2 out of 5 eggsshort life

Pros: Worked Great until it died. Easy to setup. I like Asus MotherBoards and have much respect for the brand have had several quality Asus MoBos and LCDs.

Cons: After a year and half died. would not boot. tested all system components. replaced with a different mother board and system is running great. had to buy new windows key because OEM is bound to the Mobo.

5 out of 5 eggs100% delighted.

Pros: Surprisingly good performance and features for the money. BIOS is detailed and easy-breezy. Boots very fast. One of the few MOBOs available today with a serial port. Had no hardware or software issues while building & setting up a new Windows 8.1 system. No issues after 1 month of operation.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsNO VIDEO / BIOS

Pros: None, I received it and I am assuming the BIOS is out of date and does not support the G3258 processor.

Cons: There is no way to update the BIOS unless I have an older processor such as a G3240. I purchased 3 of these boards and now I cannot use them.

Other Thoughts: If you are purchasing a relatively new CPU, do not waste your money or time on this product.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't work

Pros: none

Cons: Didn't work

Other Thoughts: Green light came on the motherboard when hooked up to everything, but the actual CPU itself didn't run, not even the fans. On the other hand, I was able to refund the motherboard for some of the money that I spent on it.

1 out of 5 eggsNo video or Bios

Pros: None

Cons: Green light and power but no matter what I did I wasn't getting any video or bios from the board. This is my first build and I heard if you take the CPU out and put it in another board it works fine. So I'm supposed to let asus rip me off a second time? Will be very discouraged to buy ASUS in the future if this is the quality I can expect.

Other Thoughts: Big on promises and small on delivery. By the time I get the board out and ship it back my RMA will be up so why bother. Sorry I expected a motherboard I payed a hundred bucks for to work.

3 out of 5 eggsMostly good..

Pros: Not too expensive
Solid feature set for modern computer.
Clearly printed case headers so you don't have to dig in the manual to find how power SW, reset SW, HDD LED, Power LED fit into that matrix.
One of the ones I bought has no problems so far

Cons: I bought 2 of these for my friends' builds. One of them seems to be working fine. The other one had the same problem John M. has (see 1 star review). Where you get power, fans plugged into motherboard spin, but no video, no bios.
We unplugged everything except the cpu and still could not get bios.

Other Thoughts: To solve this issue we took cpu out, put it in another motherbard, booted, took it out of that motherboard and brought it back to this one. Right now it's running fine but I am worried for when it will happen next.

This is the first problem I've had with an ASUS motherboard (recently have built 7 comptuers with ASUS motherboards). Came as a big surprise to me.

It is pretty cheap though..

4 out of 5 eggsGreat but a few Qs

Pros: FAST

Cons: No 3 pin power for case fans?

Looking at the temps with HWMonitor, there are a few on the MB that show 242 F, even right after boot. Is this a quirk in the sensors, or is this normal? It shows 4 MB sensors, and 2-4 are over 200F. Using the Asus monitoring software, it only shows the CPU temps, which are fine.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Complete board with lot of I/O

Cons: * not that many sensors on board
linux lmsensors gives
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1: +27.8°C (crit = +105.0°C)
temp2: +29.8°C (crit = +105.0°C)

Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0: +39.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 0: +39.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 1: +34.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 2: +38.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 3: +33.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
* standby issue w linux: back audio output is very low compare to front

Other Thoughts: * Pay attention with UEFI bios. To install Linux, I had to call boot menu and boot my usb key in non-UEFI mode else it stalled
* Came with two sata black cables (no power cables but they should be in your power unit package)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Great board, ASUS, I hapen to like the new colors. UEFI BIOS is awesome. Plenty of 6gb/s SATA ports especially for a mini. you will run out of space in your case before you will run out of connectors.

Cons: none really if you want to run more then 1 graphics card then you shouldnt have a mini itx case in the first place. I have a Gforce 760 and it barely fits both length and width in my case.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: so far its working like it should.

Cons: Did not come with any sata cables like i thought it did. When i first turned it on all it would do is spin the CPU fan for a half sec.. After checking everything 3 times i pulled the CPU and found a pin on the motherboard slightly bent. I was able to use a needle to line it up with the rest and it works fine now. Im not sure if i managed bend it somehow of it came like that.
