5 out of 5 eggsAsus F2A55-M LK Works as Advertised

Pros: Works as advertised! I am rebuilding 5 workstations that were initially built with MSI Intel boards and the Asus board works beautifully. I bought this as part of a kit.

Cons: DHL shipping is terrible! Sometimes the parts are shipped by UPS and I can track with no issues. Whenever Newegg chooses DHL I have no idea where my package or when it will arrive. It is suppose to arrive in 4-7 days. If I am lucky it will arrive on the 7th day. A couple of times it has taken 9 business days. I'm working on a budget so I don't have a choice but it's not a good choice.

Other Thoughts: I've run Windows XP, 7 and 8 with no issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little mobo

Pros: Easy to put together, configure, and it fired up first time with me barely having to configure anything. Great trainer motherboard for new system builders. Excellent overclocking options.

Cons: I found nothing wrong with this motherboard other than I wish it came with more screws and sata cables.

1 out of 5 eggsGARBAGE!!!!!!

Pros: AH....It came in a nice Box?

Cons: This a piece of garbage! due yourself a favor and avoid this motherboard! I have spent two months downloading, rewriting, deleting, cleaning, reading, and still blue screening often. Purchased as a bundle here and very sorry I did so. All other pieces of the bundle are fine. Asus MBs inherently have a problem with drivers and bios. Go online to the tech sites to confirm what I say!

Other Thoughts: I am going to remove the board and return it under the warranty. We'll see how that goes? To bad I didn't give up sooner and return it to newegg.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear that you are getting bluescreen of death.

What is the error that you are getting. Have you tried installing only 1 stick or RAM with the bare minimum hard ware installed. Have you tried going into safe mode to see if you still experience BSOD issues.

Looks like the only option you may have is to send it in for repair as the return policy with newegg has already expired.

If you want to send the unit in for service, you can go to service.asus.com

If you have any questions or comments you can email me again at cl-jeffrey@asus.com which I reside in the U.S

ASUS strives to meet and exceeds our customer expectations within our warranty policy.

Regards,

Jeffrey

4 out of 5 eggsNice little motherboard

Pros: Very small, and it works for me

Cons: Wish it supported usb 3.0 and had more usb slots, but hey, it's a micro motherboard

Other Thoughts: Used this to build my very first pc. In my Corsair Carbide 200R case, there isn't screw holes where the bottom SATA cables input are, so it's not as secured as I'd hope it to be

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: Fantastic motherboard. I bought this board for my studio rig, and it works perfectly. Comes stock with some fantastic over clocking options for both the CPU and memory. Tons and tons of features, including an "auto-overclock" option, adjust individual fan speeds, overclock certain video cards, etc. Great board.

Cons: It doesn't make buttered toast.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: Easy to install. I know it's a microATX, but it has plenty of options for me, even overclocking capabilities, and room for expansion. You can access and flash BIOS from the desktop.

To me this is a good choice for a budget build with room for upgrades later.

Cons: Only 2 DIMM slots, but if I wanted more I would have paid more money for a different board.

Other Thoughts: My build:
AMD A6-5400K Trinity 3.6GHz
this motherboard, obviously
G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)
ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III
Antec earthwatts EA500 500W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.2 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply (from a previous build)
COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UB Black /Blue Aluminum Bezel , SECC Chassis ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (also from a previous build)

Here are my WEI scores for what they're worth:

Processor 6.3
Graphics 6.3
Memory 7.2
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 7540D 6.6
Gaming graphics 4071 MB Total available graphics memory 6.6
Primary hard disk 28GB Free (60GB Total) 7.7

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little board

Pros: This is a great little board especially for the price. Used this with an AMD A10-5800K Trinity 3.8GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU installed in a NZXT Crafted Series Vulcan Black Steel / Plastic Gaming mATX Computer Case.

Cons: None that I could see.

Other Thoughts: Perfect board for gamer with a budget. Perfect for a Mini ATX Case.

1 out of 5 eggsHunk of Junk

Pros: NONE

Cons: Purchased the board with a package from newegg. After completion of build unit will not start up was able to get it to show once then the screen went black and cannot get it to boot up again. Do not even get error beeps from the speaker.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We're sorry to hear about the experience you had with the motherboard. Since it POST one-time, please check the video output from the monitor and to the rear I/O, retry testing with the motherboard outside of the case (to eliminate possibility of a short), ensure that the components are installed properly, clear CMOS, and/or swap the PSU. If there's no change, RMA the motherboard using the online submittal form at: http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx or call us at 1-812-282-2787. Thank you.
