4 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Wi-Fi GO!, easy to install, works very well.

Cons: Wi-Fi adapter driver failed one day after first computer turn on.

Other Thoughts: The Wi-Fi driver failed, and the disc would not clear up the problem. I had to go to the manufacturer website on my laptop, install it, and transfer it to this computer via USB. That immediately cleared up the problem. Other than that, this product is really good.

3 out of 5 eggsonboard wifi... just kidding

Pros: Excellent bios.
Very quick boot times (the fastest I've ever experienced personally).
ASUS.
Good Features.
Natively works with three monitors at once (>2 requires bios setting change) (see "other thoughts")

Cons: On Windows7, the onboard wifi never got over 12mb dl / 4mb ul, while my laptop and two year old TP-Link external wifi (hardly larger then the asus antenna), get 22/7mb or better. To top it off, within a week, the wifi card started reporting "no connections available", while the laptop and TP-Link showed 12+ connections. On ubuntu the wifi card worked, but disconnected randomly every 10-30 seconds for about 10 minutes, before quitting completely.

I also grew frustrated with the bios resetting my boot order every time a drive was removed/added, even if it wasn't the boot drive. I'm not sure how common this is, but it is a nuisance.

Other Thoughts: This motherboard was a replacement for a Rampage III Extreme, which randomly started boot cycling. So it was disappointing to receive a new Asus and have a part fail on it within a week.

I love Asus, and have been loyal for years, having dozens of products, monitors, burners, gpus, mobos, etc. Up until this year, the only product I've had fail, was likely due to a failing PSU which burned out the next day.

I may still buy asus products after this, but I wouldn't recommend this board after reading all the issues with the wifi. At minimum, plan on replacing the wifi card, maybe with one that has WiDi.

I had another issue, while using HDMI output. I tried two different Asus VK278Q monitors, both would go black every 5-30 minutes, while my other monitors continued working. They still appeared to be receiving signal and remained backlit. Rebooting the monitor, or unplugging/replugging the hdmi from the mobo, temporarily fixed the issue. I tried multiple HDMI cables/brands, to no avail. The only thing that seemed to fix the issue was switching to an HDMI to DVI cable. This could be just a monitor issue.

2 out of 5 eggswifi sucks

Pros: great board with nice features

Cons: wifi. it NEVER works. wifi drops every 30 sec with bars at 1 or 2, though i have 0 issues with my phone, laptop, tablet, etc. i bought 2 large antennas to replace the dinky one included. bars are at max now, but it still drops. now i guess i will have to spend another $40-60 for a usb dongle. ugh, very annoyed since integrated wifi was the reason i chose this board over another brand at a lower price.

Other Thoughts: not worth $200 since wifi doesnt work. wifi should work 100% for spending this much money. i won't be buying another asus product.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great onboard Haswell graphics - driving an ASUS PA279Q 2560 x 1440 through the display port.
I'm working with digital photography and this combo is excellent. Multiple digital vid ports are very useful.
With an i7 4770K 3.5GHz, 16 GB RAM, and a Samsung SSD the system flies.

Cons: The vertical power regulation module happens to be where my Cooler Master case has a side fan.
I might move the fan or add another if necessary.
Would have liked 5.1 onboard sound but the stereo sound is good.

Other Thoughts: A premium mobo worth the price if you're building a compact powerful system.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS Z87I-DELUXE

Pros: This is a sweet board, plenty of USB, well thought out features. Upgrading the BIOS is easy, the full-featured BIOS is easy to navigate and optimize.

Cons: None........ Flawless.

Other Thoughts: Motherboard is overkill for my HTPC application using 35W i3 CPU. It did meet my requirements for USB and on board wireless. A few people complained about the wireless, personally I've had no issues. The wireless is rock solid on the 2.4GHx band as well as the 5GHz band. Have it set to use the 5GHz band now as I dedicated %GHz to streaming video at my house with all other computers on my network using the 2.4GHz band. This works well.

4 out of 5 eggsAsus Z87I Deluxe LGA1150

Pros: - Rich in advanced features.
- User friendly.
- Many SATA6Gb/s for an itx board.

Cons: - I wasn't lucky and got a mobo with a defective RAM slot... return process was a charm.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board for overclocking a mini-itx

Pros: > Perfect spacing between components, I could fit almost any CPU heatsink on there!

> I like the color scheme, although many dislike it. I find it goes well with Crucial's Yellow LP Ballistix, if you're into matching the colors of your components.

> Overclocking utilities are always nice to have! I'm not really qualified to explain them, so check out some videos on YouTube.

> A large amount of SATA ports! I don't think I've seen a mini-ITX with this many!

> Also a large amount of USB ports!

> Easy to use clear CMOS button.

Cons: > My BIGGEST bugbear is that the wifi antenna that came with the mobo is just the worst thing I have ever used. It is terrible coated terrible with terrible filling. It can barely see my 5GHz network, let alone connect to it. Its gain is probably like 3 dbi or less. If you want to buy this board because of its integrated WiFi, make sure you buy some decent antennas.

> Some USB ports on the back don't play nice with my headphones. I've yet to discover if it's the headphones or the mobo, though.

> My clear CMOS button was a bit sticky.

Other Thoughts: TL;DR

Very good for overclocking, nice and spacious around the CPU, comes with terrible WiFi antenna.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid and flexible board

Pros: This was the only motherboard that met my requirements. It is in the mini ITX form factor. It has 4 4 pin fan connectors. It has 6 SATA connectors.

The ability to control all of the system fans from the motherboard dramatically reduces fan noise. This, of course, requires buying 4 pin PWM controllable fans (most are only 3 pin). My PC is totally silent while idle and comes up to a whisper soft sound when gaming.

The software tools provided by ASUS are useful. I also had a good experience dealing with ASUS product support.

Cons: I had two of these motherboards. The first was RMA'd because of a very audible buzzing coming from the power circuitry when my graphics card was being stressed. The second board has exactly the same symptoms but the buzzing is much less audible. Since the loud buzzing sound is deemed by ASUS and Newegg to be an RMA reason, this is only a minor con.

Other Thoughts: This motherboard seems perfectly matched to the Noctua NH-L12 cpu cooler and Lian-Li Q18 case. The NH-L12 cooler requires lower profile ram.
