ASUS M4A88T-V EVO AM3 AMD 880G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: None

Cons: This board worked for about 3 months before it bricked. I've sent the board back twice for repair with ASUS "repairing" it each time for it to only last about a week. Each time it bricks will not post. ASUS customer service is just as bad. IF you can get a hold of a live person they are not much help either. ASUS will not replace the board with a new model even after 2 attempts to fix this one, they keep trying to repair. Won't buy another ASUS board.

Pros: Has alot of nice features

Cons: It worked for all of maybe 3 days. I sent to Asus via RMa it came back still didnt work. Had a phenom II 555 cpu and radeon 4770 4 dimms of mushkin 1600mhz ram. It turns on does not post. Bought a second cpu does same thing so now I own two 555's and have a junk board that I seem to have wasted money on and got a run around by Asus.

We apologize for the issue you had with this motherboard. Please try a simplified configuration below and test to see if the board can POST:

CPU,
1 DIMM front your 4 DIMM kit
Plug your monitor to the onboard video HDMI/DVI/VGA

Also, plug a 4-pin speaker to the system panel (lower right corner) and monitor for beep codes when you turn on the computer:

1 long beep and 2 short beeps = memory issue
1 long beep and 3 short beeps = VGA issue

Also, try clearing CMOS. Turn off the computer. Turn the switch on the back of the power supply to OFF, or unplug from the outlet. Wait about 10 seconds until the standby LED goes out. Move the jumper from positions 1 and 2 to 2 and 3 for 10 seconds, and move back to 1 and 2. Power on the computer.

Pros: it can turn on?

Cons: always have had trouble with anything to do with amd products from any manufacturer. asus makes great mobos but if your lookin for hassle free hardware steer clear of amd products.

Pros: clean board, easy install CPU, SATA III, 2 USB3 ports, supposedly easy overclock and unlock extra core CPUs, 4 DIMM slots, HDMI port

Cons: Never boots, New MB, CPU, RAM. ASUS support is terrible. Everything is by email with nebulous answers from unknowledgeable techs. Theoretically chat is available but in 2 weeks have never been able to access chat nor find any phone support. Have FX-8320 CPU AM3 compatible, but cannot get a definite answer if MB supports CPU

Other Thoughts: I have in the past used 3 or 4 ASUS MB with great results and readilly available help if needed. New items from from ASUS are very unreliable. I will go back to Biostar (great support, good products).

Pros: Very easy to install, no hard to reach standoff mounts!
Nice overclocking features.
BIOS is easy to configure, and loaded with features.
Nice onboard audio, and HDMI out.
Plenty of cooling on board, runs at good temps.

Cons: Radeon HD 4250 is very weak in 3D performance. 4.2
Windows rating.
Front panel connector pin labels are a little hard to read on the board.

Other Thoughts: Good motherboard. Great BIOS. Weak video card.

Pros: i bough this board open box: Great Color,Solid Board And Capacitors.

Cons: Didn't come with heat sink plate -1 egg for that. but i bought it open box so i can't blame newegg

Other Thoughts: maybe newegg shouldn't sell open box items.

Pros: This is my 1st build and I can't imagine the initial installation & setup being any easier! The bios made unlocking the cores simple and pretty much did everything else for me.

Cons: None what-so-ever!

Other Thoughts: I never would have imagined myself building a system from scratch. Now that I've done it, I can't imagine that I will ever go back to a pre-built, assembly line type of computer. I didn't realize how much the "Big" PC companies throttle down the cpu's abilities. This computer handles everything so much better & faster than before... just from replacing the mother board.

Pros: Everything works but sound.

Cons: No matter what I do, all I get is "speakers are not plugged in," when in fact they are. I see this under playback devices, and on the sound icon in the system tray. Asus is total and utter garbage. Third board in a row that has bugs like this.

Pros: Worked on first try, no errors, easy to setup, lots of space to work with, great configuration, fantastic price! Lots of extras and all the software included. Even makes cd for raid config for windows setup.

Cons: NONE

Pros: To be honest, I just wanted something cheap with onboard video so I didn't have to buy a card. Didn't have any problems with this motherboard.

Cons: None.
