5 out of 5 eggsUsual Asus Quality

Pros: * I've used Asus boards for years, on at least 20+ Computers.
* Happy wife, happy life (It's in her comp).

Cons: * None

Other Thoughts: * Asus is great until you have an issue. The RMA issues although few over the years have always been bad. Just be aware if that's important when picking a brand.
* No RMA issues or problems with this board though, just mentioning.

1 out of 5 eggspoor board

Pros: none

Cons: had random resets before the end of its life

died within a month of daily use.

no support - check their website. their servers have no files for this board.

Other Thoughts: i never bothered with rma or posting this review since it was such a bad board.
and i replaced it with something else

there was no support on their website for this board. their customer service rep only responded to 1 of my emails about the boards problems which didnt help at all.

dont waste your money theres better motherboards made by better manufacturers

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear that no one supported you when you needed assistance. You say you were having random resets, did you try another PSU to see if that was the issue. Also did you try only using one stick of RAM to see if you were able to boot and POST.

Here is a link below that will support your motherboard. If you go to the download tab, that is where you can get the latest bios and drivers.

If you have any questions or comments you can email me again at cl-jeffrey@asus.com which I reside in the U.S

ASUS strives to meet and exceeds our customer expectations within our warranty policy.

Jeffrey

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very good, still not for i7 (only 4+2faze), but U can do it.
Good DDR3 compatibility (almost every RAM is going to work)
LucidVirtu MVP (for gamers usefull but HD2500 at least needed)
lot of plugs, good ASUS software

Cons: Doesn't support ordinary 3pin FAN for CPU cooler. ONLY PWM can be used (otherwise no auto control only full throttle on CPUfan)
only 2 more chassis fans) makes 3 fan tops on board.

Other Thoughts: Great little microATX board

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: This is a great board at this price... had everything i needed and some extra features that were nice to have along with that... my case does have a USB 3.0 on the front I/O panel and that doesn't seem to be working but not sure yet if that is an issue with the case, the board, or me.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: would recommend if someone is looking for these features

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Reasonable price for a basic board. Wasn't planning to overclock, so seemed to fit the bill.

Cons: Could never get the LAN to work at 1 Gigabit after a windows update installed a Microsoft driver. Tried the latest Bios, even earlier Bios versions. Even reformatted and no LAN. Finally called ASUS, and the tech support guy never even let me fully describe the problem before telling me to return it. 5 hours invested, I wanted to make it work. Emailed Realtek support and he had me try a few things I'd already done. After a few emails, he suggested I try a different operating system (was using Windows 7 64bit). Really? That's the answer? Found many references to people with similar problems online and finally found a solution to get a connection at 100 Mbps, but that's all. Finally RMA'd and ordered a different board.

Other Thoughts: Again, many discussions of similar problems online, so this is not an isolated or recent issue.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the issue you had with the motherboard. Please make sure that you are using Cat 5e cable which allows for gigabit speed(Cat 5 can only do 10/100 Mb/s), and that the end device can run at gigabit speed. We suggest using drivers from our website instead of drivers provided by Windows Update. If you still have problems with this issue, please contact me at cl-benson@asus.com (reference #C1037-7277 in the subject line). Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsMind blowing

Pros: I've built alot of gaming computers for myself and friends, but not like this one. The BIOS alone is impressive which gives you real comprehensive control of the main system attributes that a high end computer user would typicaly want control over, such as overclocking. The BIOS makes it simple as could be to do so. The performance is outstanding. Can't say anything about the onboard graphics because I'm using my own GPU. Audio is great (detects if a jack is pluged in) can be set to studio quality. Ethernet is nice and fast.

Cons: Things are kinda compacted but duh, It's a Micro ATX. I guess I just wish things could be orientated different. Such as my GPU card smothers the only 2 PCI slots. Being things are really close together. I'd recommend a well ventalated case. Although the temp. controlled fans have never gone above an idle.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Frills Needed

Pros: Just needed to update my last PC build for business + web use. I don't overclock so the P8B75-M has been the perfect foundation so far. Running the latest 1002 BIOS. Solid as a rock.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: PowerColor HD7750 1GB - Go Green fanless
Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz
Noctua NH-12 CPU Cooler with single fan
Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3 1600
Samsung 830 128GB SATA 3 SSD

2 out of 5 eggsUSB - WakeonLAN

Pros: Seems reliable and fast.

Cons: USB ports to not power down at shutdown. Connected devices remained powered. Unable to get WakeOnLan working.

Other Thoughts: I have this motherboard running on a computer inside a cabinet, a USB fan is connected to it. I want the fan to shut down when i turn off the computer. However, all USB ports remained powered. I can't find the setting in the BIOS to disable this feature. Also, WakeonLAN is set to on, but this board does not respond. It is not my LAN, works on all other computers.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the issue you had with the motherboard.

Can you try the latest BIOS 0812 released 8/14/2012 to see if it addresses the USB port power on issue you experienced? If it is not resolved, please let me know what port the USB fan is connected to (USB 3.0 or USB 2.0).

Regarding WOL, the only option needed for this feature to function is to have Onboard Devices Configuration > Realtek Lan Controller set to Enabled and "Allow this device to wake the computer" checked in Adapter Properties. Do you also see "Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer" option available?

To continue support, please contact me at cl-benson@asus.com. Reference #C1037-5205 in the subject line.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome motherboard

Pros: Everything works out of box. I did not have any problems with it. It works with Ubuntu I am happy. Would I buy this again yes.

Cons: You have to use the cd that is provided. Do not lose that cd if you need it for windows.

Other Thoughts: It is future proof.

5 out of 5 eggsSuits me

Pros: More than all the bells and whistles I'll need plus native support for ivy bridge and reasonably priced.

Cons: I had to add an Asus optical out adapter but that is my fault for deciding late to keep my older non HDMI receiver. Other than that I have no cons for this board.

Other Thoughts: I'm upgrading an HTPC build haven't decided which ivy bridge i3 or i5 I'll eventually use but which ever I chose this board is ready(overclocking aside). I like Asus new bios setup navigation could not be easier. I've never had a problem with Asus boards this is the third one I've owned.
