box. After having read all the comments about refused returns because of bent pins I took extra time and attention to examining the pins with a magnifying glass before I installed the CPU - found no damaged pins at all. Turned on once but gave a distorted BIOS screen so I shut it down and restarted hoping that it would self-correct. From that point on: no pic, no nothing. Called ASUS technical support and after some tests the gentleman told me that I received a dud and should get an RMA from Newegg.
Now my new build is set back at least a week - and the clock is ticking on all the other new parts' warranties - there is no way to find out what is working or not without a functioning Mobo.

Other Thoughts: I am wondering why Newegg charges the customer for shipping DOA products back with an RMA? It isn't the customer's fault, it isn't Newegg's fault - shouldn't the manufacturer/distributor pay for shipping their dud back and forth? Maybe such a policy would emphasize the importance of QC to them.

1 out of 5 eggsNewegg customer service= rediculous

Pros: Overall I was pretty happy with the mobo. The bios is super easy to use.

Cons: The bios had an issue and it wouldnt let me overclock past x42. So i had an RMA issued to get a replacement as i have heard other people have a similar issue..no big deal

This is where the Newegg drama begins.

I had used the mobo for about 2 weeks before I sent it in.
I had to call newegg as they did not give me any update on what was taking so long. I call them and they tell me they recieved the mobo with damaged cpu pins.
I know for a fact they were pefectly fine because i had been using the mobo with no other issues other than a bios setting.

Well after arguing with the rep they agree to send me a new one. A week goes by and I recieve my OLD mobo back. They sent it back without the proctective cover on the pins..which was there when I sent it to them. The CPU pins were SMASHED. I call them up the rep claims they dont know why they sent me the old mobo back and has to issue another rma so i can send it back again.
I let the rep know about how they sent it back without the cover over the cpu slot pins.

If newegg hadn't agreed to replace the mobo I would have gotten back a destroyed mobo and the rep procedes to tell me it doesnt matter if they did or not, that the mobo was no good.
Even if a mobo was damaged newegg has no right to damage the mobo further and then say it doesnt matter.

All in all this has been a huge hassle and I am very disappointed in the way newegg has handled the situation.

5 out of 5 eggsGood motherboard

Pros: Great board. Has all the features I want. Got it running at 4.4 ghz on an Intel I5-2500K processor. Could go higher but don't have a need to.

Cons: Had a problem initially with it being able to read my DVD drives. After updating bios to the latest one (The board had the original bios, version 0316 installed), everything works great. Had a problem with Newegg which I will describe below.

Other Thoughts: Very disappointed with Newegg on this order. I ordered the new motherboard, paying the full price of $149.99 for it. The one I received was open box. The package I received did not have the clear cellophane wrapping around the box, and the bag containing the motherboard was not sealed. I was prepared to return the board when I saw this, but it worked great after updating the old bios. Newegg, I have been a loyal customer for many years, buying ALL of my electronic/computer needs from you. I expect better than this. If it happens again, I will find another retailer for my needs.

5 out of 5 eggsNew Build

Pros: Great mother board, everything was easy to install on it. Shipping was great. The soft ware that came with it is great. Al Suite ll is really nice.

Cons: The only con I have and not enough to take away an egg is that the new tower I got came with a fire wire connection and the mother board does not support it. Don't really need it but would be nice to have. Maybe will get and expansion card to plug in my fire wire connection.

4 out of 5 eggsRound 2...so far so good :)

Pros: Great price, wonderful layout, amazingly accessible BIOS, reset button on MoBo, plenty of space for expansions

Cons: NIC popped on first board within 10 min of use, everything else worked fine.

Other Thoughts: Newegg quickly replaced the first faulty board. Installed and have had it running now for 2 days, no issues...yet. Fingers crossed.

Otherwise, very nice MoBo for the price. Easy to install and it has great spacing for components. Again, the BIOS is easy to navigate and use. Clearly labeled entries and the option to go basic or advanced is good for beginners.

2 out of 5 eggsTotal disappointment

Pros: good board in theory

Cons: Hi all, please excuse my english, I will start by saying that I have experience with asus boards over 8 years ago, I've had of all generations to where the budget has allowed me, and all the chipset, nvidia, ati, amd, intel, I'm fan number one of them and so far I have never had any problem, write to the forum to see if anyone can help me, I hope so, well, now I have a P8Z77-V LE board, not more than two months of use, the processor is an i5 3570K, Kingston HyperX RAM is 8Gb 2133 GHz (which jurisdiction consistent with the board from the beginning), GTX660ti 3Gb EVGA graphics, a 64GB SSD Crucial M4 factory with latest firmware, SEAGATE BARRACUDA 2TB HDD, PSU Cooler Master 52A GX650, well everything is new, to get the plate first thing I did was update the BIOS, because I knew from past experience that BIOS update on those plates Z77 represents a substantial change in the characteristics and performances, well well so I detail everything is well understood what I mean, at first everything perfect, perfect overclock to 4.6 Gb with 1.26 Vcore, the memories of 2186 MHz, (I was always make overclocking enthusiast and know enough of the subject, I have the thermaltake frio) all made with ASUS Turbo V and only played a little offset voltage in the BIOS. So far so good, perfect, happy.
Well it is that I do not know what problem the BIOS settings are erased me, or is of any moment just like that I was the optimized settings to default, I had not saved the ASUS OC Profile configuration and I again TurboV resorting to that is the tool I use because I always seem wonderful, good to know you have used that option is used when she first set extremely rapid and then start doing the testing to carry the most capable, good this time never made it out of the first set, began turning off and on without stopping, turn off the power when the call button CPU Parameter Recall and eventually started not see the SSD, I did all that was imaginable, clear cmos, removed battery, I disconnected all hardware, remove the CPU and put it again, the ram, well all I can do in such a case, chart, well everything, and what was my main surprise when I took the graphics card and connect the monitor to hdmi board and nothing beep lack of graphics, iGPU not recognize me any, as if the process had no graphics processor, all options in the BIOS that have to do with it disappeared, but that's not all, in the end when I managed using CSM to recognize the SSD, the first thing I got was ¨ the VGA card is not supported by UEFI driver ¨, amazing never seen it, when I enter BIOS I realize that all overclocking options disappeared, everything is like a H67 but without video, I can not climb over 1600 ram Mhz when I want to at least the option XMP to work at 2133 MHz left on me MemOK! button and I have to drive it to boot and put back to 1333 MHz, the most I can do is put the manual option and make them micro 1600 Mhz and leave it as is because I can not change the BCLK and multiplier options no

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the issue you had with the motherboard. If ASUS CPR came on at POST, it means that there was a incompatible BIOS setting and the board recovered itself allowing the motherboard to function normally. Please try entering BIOS, load defaults (F5), save and exit. Re-enter BIOS and verify that the settings are indeed returned to defaults. If you were using AI Suite TurboV to overclock the system, please either turn stock settings or unload the module and continue tests. To continue support, please contact me below. Thank you.

1 out of 5 eggsBoard won't post, only error codes

Pros: n/a

Cons: Fresh build with I5 3350P Ivy Bridge (and thermal paste) and 1X 8gb CORSAIR Vengeance 1600 Ram stick. Using a new 550W power supply and the on-board video, the new computer will only spin the fans, light up, and give one long/three short beeps.
After user guide and online research and clearing the CMOS/battery/etc, I tried using the on-board VGA, DVI, and HDMI with three different monitors as well as re-installing the memory in each slot. Still same error codes. I then tried other online suggestions with different RAM (also on ASUS QVL) to the same end result.
There are no bent pins and great care was taken with assembly on this board (like the dozen plus others I have built).

Other Thoughts: I have since sent my father in law home without his new computer till I can get this resolved with newegg. Others may have had good luck with this board and I may have just received a faulty part. I will update my post if things can be resolved, but have already missed one deadline due to this ASUS board.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

While most Intel Core CPU's have integrated graphics on chip, the i5 3350P does not (http://ark.intel.com/products/69114/Intel-Core-i5-3350P-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_30-GHz), therefore the onboard video outputs will not be utilitized. Please either install video card or install a CPU that has integrated graphics (non "P" parts) to use onboard video. If you have any questions, please contact me below. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Satisfied

Pros: This motherboard is great! I was able to understand the product documentation, which explained all of the ports and connectors that the motherboard had, and even showed how to connect your components to the motherboard. I was happy that in the box were also 4 SATA cables. Very impressive. It's very consistent with performance, offers a solution to decrease boot time, and has fan connectors with software to control them. ASUS software is good, too. Although some of the interface is a bit silly, namely the arrows that hide part of the window when clicked. ASUS has a YouTube page with video instructions explaining how to do common tasks with motherboard installation. As a first time builder, I was very impressed with ASUS for all they had to offer.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I got this motherboard with 8GB Corsair Vengeance memory as a gift for the purchase. I was very happy to have the cost of the RAM taken off the price of my total build with this deal.

ASUS included a DVD with drivers and software on it. It was very nice to have, but I didn't get a DVD drive with my build and I won't in the future. I managed to pull the ISO off and move it to my computer from another computer that had a DVD drive, but I found that the software was "incompatible" because I was running Windows 8. However, ASUS had their support website that I got to with my other computer that I managed to get all the software and drivers from. Good save.
