5 out of 5 eggsSurprised to say the least.

Pros: Has been running a 3570k with varying, intense overclocks for over a year now. Awesome board. Z77, good price for the vast amount of features and power capabilities in MicroATX form.

Cons: Asus does some weird things with their layouts sometimes but with this board it was minimal so I have no complaints. I guess it could have used more USB 3.0 ports considering Gigabyte has almost every port on their boards USB 3.0 and is probably going to abandon 2.0 altogether.

Other Thoughts: I am an Asus fanboy, but I started getting weary of their motherboards during the Core2 days and I started noticing corners being cut with the PCBs. Then I recently had a similar standard ATX board from Asus come DOA and it was a nightmare to RMA. A horrible, time and money costing nightmare. After Asus listened to my problem and put me on with elevated techs, they DID fix the problem, but I still feel a little slighted bythe fact that the first time I paid for shipping they didn't even open the ESD bag (i know how to mark stuff). Anyway, no problems with this board, maybe because its mATX and the PCB will sturdy by default, but everything from the heatsinks to the UEFI, it is all quality.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Solid Board

Pros: Asus, what else you want?
Love the BIOS, microATX layout, solid feel, works well.
The intergrated graphics capability is much better than I thought it would be.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have come to fall back in love w/ Asus products again after a rough patch bout 8-10 yrs ago. Upgraded the wife's box w/ this board along w/ an I5 3470 CPU & 8 Gbs DDR3 1600 mem. Didn't have any issues w/ the board...all fired right up! Good product but may be going EOL due to Haswell. As usual Newegg is the one-stop store for me!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Rock solid so far. Runs 24/7 as my HTPC board. I don't use or need most of the fancy features, but I like the fan control.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: With the original BIOS, the bios screen didn't work properly on my 1080p TV, but a BIOS update fixed that.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Put this MB in an economy build for a friend. ASUS makes quality products. There are a couple of more good MB companies, but I use ASUS when I can. No problems with this board.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsBad Board

Pros: None

Cons: Installed board, red ram light came on, swapped ram, light still on, swapped PSU, light still on, pulled CPU and reset, nothing. Tried to RMA, but somewhere during this whole process the CPU pins got damaged, now it's a doorstop.

Thanks, Asus.

Other Thoughts: In all fairness,1st bad board from Asus in 20 builds, will buy more. A little better inspection process in the future, please.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the motherboard. Our motherboards go through rigorous inspection before leaving the factory, and all come with a protective CPU socket cover to prevent accidental damage to the socket pins. We recommend sending the board in for RMA-repair. Unfortunately, this type of damage is not covered under warranty and a standard repair cost will apply. To proceed, please contact us again at 1-812-282-2787 or use the online RMA submittal form at: http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me below. Thank you. Ref: 3258978.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Good

Pros: Working as intended, compact, easy install. Installed in a In Win Dragon Slayer case with I-5 3570K, AMD Sapphire R9 290, EVGA 750 power supply, and 16gb G. 8x2 Skill Sniper, using Cooler Master S524.

Cons: Cons: Only 1 set of front power connectors. I know this is a micro atx board but the heat spreader is right next to main PCI slot and is extremely close to touch graphic card. Lastly I don’t know whether it’s the case or the motherboard but the holes to secure to case are not lined up well. I know that they never seem to be but more so on this board or case.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA twice

Pros: None

Cons: DOA twice.
Receieved two off these motherboards and both will not boot at all. The first one i received from a different company. The second one i drove down to newegg to pick up and the same thing. Contacted ASUS tech support and nothing helped, I verified everthing connected correctly and power supply working fine.
I'm out some money and a waste of time for driving down to newegg and now i have to pay to send back something that doesn't work.
Very dissapointed with ASUS quality and do not recommend.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsDoA

Pros: none

Cons: DoA

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

Thank you for reviewing the P8Z77-M motherboard.

It is unfortunate the motherboard arrived DOA. Since you posted this review, have you had a chance to contact Newegg to see what exchange options are available? I would recommend contacting them as soon as possible while within the return period. If the motherboard is outside of the return period and is within the warranty, we can set up a RMA for the defective unit as well. If you would like to set this up, please contact us. Your reference number for this case is 3107727.

1 out of 5 eggswhat could of been an easy fix, turned into a mess

Pros: non

Cons: I ordered the board about two weeks ago with ram, i5 processor and MSI video card, put everthing together using antistatic mat. Turned it on, nothing happened, no light on mouse or keyboard. So I very carefully put everything back into the antistatic bags and put the CPU cover on and shipped it back. Now the RMA is being denied because of pin damage. That bull I took pictures before I sent it off and it had no such damage. Thanks alot newegg

Other Thoughts: Don't trust newegg when it comes to RMA's.
