1 out of 5 eggsNo Post. Worthless RMA

Pros: none

Cons: Motherboard arrived and would not post. I tried turning it on after disconnecting the ram and cpu to see if they where the issue and i wouldn't even give me the beep signaling that they weren't connected. All other parts worked aside from this motherboard.

I sent it back for an RMA but it was apparently useless as over a week after my RMA was approved I haven't received a shipping number, email telling me my order has been shipped or any verification that I will ever get my motherboard. I expected better service than this.

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings,

I am sorry that you are having issues with the motherboard. Was the RMA processed through Newegg or ASUS? If you went through ASUS and would like an update on the RMA, please let me know. I have a direct contact to our repair center, so I can give you the most up-to-date information. Thank you. 3363896.

5 out of 5 eggsVery stable, multiple builds

Pros: HDMI, VGA and DVI
Simple setup

Cons: None for the price

Other Thoughts: I own/operate a computer repair and sales store. I have used this board in many new PC builds, probably 30-40. Have not had one problem to date, every system is solid, runs great, all customers have been very happy. No idea why others are having problems with this board, I am unhappy that they are discontinuing it! Hard to find a solid MB with HDMI in this price range. All builds have been with Windows 7... highly recommend this board for 7 install.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Mobo

Pros: High Quality ASUS Motherboard for a great price.
HDMI Output
UEFI BIOS
Runs Great / No Glitches

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Paired this motherboard with an AMD A6 5400K APU, and 8GB of Corsair XMS Memory. Installed Windows 8.1, and everything is running great. Typical High Quality ASUS Build, for a great price. No issues whatsoever.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your time

Pros: None

Cons: Normaly I dont post reviews but I will save you all a major headache!
I had 7 of these motherboards shipped to me at once for a client system build. Every motherboard would post and let you install windows, after that the nightmare started. After a reboot of windows you get cpu thermal warning and it will lock up at post and tell you to enter bios. After you enter bios and check the cpu temps they will be perfect sitting at a meat 38-41c with stock cooler. In windows it idles at 35c. After reboot of windows it will be random getting the lockup again with cpu thermal warning. So I went and tested with one of my water coolers and still cpu thermal warnings and system lock. I had then updated the bios on all systems and the same result. I spent a few mins. on the phone with ASUS and they concluded that the bios modules could be corrupt, I think more like they messed up one of the modules in the bios and they are done for... You have been warned, if you buy these boards prepare yourself for a major headache and a refund with plenty of downtime getting a new board.

Other Thoughts: don't waste your time or money

1 out of 5 eggsNo POST

Pros: I purchased this device because it is relatively new and inexpensive.

Cons: No POST

Other Thoughts: I purchased this motherboard along with:

1 x GeIL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model GEV38GB1866C10DC

1 x AMD Athlon X4 750K Trinity 3.4GHz Socket FM2 100W Quad-Core Desktop Processor - Black Edition AD750KWOHJBOX

1 x COOLMAX ZX Series ZX-600 600W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V v2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC

I am not getting a POST. I have followed Asus's troubleshooting tips to no avail. I only get a beep code when memory is not installed, which is the code to tell me that memory is not installed. I have tried the above memory, Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B, as well as an 8gig stick of Kingston 1600.

When memory is installed, the main processor speeds up and slows down, but never posts.

I have reset the CMOS many times. I have unplugged everything but the necessary. Unfortunately I am unable to give this non working device a good rating.

I would like it replaced, and am looking forward to beginning the RMA process.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the experience you had with the motherboard. Please try the following to troubleshoot no POST / boot scenario:

Try a dedicated display card and/or a CPU with dedicated video to see if the system will POST. Note: If you are trying to use integrated video with your motherboard, you would need to purchase a CPU that supports this feature.

Check that your CPU is supported by the board's BIOS version. The BIOS version can be identified as the last four digits of a bar code label on the side of the motherboard. Then, reference the CPU Support list on the motherboard support page.

Check that the power connections, specifically the 24-pin and 8-pin/4-pin are plugged in. Is the standby LED on? Do the CPU or SYS fans spin at power on? If not, try another power supply.

To ensure that memory will work with the motherboard, use memory from our Qualified Vendors List (QVL). Try using one DIMM in the recommended slot for a simple test.

Should you need further assistance, please contact me through email, and I will be happy to help. Your reference number for this case is 3104435.
