4 out of 5 eggsReally Newegg?

Pros: This is not a review of the product. It seems to work out well for people as a barebone mobo, it had one less fan then I would have liked but that's something I can work with on a micro-atx board. I would first like to call Newegg out for all the stuff they've put me through as a customer, this is the last time I do business with them. I have never once placed an order with Newegg without having to replace the order. From a gaming headset without a functioning microphone, to a monitor with a dead pixel, to a non-function power supply, to a non-functioning motherboard. Over the years I've lost faith in this company and no longer see a reason to continue business with them. Long story short, with the motherboard I was rma-ing it and accidently bent some pins on the cpu socket while trying to replace the plastic cover. Newegg has labeled the product as damaged beyond repair and is asking me to take it up with Asus to get it fixed. Considering you're the ones who required me to replace the plastic cover which subsequently damaged the product, I'd think you guys would be responsible but I guess not. I'm so done with Shitegg and it's business tactics.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat desktop board

Pros: Is a rock solid desktop board I have deployed on a number of office machines.

Cons: does not release magical smoke

Other Thoughts: Is a great board without a bunch of annoying gamer crud glued to it.

4 out of 5 eggsFuncionando al 100%

3 out of 5 eggsOK I guess. Ideal for very basic builds.

Pros: Small. Has Everything you would need for a small form factor build.

Cons: Absolutely not for larger video cards. My card entirely blocks the sata6 port as well as one of the other ones.

Other Thoughts: Be ready to be confused about your cpu fan plug.
ALL documentation I have come across for this board says it had a 4pin cpu fan plug. Mine came with a 3pin plug (just my luck). It wouldn't be such an issue if it wasn't sitting RIGHT NEXT to another 3pin case fan plug. I cant even plug the 4pin fan into the 3pin port because it will cross over into the other 3pin that's right next to it.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy setup, works right out of the box

Pros: Worked right out of the box, and just like any good motherboard, was easy to assemble.

Cons: I'm still a bit leery since my last motherboard was an ASUS P8B75M-LE, and it started experiencing the dreaded "USB Surge Detected" error that can't be cleared out. I read that this is a common problem with this generation of ASUS motherboards, that even with a PSU swap (which I had done to be sure it wasn't my PSU causing the issue), you still can't clear the error and get it running again. That motherboard lasted me about a year and a half before getting that error. I'm hoping it doesn't happen again with this board.

Other Thoughts: Recently I've been having issues getting a working motherboard to replace my old ASUS P8B75M-LE. I tried getting a different brand of motherboard, and it turned out I had to return it not once, but twice, because each of them because they were DOA. The vendor was kind enough to put a suggestion for testing it after my review, but I had already gone through the motions of testing it to be sure it worked before installing it. So I decided to go back to ASUS. Best part is that this chipset is exactly the same as the LE, so I didn't have to reinstall anything!

4 out of 5 eggsOne perfect, the other no sound

Pros: I purchased two of these for home/office applications for friends. Both boards work very well... one of the perfectly with no issues. The 2nd board had faulty sound, it wouldn't work despite much tweaking. The buyer was in a hurry to get the system, so I was forced to install a really nice HT Omega card that I had. Suddenly the build became much more expensive for me. Docking an egg for that problem.

Cons: Defective/non-working sound on one out of two boards.
The SATA default setting is IDE, even with the newest BIOS! Why in the world would the default be IDE in a modern board? Poor design.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad board if you get it for a good price. But it doesn't hold up to typical ASUS quality.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Stout Mobo

Pros: Runs Great with a fresh install of Windows 7. RAM upgradable to 32 gb! Good Deal for the price!

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Running with a i5 Core processor, 8 gb DDR3 1600 Kingston RAM, 256 gb Samsung Solid State Drive for the Windows 7 OS.

5 out of 5 eggsNo issues here

Pros: I build PCs and this is my go-to board for standard home/office builds.

-Stable, solid performance, good price, no complaints

-In my experience, the Intel XHCI/USB3 controller(which this board utilizes) are the most compatible

-Also love the fact that they left the end of the PCI-E x4 slot open so you can install a longer x8 or x16 card if needed...no need to break out the Dremel

Cons: -Wish it had at least 1 more SATA3 port

-Wish it used all solid capacitors- the most critical/heavily-stressed caps are solid, but there's still a lot of electrolytics on board

Other Thoughts: Not sure what all the other complaints are about, I've used probably close to 100 of these boards over the last year, and only had a few RMAs, no failures after my initial burn-in testing.

IMO a good power supply is crucial to the entire build, I use only Seasonic PSUs. Majority of my builds are office machines which run 24x7, no stability/compatibility/lifespan issues.

I use Windows 8 Pro x64 on 99% of machines, recently switched to 8.1. (I build a stable, updated reference image using Windows ADK then capture and deploy that image to all the PCs I build)

3 out of 5 eggsAgain??!!

Pros: Great features. I series support, 4 slots for memory, USB3 and HDMI.

Cons: OK like the rest of the reviewers I am having problems with stability and the USB3 ports are iffy at best. I checked the BIOS and they are current. Everything else is top quality. If I had bought this from the Egg ide RMA it. Unfortunately I didnt. Asus you and I have been friends for EON'S. I hate to say it but this is number 2 in the problem file. Tell you what instead on doing what ever it is you guys are doing get back to the great quality that we love. Untuil that happens Ill be buying something else. Sorry guys QC is on life support.

Other Thoughts: I have been building Asus board based machines for YEARS. They were always top quality. They arent anymore. When a company like ECS outranks you something is VERY WRONG.

2 out of 5 eggsIssues with BIOS setup and HD/OS compatibility

Pros: Good Motherboard for the price. May work with new Windows 7 or Windows 8 (haven't tried it yet).

Cons: BIOS setup seems complicated when you have to switch between different SATA drives with different Windows OS.

Other Thoughts: Called customer support to help with BIOS setup and did not get helpful or friendly response. So I had to search on the internet for different reviews and BIOS help. The manual that came with the board does not help much.
