1 out of 5 eggsSabertooth 990FX R2.0

Pros: At least it worked when installed. Layout was ok and looks fine.

Cons: Using Windows 8, the computer kept on waking up very early in the morning on various nights after it was installed--wasn't nice since it was in bedroom. This finally stopped for no reason at all.

The Fast Boot feature worked for a while, then stopped.

The board has been confirmed to not work properly with Adaptec 2405 and 5805 RAID controllers. When coming out of Sleep Mode, I get a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). On another computer, using the same board, I cannot do a Windows 7 to 8 upgrade because of an incompatibility issue with an Adaptec 5805 RAID controller. (Adaptec says their board works fine with other motherboards.)

I keep getting an error message concerning ASUS software after a reboot. ASUS has not resolved this and most other issues remain unresolved for several months.

4 out of 5 eggsASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 Works Great Now. Thank you ASUS and AMD. You solved my issues.

Pros: Super happy now that I am finally able to use it. Rocks with the Phenom II Black Edition 980 3.7ghz! Will eventually upgrade to an FX chip but is plenty fast for now.

Cons: I had to knock off an egg for the customer service problems I had with Customer Service. First board was DOA. 2nd one had a socket issue, pulled the pin out when i took it out. Customer Service refused to help me this time, just gave me numbers for the manufacturers. I was very unhappy at this point, but hey they don't cover broken pins and that's your fault.

Other Thoughts: Broken pins are not always the customers the fault, and when it's just one pin, I mean come on I've been building for 10 years! Never had this happen before.

I'm just glad ASUS and AMD took care of it. Hated to think I was going to be out of $500 + dollars I spent on all this stuff!!! If I could give the manufacturers 5 stars or eggs I would do so immediately. They id a super job taking care of the issues from my purchases here.

Sorry Newegg, your egg goes to the manufacturer, and I will definitely think twice about any future purchases.

P.S. I didn't knock off any more eggs than one because the board rocks, and deserves 5 stars.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Excellent gaming board. Nice layout with side SATA connections that don't get in the way like the standard vertical ones. Very simple BIOS screen, for those who like simplicity, and an "Advanced" screen that has all the bells and whistles for a tech-savy person to tweek the machine just right

Cons: RAM is a bit close to the CPU, which makes my Noctua cooler cover all 4 RAM slots. Thankfully, Noctua took all that into account and made a tall enough cooler to clear the Ram easily.

Other Thoughts: I have built 3 gaming computers with this motherboard, and all three have been functioning at full graphics on every game imaginable without a hiccup. My build:

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice MB!

Pros: Install went off without a hitch. The memory I had installed,(Kingston HyperX Predator Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin SDRAM DDR3 2133) didn't auto-config properly, but with one touch of the MemOK! button, everything started up with no issue. The UEFI BIOS is a wonderful thing as well, and the advanced area allows you to tweak about anything you need to. I'm running the memory at 2133MHz and the system is running smooth with no BSODs or other hiccups. Motherboard normal medium temp is around 45C, which I don't think is to bad for my application.

Cons: Memory placement... ASUS always seems to place the memory and processor too close. Right now I've got the stock CPU cooler on and it has enough room, but I'm looking to expand and I'm not sure how much area I actually have without limiting myself. I've got the memory in the farthest spots away from the processor, the light brown slots, and if I wanted to add more memory I'm not sure of the room I'll have for a larger cooler. HDD... The UEFI BIOS as I said before is a nice thing, but, you have to play around with the HDD config before Windows installation works properly, it's not that hard but just a bit of a pain, especially if installing a RAID configuration.

Other Thoughts: This is an all around great board and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a performance MB.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Job ASUS

Pros: Bought this for my first PC build. And i am very impressed. The advanced features of this motherboard are amazing. The quality of this board if out of this world. Tuff military grade component that will last you forever. North Bridge and South Bridge work great. Sata6 and 3.0 USB connections are top of the line. The amount of 2.0 3.0 esata and other connections on the back are very helpful. I love all of the Fan connectors of the board.

There are tons of more things that I love about this board but the main thing is that this board was built to last and to be Over Clocked you wont have to worry about upgrading for a very long time.

Amazing job Asus very impressed and happy with this product.

Cons: I really can think of anything bad about this board.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: This board does everything but the dishes. My favorite feature is the LED trouble lights that let you know where trouble is at a glance, came in handy a few times.

Cons: I will never be able to buy an affordable motherboard again. These things are expensive, but worth it.

Other Thoughts: If you can afford it buy it!

4 out of 5 eggsMy Second review

Pros: Solid, sturdy,good looking

Cons: I did a review on this board about a month ago. The audio failed when I added a second card so I'd like to add that I bought a PCI-E ASUS sound card and it's working great so far.

Other Thoughts: I'm seeing people beating themselves up over the gen3 sabertooth board. There's no reason to beat yourselves up because there is little differences between the gen 2.0 and 3.0 here are some results from a guy that preformed the test with metro 2033 to give you a general idea. Do research to find more results.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this Motherboard

Pros: Excellent Bios
Handles everything I have thrown at it

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I wanted something that would last me for a good time to come. I don't think I could have picked a better MB. The Bios alone is something to see. It's so user friendly with tool tips to tell you what everything does in case you are unfamiliar with them. I would suggest this board to any of my friends.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is a beast

Pros: Handles everything I throw at it and it have not yet set on fire.

Cons: I wish I knew the Gen3 was coming out.... I bought this thing a week or 2 before Gen came out... I wonder if I called Asus if they would let me pay alittle bit more to trade up.

Other Thoughts: ASUS Contact me please or let me know if that even possible and I will contact you then. Thank you for an amazing well built product. I just be more happy with the Gen3
