1 out of 5 eggstakes 3 weeks to RMA a board.

Pros: N/A

Cons: failed within weeks and the board was sent back for repair. now 3 weeks after, the board is on it's way to me and ASUS messed up my address and they won't even contact fedex to change the address. probably going to have to wait another 3 weeks to get the motherboard back to my client. Dell ships my parts next day.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear that they have shipped to the wrong address. Can you please tell me your tracking number, rma number, and the correct address of where you want it shipped to. I will see what I can do to reroute your package, so you can get it on time. Is the address in the same city and state?

You can email me at cl-jeffrey@asus.com

ASUS strives to meet and exceeds our customer expectations within our warranty policy.

1 out of 5 eggsIt's a lemon

Pros: The specs are amazing for the value.. only if l could use them though...

Cons: Tried several times to determine the issue of no signal from Mobo. Evemnthe TV through HDMI is a no-go! Just no signal... Waiting to call Asus and see if it's actually the motherboard but other reviewers confirmed that it's obviously a known issue.

Other Thoughts: Skip this one if you want a motherboard to work.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the motherboard. Please try the following to troubleshoot no POST / no display scenario:

Check that the power connections, specifically the 24-pin and 8-pin/4-pin are plugged in. Is the standby LED on? Do the CPU or SYS fans spin at power on? If not, try another power supply.

Check that the Clear_CMOS jumper is inserted in positions 1 and 2.

To ensure that memory will work with the motherboard, use memory from our Qualified Vendors List (QVL): http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/F1A75M_PRO_R20/#support_QVL. Try using one DIMM in the recommended slot for a simple test. If the DRAM_LED remains lit, press the MemOK! button immediately after you power on the system to begin memory tuning for successful boot. Your system may cycle several times during this process.

Clear CMOS. Turn off the computer. Switch off PSU, or unplug from the outlet. Wait until the standby LED goes out. Position jumpers from 1 and 2 to 2 and 3 for 5 seconds, then move back to 1 and 2. Power on the system.
Plug a system speaker to the 4-pin speaker panel and monitor for beeps:

1 long beep and 2 short beeps = memory
1 long beep and 3 short beeps = VGA

3 out of 5 eggsNice, but...

Pros: Seems to be a well built board, BIOS is nice, lots of options, reasonable set of USB ports.

Stable in single channel memory mode.

Cons: Nothing I can do to get this board to work in dual-channel memory mode with 2x4GB G.Skill RipJaws X memory (F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL) [N82E16820231455]. The memory works fine in single channel mode (A+A2 or B1+B2) , but fails in 1024 locations in dual channel (A1+B1 or A2+B2 with several bits incorrect and always in the same memory locations). I have cleared CMOS. I have tried the MemOK! button. I have played with clock rates, voltages, timings. Nothing seems to make a difference. The memory universally works fine in single channel mode, even overclocked, and left running for hours.

One other minor con is the arrangement of the SATA connectors. Having them point towards the front of the board causes interface issues with my drive bays. I really wish they were straight up like most boards.

Other Thoughts: The overhead of sending this board back is not worth it to me for the performance increase of dual channel. But, I am disappointed. Too bad, because I have had great luck in the past with ASUS. I have probably built 10 systems using their boards over the years.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the your experience with running your memory in dual channel on this motherboard. Please try updating the latest BIOS version, load BIOS defaults, save and exit. Try dual channel in slots A2 and B2 slots and set frequency/timing/voltage according to memory manufacturer specifications, or try another memory kit. 1 out of 5 eggsRMA'd twice

Pros: Unable to discuss pro's.

Cons: Bought one, failed to get on-board video to work. RMA'd for a replacement. Got the replacement and the same issue persisted; called ASUS tech support and troubleshot the issue with a known-to-be-working Monitor & PSU hooked up to the motherboard and it failed some basic checks (didn't even beep alerting me to no RAM installed on the test run). RMA'd for a refund. Going to buy from another vendor.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry for the experience you had with the motherboard. Can you tell me what hardware used in the system setup? Have you tried the motherboard outside of the case on a non-conductive surface for another test? Please contact me at cl-benson@asus.com (reference #C1037-8684 in the email subject line) for continued support. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsMay contain awesome.

Pros: Beautiful mobo, very stylish. With style comes awesome power to boot. (no pun intended)
I bought the AMD Llano A8 3870k APU for this board and I have yet to throw at it anything it can not handle so far. I am really impressed with this mobo and APU.

Cons: none yet.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this to anyone trying to build a budget system, considering at the time I got the mobo and processor on sale for 176 bucks for the pair so... I think anyone wanting some gaming power and the ability to have crossfire with out 2 vid cards is the ultimate score.
kudos to you AMD and Asus.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: High quality parts, allows for easy over clocking, very customizable settings in bios, haven't ran into any big problems.

Cons: sata ports are positioned in a way that can be difficult to reach once inside the case.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works really well, BIOS is very intuitive, the ASUS Suite utility is really handy in allowing you to control fan speed/overclocking.

Cons: Knocking off an egg because I had to update the BIOS, which for some reason was difficult. I couldn't find an easy guide for how to do it, despite Asus's "EZFlash" utility. If I could take off half an egg, I would.

Other Thoughts: Fits in a Fractal Design Core 1000....barely. Scrapped it a bit to get it in. Thankfully I won't have to try and take it out. Also was difficult to get some of the cables to fit because they were right against the edge of the case. Partly the case's fault, but Asus could have moved some of the plugs up a bit for some more room.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat FM1 APU Motherboard

Pros: HDMI, optical out, USB 3.0, excellent build quality, good layout, UEFI BIOs, driver DVD is put together pretty well and has everything necessary to get the board up and running, decent price for what it offers

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I used this for a Llano based HTPC build and it works pretty well for that purpose. It's MicroATX so it fits nicely in most HTPC cases, and it has HDMI and optical/toslink spdif out for older receivers. I've had absolutely no problems with it. In fact, this was one of the smoothest PC builds I've ever done.
