5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: Motherboard is extremely reliable, and haven't had a single issue from the time it was installed. The BIOS is easy and intuitive. It also Pairs with my GPU rather well, even though I have an AMD gpu on an Intel chipset.

Cons: Older board
Only 1 PCI express 3.0 port

Other Thoughts: Overall, this Motherboard is extremely reliable and I haven't seen any problems. Runs my games, and my VPN without any issues. I'm currently running an i5 3770k processor overclocked at 4.23 GHz and a SAPPHIRE 100364-4GL Radeon R9 270X 4GB 384-Bit GDDR5 GPU. That paired with Gskill ripjaws memory giving me a total of 16GB of ram at 2400 MHz is nothing to snicker at. I'm running my ram at only 2133MHz, and I can run games like Sniper Elite 3, Sonic Generations, and Borderlands 2 on ultra settings without my system never dropping below 37 FPS, Most games give me 1080P at 60-80 FPS. All in all, this board was great for my first build, and I look forward to upgrading to another Asus board in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far all good but,

Pros: easy to set up and everything fits well easy to find connections and seems to not be working all that hard so far.

Cons: For some reason even though I only connected my SSD in the disk 0 slot and loaded windows 8.1 after I installed the HDD the bios want to boot from the HDD which is in the disk 1 slot now. Doesn't make any sense the only place to find windows is on the SSD. works ok now but at first I had to go to the bios and switch it back to the SSD for booting keeps trying to boot from the HDD???

3 out of 5 eggsIt's a great board, but should have gone cheaper

Pros: Solid construction. Looks OK. Got it my old i5 2500k stable @ 4.5ghz without a sweat. The auto oc feature works surprisingly well if you like that sort of thing.

Cons: Although it runs great, I cannot seem to get any of the software it came with to work. For whatever reason, I can't even get the apps on the CD it came with to even begin to install. Which is where my main problem comes in. I could have bought a cheaper board, but I wanted to try messing with lucid virtu mvp or whatever you call it. All I get is errors. My igpu will not even recognize unless my discreet card is unplugged, which was never an issue with my 3 year old x68 board. Overall, it's an upgrade, but I'm not sure it was worth the extra $20 or $30 for the extra features that don't seem to work. I suppose I could reformat and try again, but that's a huge pain and I already have it set up the way I like. Kind of bums me out.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Motherboard

Pros: I purchased this motherboard as it's similar to a previous one that I used in my last computer build. It's easy to use and set up even for first timers.

In comparison to the motherboard that this one was purchased to replace, the GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard, which I had nothing but problems with from the time I opened the box, it's infinitely better.

As for this motherboard, it has easy to use BIOS and simplistic adjustments if you're looking to squeeze a bit more power out of your hardware for gaming. I would certainly recommend this line to those looking to replace their motherboard or build a new PC.

Cons: I'm happy to say that there are none so far.

3 out of 5 eggsBent pins

Pros: Not sure, bad before it came out of box.

Cons: Opened box, and wrapping had CPU cover loose inside. Not a good sign, pulled out of the wrapping and you could clearly see there are 2 bent pins on the motherboard. Called newegg and did not install anything or unwrap the cords etc. They are sending me an RMA box to return, meanwhile it's out of stock so I had to purchase another MB. Newegg did a great job of wrapping, and box had no sign of damage meaning it left Asus like this. Never had an issue before but this is a pretty big one. Also item was not refurbished and did not have a quality control sticker I had to cut through on the box or plastic wrapping which seems unusual. There is not one on the box anywhere.

Other Thoughts: How can quality control at Asus let this leave the factory without even the CPU cover being on there and loose in packaging, isn't that supposed to be a piece that is clamped down by the arm?

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT MB

Pros: The Bios is very windows like and user friendly yet contains very powerful options to tweak to your preference.

Cons: No Blue Tooth / No wireless

Other Thoughts: I bought this MB over a year ago, and it still performs on high extreme levels. Can take any game I throw at it. This MB does not run hot either. I was interested enough because it allows me to upgrade later on.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks, Good Design

Pros: Features, Asus AI Suite, seems well built

Cons: Wish I would have bought the Pro version

Other Thoughts: Have been using this motherboard for over a year and have had absolutely no issues. Only thing I wish is that had gotten the Pro version so I could use Asus wifi go feature but other than that I have been perfectly satisfied with it.

Would recommend for anyone, I am currently using it in a gaming pc build and its been working great.

3 out of 5 eggsHelpful hint

Pros: It is an Asus mobo which is normally a good thing.

Cons: With reguards to RMAs... don't be silly or lax about documentation. Today's digital cams on cellphones take excelent photos. CYA... always take photos of mobos and other items being returned. Make sure to take pics of their cpu pins prior to sending it back on a RMA. Print a copy of the pics and send them in with the mobo to show you have not bent the pins and have photos to back it up.

4 out of 5 eggsASUS P8Z77-V LE

Pros: -Price
-Speed [Native USB 3.0 SATA III]
-User friendly (GUI)
-Easy Installation

Cons: -Compatibility [See "Other thoughts"]

Other Thoughts: This has been a solid motherboard and I am very pleased with my purchase. There have been a few compatibility issues with the board though. Most notably USB compatibility. My favorite mouse [GIGABYTE M6800] did not work no matter what I did (Mobo/mouse drivers, UPnP, etc.) so unfortunately I had to buy a similar mouse style and settle for that. Other USB devices such as card readers and keyboards failed to respond when plugged into the mobo USB ports. Again, different models would be fine - rather confusing, but still a very solid mobo. Overclocking is a breeze too, the GUI is very user friendly and intuitive. Been running the system below for 2-years with no trouble.

CPU: Intel i5-3570 [Stock 3.4-3.8GHz]
Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V LE [Intel Z77 chipset]
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series [2x8GB, 1600MHz, 9CAS]
GPU: EVGA GTX770 SC [BIOS 2, 1215MHz Core]
SDD: Crucial M4 [128GB, SATA III]
PSU: SeaSonic M12II 620W
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212+
Disk Drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST
Case: Corsair Carbide 500R [Black]
Mouse: Logitech M500
Keyboard: Logitech G15
Monitor: ViewSonic VA2431WM 24" 1080p
